yo, do ya have any favourite lyrics and/or line distributions? akito getting multiple lines about dogs is neato

Hoshizora no Melody has my favorite lyrics in the game it's not even a tough choice. I love how well every character's arc is conveyed through only a few lines it's so good. Emu could never and would never leave PXL (her grandad) behind, and WxS was able to finally change things for her and help her protect it. Rui was outcast his whole life and he came to accept it as something that would never change - it wasn't until WxS (Tsukasa) reached out to him and let him be passionate about his dreams without judging him that he was finally able to turn things around. Tsukasa throws his all into theatre (making people happy) and it's something that is so deeply ingrained as a part of himself, but WxS let him actually pave the way to make his dream a reality. Nene was too shy to face anyone and couldn't get over the things in her way (her past failures), but she was able to rediscover her passion for singing and is able to sing for everyone once again.

The prechorus parts too, Emu and Tsukasa sing the part about realising that the world can make people smile because both of their dreams are to make people smile. Emu and Rui singing about the world giving life back to things they'd given up because Rui gave up on the thought of belonging and Emu was going to have to give up the Wonder Stage. Rui getting the part about celebrating the colors of the world because his dream is to create shows that anyone can enjoy regardless of identity.

As you said I think Akito getting lines about dogs is a nice little bit of recurring irony. I particularly like this example from Gekokujo that conveys his unwavering determination and drive even when he's faced with forces pushing against him really nicely. Also just Gekokujo's lyrics as a whole I think reflect the event so well.

N25 probably has the best lyric game like there's so many good examples from their songs. Particular favorites would have to be Engeki for summarising basically Mafuyu's entire life in such a gut-punching way, and Tricologe for a similar reason for Hoshizora in that it just does such a good job of representing every character.

Gunjou Sanka is another favorite of mine. If you couldn't tell by now I love stuff that either tells a story or describes a character. Or both. All of Gunjou Sanka is so good and really packs a punch with the emotions but I really like the first verse and prechorus here where it describes the basics of each main story in just one or two lines each. I especially love the Leo/need segment about being able to believe in wanting to stay together since they've moved on from their pasts and are reuinted now.

And how could I forget Mr. Showtime. This one has such clever lyrics and I love the use of parentheses to add secondary meanings to certain parts. The whole song is perfection but I'm particularly fond of this section here, specifically the last line because it understands Tsukasa so much better than like half the fandom does. Theatre is something that Tsukasa genuinely dedicates everything to, in some ways (every way) it is his life. Phoenix is a great example to demonstrate that because it highlights just how much it means to him and how he's willing to put it above everything else, including his own wellbeing, to try and overcome the obstacles he faces. At the end of the day though, even if it's tough and can feel like it's taking too long or isn't worth it, the roadblocks he doesn't anticipate are the ones that help him improve most and get closer to his dream than anything else.

also just this one lyric from Showtime Ruler I love character development. Karasuyasabou actually says that's his favorite in the song, and he talked quite a lot about the lyrics for the rest of the song in his corocoro interview. I'd suggest giving it a read because it's pretty interesting what he says about how he wrote it.

Mafuyu is a high-ranking sanitized octoling soldier, despite the Tenmas + Toya being from the Metro too, they don't know each other due to military ranks

Due to the metro being freed, Toya was not fully sanitized like Mafuyu, which is the reason I have come up with for his hair being like that

Akito has seen Ena go into the deepsea before and is very against the idea. Toya says it's probably a bad idea to go there so it must be horrible

Ena and Akito's dad does NOT like octolings and taught them not to since it's a thing a lot of inkling parents tell their kids.

May I request little Rui and cg tsukasa?

Yup yup, on it!

-Rui's age range is normally around 4-6, he's not the littlest out there but he's not quite a big kid either. He's a bit scared of bringing up that he's a regressor to others, scared that they'll think he's weird and leave him, but Tsukasa (and Emu, Nene, and Mizuki, his other cgs) is doing all he can to show him that it's alright, it's important for him to be small when he needs to be, a fact Rui is slowly but surely trying to learn.

