(1) The Exhacienda San Gabriel de Barrera has many lovely, beautiful gardens of different styles. (2) Escarola is a cafe across the street from the Museo Casa of Diego Rivera. The cafe is set overlooking a garden with many herbs growing. Recycled materials are also used in the building and the garden. (5) This is the main house of the Exhacienda San Gabriel de Barrera.

an empty swimming pool, drained of water. 

its vast, hollow space feels like a private sanctuary, isolated from the outside world. the smooth, cool concrete walls surround me, creating a quiet echo chamber where my sobs can resonate without restraint. the emptiness mirrors the feelings inside — a void waiting to be filled.

04/05/24 - Lago Vista, TX - TODAY’S THE BIG DAY - Wondering what the water bill is going to be for the almost 8,000 gallons of water needed to fill the pool. The water hose has been deployed and we’re about ready to turn on the spigot. Hopefully, this is the last time we’ll be looking at an empty pool in our backyard. Can’t wait for our first swim.

So.... how do you want Jazz's enclosure? I'm planning out some things, but I want to know how you want the story to go. Is it completely empty or really nice or something in between?

So far he has two, his main tank and his stage tank.

Please tell me your desire, what is your vision. 🌟

This will effect not only the vibe but the world. Don't let me pick, I have too many possibilities, and I need a point to start the "butterfly effect" lol ^^;

You know by asking me you probably just erased any hope he had for a nice comfy place ahahahha

Basically. I'm thinking of something similar to what most of the real world aquariums have. Which is haaahhm. Not fucking comfortable. Because the whole thing is just a concrete pool. With NOTHING inside. Sure Jazz can escape from it at nights and go wander around but his own place is an empty box. Staff can bring him some toys and fun stuff like music but they aren't allowed to let him keep it.

Half of the reason - empty pool is infinitely easier to maintain. Another half comes from the first one - it is also cheaper. If there's no objects then Jazz wouldn't accidentally break them and their pieces wouldn't accidentally hurt anyone or clog the filtration system or something.

So I'm thinking yeah he would have his main tank and the stage tank but this is it. No pretty/comfy/fun places to live in. Cause that's how bad it is in real life. Empty concrete box that will make you want to bash your head against the nearest wall just from sheer boredom.

I'm not sure what kind of architecture you had in mind but I was imagining something like this pretty much the whole time

Surely there's a lot of people who find this cruel but unfortunately Jazz is basically a money printing machine for the aquarium bosses so their number one goal is to make the most profit with as little expenses as possible.

Which results in Jazz having such poor physical and mental state. Between the performances and training sessions he basically lives in solitary confinement.

Afo walks into the doctors laboratory.

AFO: IM MARRIED AND WITH CHILD!!!

AFO: i will marry Nanas daughter and taint her heroic genes with mine, making an evil baby that might serve as a replacement to Tenko.

AFO comes into the doctors laboratory with a 4 year old Izuku.

AFO: Nanas heroic genes were stronger, and now my supposed to be evil son is a little sweet heart. He wants to save people, doctor.

Doctor: we can always kill him ☺️

AFO, crushing izuku to his chest like a teddy bear: No!

coming back to my summer job again & damn do i love to project so....

lifeguard steve, obviously, worked there for 5 years, its a dead-end job for everyone there, you either get out in high school or you're stuck there until you die. he's a manager, is best friends with the maintenance guy, has learned all the tricks of the trade.

& of COURSE robin is there too - comes back every summer on rotation, she's the life of the office, has created every lightning summoning ritual that works every time. she owns the aux, and will blast closing time 10 minutes before the actual time.

the Party are the neighborhood kids there every afternoon, when the community center daycamp gets out, harassing steve for free entry, begging for the slides to be opened. steve gives them a hard time everytime, but as long as they clean up the parking lot trash he lets them in.

& eddie..... eddie is a regular who steve can NOT figure out. he's a mystery. steve knows ALL the regulars, is best friends with dorene who opens the pool at 6am for her water walking, chats a storm with the swim coach elaine, even has broken down old harold who brings his baking experiments once a week.

but eddie, who comes in three days a week, always at 2pm, the least busy time at the pool, lays in the sun in all black for way too long, before hopping in to water walk for a full hour. and steve, always working, spends the whole hour staring daggers at eddie, who 80% of the time is the only one in the pool. it kills him. and eddie seems oblivious - little ear wrap headphones going, bopping his head. and then, by the time he hops out, the pool is back filling up again with all the water activities, and he always tries to hold a conversation with steve, who now is distracted and pissed at not getting his lull in the day, and nods not listening.

so eddie is his nemesis swimmer.