-Tsukasa likes to think that he's quite a good caregiver! Surely the best big brother in the world would be amazing at taking care of little ones, right? He knows that he has more to learn though, and he's working hard to become the best cg anyone's ever seen! Rui feels incredible flattered that he's willing to do this all for him, he's probably his main caregiver at this point.

-Rui mainly regresses due to how rough his actual childhood was, the bullying and isolation robbing him of the one he truly deserved. Overworking himself and strong emotions are normally what directly cause him to slip, him feeling overly upset, loved, or tired leads to a very little alchemist. He normally tries to hide that he's small, but the others have managed to figure out a few of his tells. He's much more clingy, and he's more likely to show his emotions, so even when he's doing all he can to pretend he's big Tsukasa and the rest of his cgs can see it clear as day.

-It's very common for Rui to slip while working on his inventions, leading to a lot of frustration from the poor little one. He's still quite smart when he's regressed, but these days his robotics and such are so complex, and he just can't seem to get them to work right, he should be able to do this...to prevent any unnecessary tears Tsukasa normally tries to keep Rui from working on his more complex projects while small.

-However, his little one still has that inventing itch, but Tsukasa knows how to help set it free! He's gotten Rui plenty of things such as blocks and other building toys for when he's small, and he helps him with arts and crafts sort of things too. Sometimes Rui gets an idea for an invention when he's little, and so he doesn't get hurt or upset by making it real Tsukasa will help him build it out of other things! The "bestest rocket in the whole wide world" became one made out of cardboard boxes, the "most amazing fort ever" was built out of pillows and blankets, they're perfect for his little inventor!

-Of course, even while small Rui still loves doing shows! He bases most of them on stories he's read, and Tsukasa is usually one of the first people he shows what he's done, either with his fellow little ones or plushies performing alongside him. His practical effects can't be as elaborate as when he's big, but he still does his best to work with that he can! This usually involves him going to the Virtual Singers for help, or basing his shows on things he can use around him (Emu has the sprinker set up today? He can do a show about the ocean! Oh, he has his blankie? He should do a show where he's a superhero!)

-Rui has a lot of electronic toys, but he's also quite attached to his plushies, mainly a cat named Hidari he's had since he was really young. He almost always has it with him, and if he's ever too embarrassed to tell Tsukasa something he'll have Hidari "say" it. When Tsukasa first saw his little cat it was in very bad shape, but he was able to sew it up good as new for a very grateful little guy <3

-Rui is still quite the dramatic, even when he's little X3 Tsukasa says he has to finish his dinner before having candy? Goodness, how could he hurt him like this?? He's the worst Papa in the whole wide world! How dare! He's a bit more shy with when Tsukasa does nice things for him, getting quiet and trying to insist that he doesn't need it, it's okay. ("Here, Rui, I fixed this hole in Hidari up!" "R-Really? Th-Thank you, don't deserve it..." "Of course you do! You deserve every good thing in the world, little comet!" "Papa...")

-Rui's very scared of making mistakes or causing people to get hurt or upset with him when he's little. Especially Tsukasa, he's terrified at the thought of him not wanting to take care of him anymore. If he ever breaks something or makes Tsukasa even the slightest bit unhappy while he's small, he panics, trying to hide or run away so he won't have to see him get mad or leave him. Luckily, Tsukasa would never do such a thing, and he's always willing to prove to Rui that it's alright, nothing could ever make him stop being his friend or taking care of him <3

-Tsukasa loves putting on shows for Rui when he's small, they always make his small one smile :D he's able to get Rui to do a lot of things he doesn't want to do by turning it into some sort of show or game, like cleaning or going to bed, though his attempts at doing so with getting him to eat his veggies have fallen flat TwT

-Rui's very, very cuddly, being held or snuggled makes him melt. Tsukasa's the only one that can pick him up, so uppies from his papa are very prevalent! One of the few ways to get him to fall asleep is to have Tsukasa beside him, especially with Hidari or a bedtime story <3

...Okay. The cards aren’t even out yet and I’m already noticing things that I need to yell about.

But given the themes of WxS having to think about splitting up to achieve their dreams that we’ve had in the past few WxS events, I feel like this event is going to punch Tsukasa in the gut especially.

but here’s a funny little thing I noticed about the trained cards.

Rui, Emu and Nene all have the same makeup pattern. Which is cute. But Tsukasa doesn’t.

And his makeup pattern is very clearly A TEAR.

THIS WAS DEFINITELY DONE ON PURPOSE. Not only is his eye makeup pattern completely different from the rest of his troupe, but it’s also A TEAR.

and not just that. Is it just me, or does Tsukasa’s eyes in his trained card look a lot darker than the others?

Like...I wouldn’t say it’s a full Mafuyu eyes moment, but...

BUT IT’S PRETTY DAMN CLOSE.

But the big main thing that jumped out to me with Tsukasa’s trained card is this:

Puppet strings.

Given the themes of WxS having to consider splitting up to pursue their dreams, Tsukasa having - more specifically, controlling - puppet strings in his card is... ...Concerning.

So potentially the story of the event could be Tsukasa having to confront this possibility, but at the start he refuses to even consider it as a possibility and wants to keep his new friends together as much as he can.

...And of course there’s the Mafuyu parallel with her being a marionette and Tsukasa being a puppeteer but if I went into that we’d be here all day-

Personally I’m on team Rui just because I’ve liked Rui since I first saw him in the WxS main story and I didn’t really like Akito til the Stray Bad Dog event but I like both characters just Rui a little more

He'll tag along with you whenever he can, telling you his ideas for shows and various stories from practices with WxS

He'll definitely do things like brushing your hands together or placing his hands on your shoulders to show you something, but if asked, he'll say it was an accident. It very much wasn't-

Behind your back, he'll gush about you to WxS. Nene will be exasperated while Tsukasa and Emu give him very out there ideas for ways to ask you out

Akito:

Akito will avoid you for a bit. He will dodge you as much as he can, because surely avoiding you will make the flutter in his chest leave. Surely avoiding you will get rid of his warm face

Except it doesn't, and he doesn’t know what to do.

His first tactic is to play into his charming facade, because surely he'll be more sure of himself. If you're charmed by this, congrats! You spare him of the embarrassment-

If that doesn't work, he just tries to go back to normal, but you can tell that there's something wrong with him. Why does he keep avoiding your gaze?

Once he becomes slightly more sure of himself though, he invites you to his live shows. He feels more free when he performs, and he hopes that his confidence works in his favor

He'll ramble about you to Toya, but he will melt in embarrassment if An or Kohane overhear him. An will tease him while Kohane will just cheer him on <3

awawawa so tsukasa tenma. world future star. he isn’t too different from canon tbh. he’s still loud as always, got that high ego, got those memory issues and everything. his past isn’t much different from canon either. his goal to be a star still came from wanting to make people smile like shows made saki smile, but he forgets that, etc etc you get how it goes. but yknow. n25 swap. he isn’t doing great.

he tends to set high standards for himself, and he’s been trying really hard to get into the acting scene, but it hasn’t been going well. the constant failures have slowly but surely been weighing on him. he’s got a lot of frustration building up, and all that has definitely hit him in the self esteem department *just a tad*, but he does not acknowledge that! cause of course he doesn’t. he’s tsukasa tenma, he’s going to be a star! a star like him doesn’t have time to worry about stuff like that. all he needs to do is keep pushing forward, keep trying harder and harder, just don’t think about the past and all the constant setbacks and he’ll be fine! probably. he has to be fine after all. what kind of a star would he be if he wasn’t?

saki and toya do notice smth’s up with him, saki especially, but tsukasa being tsukasa he lies to them, both intentionally and unintentionally. by that i mean like. like he genuinely Does Not Know he’s not fine. he is just avoiding thinking about his own negative feelings too much, so he just does not fucking realize. when he’s confronted with the idea that he might not actually be perfectly fine, he’s genuinely confused. so when he’s asked if he’s okay, he says yes, because he’s sure he is. and sure sometimes he gets a little down, and he does intentionally lie to them those times, but its simply nothing his siblings need to worry about, so there’s no point in telling them! they don’t need to know, cause he’ll be okay! he can deal with it on his own, he *has* to deal with it on his own, he’ll (repress it) get over it soon enough! no need to worry them :)

like i mentioned, tsukasa’s also the only one still actively doing theater at the time of the main story. he loves it, he’s dedicated to it, he hasn’t given up on it yet. and he gets to be the one to get hw back into it. yayayayay. i like to think hw is very fond of him, like rui and nene were w/ emu. here’s another one of their group who holds so much passion for theater and loves it, and who hasn’t given up on it. they believe in him. its like living vicariously through him. yk. they might not know each other too well yet, but they hope it goes well for him.

and like idk but the thing about tsukasa and theater is that its So important to him, he’s devoted so much of his life to it, he can’t see himself doing anything else. he doesn’t have a driving motivation for it, he can’t remember it, but all he’s sure of is that he has to reach this goal. so like. when faced with the idea that maybe he *isn’t* good enough to become a star like he wants to, its terrifying to him. so he just. doesn’t think about that. every failed audition, every rejection, every setback is a reminder of that though. main story gets him to his last straw. which is fun!

again. main story ideas are giving me trouble. and i’m still figuring stuff out. so not elaborating too much on what happens. but after a series of events tsukasa remembers and gets the rest of hw on board w/ trying to do shows again. cause like, again they don’t know each other that well but tsukasa does care about them, he wants to make people smile and his friends are included in that. he wants them to enjoy shows again. he wants his friends happy. and w/ enough persuasion hw joins him and yayy they become a theater troupe. yippee :3

I get that some people don’t like tsukasa angst and feel like it’s just people wanting to see something that’s not there or that it’s just exaggerating but like, you guys. C’mon. All of WxS have pretty sad stuff going on and are not only connected bcs of smiles, but also loneliness.

AND. LIKE. How am I supposed to take him seriously when they literally treat him like a joke?? WxS interactions w him are mostly pretty obviously meant to be humorous, with emu ignoring all he says, nene making fun of him, and rui being rui. Toya’s adoration is also portrayed as a joke a lot of times, and generally kasa is portrayed as a joke; a loud, obnoxious, arrogant kid who does silly poses and embarrasses himself on public and writes silly plays like Romeo battle royale. And it just annoys me cuz we know a lot about him and he’s so much more and yet nothing really changes. And I guess nothing *can* change bcs those are his character traits and like the core of the character. And his sekai. But it also sucks and feels kind of unfair to me that he’s not really allowed to be taken seriously even after all his events.

He’s literally mafuyu’s parallel. Mafuyu was an unwilling marionette of his mother, molding herself and her life around her, even though she convinced herself that she didn’t care about that, about anything, while Kasa almost wanted to be be one, and molded his identity based on what he thought would make others happy (his family, after what he saw on that show), even though in his main story he seemed to have convinced himself that he was doing it for himself. (And eventually remembered that it was for others)

This whole post makes absolutely no sense probably cuz I haven’t rlly organized my thoughts I’m just rambling and so I’m not gonna tag it but. Idk there’s something about how kasa is portrayed that irks me???? And it just doesn’t feel right

stanza 2 lines 1+2 - emu a silly little clown who balances on silly beach balls. also i think she had a ball in her mr showtime card ??

stanza 2 lines 3+4 - "It is simply my job" RUI LINE RUI LINE also he used to get laughed at :(

stanza 3 line 1 - nene + miku line. nene used to stay in the audience and cry and wxs helped her on stage. yeah i kind of made that poetic what you gonna do ab it.

stanza 3 line 2 - emu and rui striving to see people smile :(

stanza 3 line 3 - we know rui's parents aren't around a lot so him singing the part about being unknown to his parents kind of felt right. and nene as an onlooking knowing that his parents know nothing of the bullying n stuff he used to go through like damn

stanza 3 line 4 - i wanted to have tsukasa absolutely absent other than the beginning verse until this part because he doesn't tell his troupe about the pain he's going through unlike everyone else, who at least somewhat know each other's pain !! instead he tries to comfort everyone else

stanza 4 line 1 - tsukasa reassuring everyone that he doesn't hurt but he DOES and he doesnt want to screw up again

stanza 4 line 2 - miku coming in at the part where tsukasa insists HE wants to see people smile bc miku is like ... personification of what he wants and she also wants to see people happy

don't have much for lines 3 + 4 just though they would sound good

stanza 5 - this is really just rui calling tsukasa out on his bullshit + a refrence to the main story where rui gets mad at tsukasa for lying

stanza 6 - just wxs being supportive. specifically in the last line though miku states the part about possibly being embarrassed and that he shouldn't feel that way so yeah

stanza 7 line one - i think emu would also be a good fit for the smile part but she also gets a fuck ton of lines so. also rui mentioning smiles and that tsukasa doesn't have to focus on everyone else all the time !!

disclaimer i havent read ALL of the stories yet (i’ve read the main ones but not all the side stories n events and stuff) so if some of this is already confirmed or not idk 

- I like to think tsukasa plays w the kids after the shows.... since he’s usually the main prince character, i’m sure all the kids love him, so i like to think after the show ends he comes out to the front to play w the kids, and im sure they would love him. and the way he took care of saki’s bunny plushie in the sekai oughgh he’s so good at just cheering people up ,, like he probably comes across a fair amount of children just having a bad day in the park and he’s able to make them feel better and enjoy their time at phoenix wonderland

- semi related to the last point, and probably goes without saying, but i feel like tsukasa’s REALLY good at improv. i know he kinda got caught really off guard in the main storyline show, but like we see with the bunny plushie from the sekai, he’s good at coming up with things on the fly. since it seems like prince pegasus is his default character that he goes to, he probably knows it pretty well so it’s easy for him to assume that role and just start acting 

- i feel like as wxs becomes a more popular group in phoenix wonderland, they become more well known throughout the park. so like, yknow when you’re at disney or something and the kids see a character walking around and get excited? i feel like its kind of like that, the kids would see one of the members of the troupe and get excited and want to talk to them. especially after their show went viral (after the most recent event) i’m sure they’d be recognized around town too

- this is semi canon cause we’ve seen it in a lot of stories but . tsukasa talks to himself so much sdflksj but i feel like its to the point where he like narrates his day in his head

- ive only seen a little bit of emu with her family (from the event) but i feel like she’s much more quiet and less active around them. not cause she can’t be silly around them or something, like she’s still kinda silly around her brothers, but yknow how you act different around your friends than your parents? like even if you’re close with your family, you still behave a little better and make different jokes than you would with your friends? i think she does that it’s just a lot more drastic than most people cause her default with her friends is like being very loud and bouncing off the walls lol she’s still active and high energy with her family, but just to a more controlled, more tame degree. i think she’s decently close with her family tho. not as close as like, tsukasa and saki, i don’t think they’re like best friends but she’s got a good relationship with all of them

- i think rui and nene still hang out the most one on one rather than with the entire group. like i feel like the wxs troupe doesn’t have a Lot of time to hang out outside of shows, like they all seem kinda busy? they rehearse together regularly tho so they Do hang out together like All the time, but i mean like non-show related, just hanging out together as friends. i feel like they’re mostly just too busy to get the whole group together on non-rehearsal days most of the time. but rui and nene, being neighbors and childhood friends, probably hang out a lot on their own

Tsukasa: The two androids, me and Asahi... Does that mean it will be a double starring?

Rui: Yeah, that's what’'s going to be.

Well, strictly speaking, the center of this story is Alfred though.

After all, the main plot is about a heartless android who gradually gains a soul.

However, Bartlett also has a final highlight. So I think it's fair to say that it's practically a double starring performance.

Asahi: Great! It sounds interesting! What an honour to play the lead role with Myles.

Tsukasa: …Yeah! Acting with Asahi seems also to be a great learning experience for me.

So… which one of us is going to act as which android?

Rui: About who to assign the roles to, I'm still undecided.

Asahi: Huh?

Rui: I still don't know much about Asahi's acting.

So I'm going to switch between them while practicing alternately and decide for the one that fits better.

Tsukasa: I see, I’d have expected that from you, Rui. I have no objection!

Asahi: Yeah! That kind of stuff is really exciting!

Rui: Thank you very much. As for the other roles, I will bring the script home today and think about them. Will that be okay with everyone?

Emu: Yes!!

ARKLAND member A: I can't wait to see you read the script!

Rui: (Yes. First of all, we're starting in a good mood)

What are you going to do about the roles of me and Tsukasa-kun for the time being? You'll decide which android to play later, won't you?

Rui: This time, I'd like Asahi to temporarily play the android Alfred from Country A, and Tsukasa to play the android Bartlett from Country B.

And then, depending on the scene and situation, we'll take it in turns

The others are still the same: Emu is the frontier girl who picks up Alfred. Nene is Bartlett's education sergeant.

Rui: Well then, let's start the reading now.

Tsukasa: “Good morning, Alfred. How are you feeling? "

Rui: One more time.

Tsukasa: …Rui, weren’t youv going to check the flow this time?

Rui: I apologize for saying that, but... It just doesn't feel like an android. I just need you to step into the role a little bit more.

Tsukasa: Hmmm... like an android...

Nene: Acting as an android seems difficult. I wonder how I would do it…

Emu: Hmmm... "Good Morning! Alfred! ” 

Nene: Is that an android...?

Asahi: Hmm…

Hey, Rui-kun, can I have a chance to have a dialogue with Tsukasa-kun at the beginning?

Rui: yes, certainly.

Asahi: Let's do it then, Tsukasa-kun! I'll do my best to look as android-like as possible!

Tsukasa: Oh, thank you very much… Okay, so…

“...Good morning, Alfred. How are you feeling? "

Asahi: “Good morning, Bartlett. I’m fine”

Tsukasa: (W-what? This feeling…)

(It's like if you're talking to someone else. Even though Asahi-san only said one line...)

Asahi:”t's a beautiful sunny day and the temperature is just right. I'm sure even the professor feels comfortable spending time here”

Tsukasa: ( ...! I see. I thought it would be more like an android if I didn't add too much intonation, but…)

(it’s the opposite. If you are intended to be an android that communicates with people, you should speak in a way that is easy for people to understand and with a certain degree of intonation)

“...Since it's so sunny, it would be good if the professor was able to get out of the lab once in a while

Asahi: “That's not going to happen. He's like a mole in the dirt, he likes to stay in his lab”

Tsukasa: “That's right.. Is there something we can do about that isolating habit? ”

Rui: “How irritating to be called a mole. Even tho I’m your creator”

Asahi - Tsukasa: “professor”

Rui: Yup. I think we’re good for now. I think we need to work a little bit more on getting the two of you in tune with each other.

Tsukasa: Really…!

Thank you, Asahi.

Asahi: Haha, actually I didn't do anything.

Tsukasa: No, no. Thanks to you, I think I've got a bit of a better idea of how to be more android-like.

Asahi: Well then, good for you! … And, ah right

What kind of thoughts did the professor in this play have, and for what purpose did he created an android? ... If you think about that and play it out, it might help you to act better.

Tsukasa: …!

(...I see. I thought that if I was thinking about acting as an android, I would act like an android, but…)

(Thinking about that the two androids should be based on the intentions of the doctor in the play... huh?)

(Even though there are so many things to think about, such as what kind of tasks do you want them to do, how humanised do you want them to be...)

Asahi: …Tsukasa-kun?

Tsukasa: Oh, oh! It's nothing!

Emu: You two looked like real androids!

Nene: I was surprised by Asahi-san's performance. But I'm glad Tsukasa was able to adapt too.

Rui: (...As I thought, Asahi-san is going to be a good influence on Tsukasa-kun)

Well then, let's carry on with the reading.

Nene: What do you mean? Are you saying that someone else broke into this lab at the same time as us?

ARKlAND member A: “Stay alert, Sergeant Willis! Think of this as a battlefield! “

Nene: “R-Roger! “

(Wow, what an amazing voice...! My ears are ringing...!)

(But... that's right. If you actually rush in with a gun and something irregular happens, it should give much tension...)

Emu: “Ah? Mom, someone's fallen over there! ”

ARKlAND member B: Oh, Emu-chan. Maybe you should lower your voice a little more in this scene.

This is a frontier area, so the setting doesn't have a lot of military people, but you might be expecting that the person who's fallen could be a soldier.

Emu: Oh, I see! I'll try!

Rui: (...I can see they are the cast of ARKLAND. Even though it's only been a few days since the program was decided, they've done a lot of reading and acting)

(Asahi, in particular, seems to have almost mastered the rather difficult role of Alfred)

(And… apparently it seems that he still has a lot of energy left. Wel…)

(I wonder how Tsukasa will feel upon seeing this)

Tsukasa: (...I didn't expect to see such a difference in ability just from reading together…)

(And it's not just Asahi. All of them had only been given their scripts a few days ago, but they had already read this and gotten into their roles)

(No, that's not all. They think a lot about other roles so that the whole work will be better... Yet I'm so busy with my own role...)

(...No! No! Stars doesn’t have such vulnerable behavior!)

(If you think you don't have enough power, you just need to build it up!)

(...We need to think more and more like i did with Torpe. We need to get closer to the stars of the world...!)

Rui: Now then, let's read through to the end!

Emu: Wow… That was a good story…

ARKlAND member A: I really liked the final scene where they meet on the battlefield…

Nene: Yeah. I'm glad we' re both getting to know each other properly.

Rui: FuFu, I'm glad you all liked it.

(Yes. It's quite a nice atmosphere. Just…a bit uncertain from here on)

(They… I wonder how far they'll be willing to follow my directions)

Well, now that the reading is over, I think I'll start directing the opening scene right away.

Tsukasa: When you say the opening scene, you mean the one where the… laboratory is attacked?

Asahi: The androids’ daily life is suddenly destroyed. I'm looking forward to it because it's a tense scene.

Rui: Yes. Give that sense of tension…

I really want to recreate that attack scene.

oooh i want to know whats up in the revue au! :DD (<- guy who's obsessed w revue but knows a little abt wxs)

bouncing off the walls i am going CRAZY planning this rn! here's the main story section i rewrote:

tsukasa finds a mysterious song called untitled on his phone while preparing for a job interview at phoenix wonderland. upon playing it, the track being a weird ringtone with a picture of a giraffe, he is transported via space-time-breaking elevator to an underground stage, and is greeted by catgirl hatsune miku and her friend the giraffe.

the giraffe details the revue’s purpose: stage girls (or in his case, boys) singing and dancing brilliantly to achieve the ‘top star’ and their dream stage. tsukasa, hungry for recognition on a world-class stage, agrees to join the revue.

he leaves the underground stage and is immediately late for his job interview. joy.

blah blah blah he joins emu at the wonder stage blah blah blah. leaving out the sekai part. tsukasa and emu see rui doing his guerilla show.

surprise. tsukasa gets called to his first revue, and his opponent is rui. tsukasa uses this as an opportunity to try and get rui to join the troupe, and they strike a deal: if tsukasa wins then rui joins (along with a fourth member), and if rui wins then nothing happens and they go about their day. tsukasa wins, but not without a good fight.

but also there’s a lot of things going on: drones, robot decoys and other unconventional stage directions make it hard for tsukasa to reach rui properly (up until the end, anyway)

rui and nenerobo (aka nene's robot decoy) go to practice the next day. yay.

blah blah blah their first show goes wrong. nene reveals herself and the group splits up due to tsukasa being a dummy and blowing up at her. what joy.

tsukasa faces his next revue against hatsune miku herself. she helps him realise his true feelings about stardom by beating him in the revue.

stage notes: revue of memories (miku v tsukasa)

this serves to replace the scene with the rabbit plushie

the stage is set out similarly to a child’s playset, reflecting tsukasa’s less-polished works from his childhood

the scene changes dramatically depending on the scenario miku wants to depict: e.g. a scene about pirates (in line with the canon scene) makes the stage change to a boat on the waters (and tsukasa has to fight her while the stage is tipping from side to side in the middle of a storm! what joy!)

eventually the stage becomes a hospital room and tsukasa gets to see a re-enaction of an average visit to saki (his sister) when they were younger

as he’s watching, miku takes a chance and takes position zero. tsukasa realises his initial purpose for pursuing an acting career, and thanks miku for the wake-up call.

upon leaving the revue, tsukasa prepares to say sorry to the rest of the gang… but he does it through revues because that’s why i redid the plotline in the first place

stage notes: revue of wonder (tsukasa v emu)

set is made to resemble the theme park: lots of moving platforms as a representative of the ferris wheel, among other things (e.g. trampoline dome, roller coaster)

also emu pulls a mahiru and hops around the other stages (including nene v rui)

tsukasa eventually catches emu on the ferris wheel and that’s when she explains the grandpa thing to him

tsukasa wins

stage notes: revue of secrecy (tsukasa + emu v nene)

made with resemblance to the performance where nene forgot her lines

the revue starts with nenerobo in place of nene, and basically the two just have to chase her around while nene hides in the backstage somewhere

eventually she comes out and fights them

stage notes: revue of loneliness (tsukasa + emu + nene v rui)

similar to revue of alchemy but without the rooftop: instead it has fantasy elements as rui retells his ‘eccentric alchemist’ narrative

kind of runs like a re-live actually… tsukasa jumps on the stage and interrupts the script where rui would have ended/looped the performance

boom. dramatic fight scene. tsukasa dramatically asks rui to rejoin the troupe, which he does (at the expense of his medal).

ta-daaaaaa. peace restored

yeah you still might need to read the canon main story (this is just a copypaste from my notes so far) but yes! things are happening and its still incredibly gay!

and if its not in line with the revue canon let's just say hatsune miku screwed everything up :D

stuff from my prsk apocalipsis au based off one of my dreams :D!! if i don’t share this i’ll die, be nice to me pls

important, in the main story aka the thing i’m writing akito is the main character

Sekais work like normal, it doesn’t really matter though because most people lost their phone early on

Akito, Toya, Rui, Tsukasa, Mizuki, Nene and An are the main group, Minori, Shiho and Kohane are the first group they find

Akito gets bitten really early trying to look for Toya but instead of turning he develops similar physical capabilities as the zombies. He can go long periods without sleeping or resting and he’s a lot stronger

Minori also got bitten but she does turn. She took way longer than a normal human to turn. Kohane knows about it. Shiho doesn’t. She got bitten a bit before getting to the government camp site

Nobody knows about akito’s bite. They just know soemthing happend and now he’s op but that’s it

The trio and kamikou meet at the government site

The government site has this registration cards that are necessary to enter, main group doesn’t have them

The trio convices kamikou to help them as kohane still has a working phone + they have the cards

Minori dies not long after meeting kamikou

Shiho is so mad at Kohane for not telling her

Concepts I'm debating about that probably won’t be relevant to the main story

Splitting up kamikou might be fun but they’re all in different classes except like two pairs one of which has Mizuki so for now i like to think they started as this giant group that started rapidly dying

Ichika Haruka Saki is one group

I’d like to think that my favorite fail girls Emu and Honami end up meeting Mafuyu and having the only healer in the story being in their group simply because it’s funny

Airi and Shizuku are a pair, I’d like to think Airi dies saving Shizuku from something stupid she did!!! Or maybe Airi wasn’t able to save Shizuku after fighting with her

I’m not too sure where to put Kanade and Ena but i think Ena would try to stay alone as much as she can and Kanade struggles to survive going from group to group hoping she doesn’t die along the way

I love the idea of Ena being completely alone not trusting anyone and one of the group she’s in decides to kill her since they don’t trust her, she dies completely alone!!! Ena survives really long though

I think Kanade wouldn’t found out about the outbreak until a few days later, as she doesn’t go out of her house at all

Maybe Kanade meets Shizuku after airi dies???

okay so there's a lot to address in the wxs main story but i want to talk abt the sekai and specifically tsukasa's feelings towards it.

Tsukasa is the only leader of a sekai to go into the sekai and be in terrible denial about it. Sure everyone thinks it's a dream and even he thinks that at first, and then he skips to "That didn't even happen". It's implied with the other leaders that they know it happened on some form, whether dream or physical but he straight up denies it.

This leads to the last image, his repression of trauma.

It's pretty fucking severe.

We all know Tsukasa is putting on a fake bravado that is just a lie on top of excuses on top of lies. He but he tries to justify this with a "half-truth" because Tsukasa DOES want to be the world's #1 star but that is not his primary goal. That is not why he wants to be the worlds #1 star. He does this with everything he wants to ignore. The show was a failure due to NeneRobo running out of battery? Technically it is Nene's fault. Emu hired him specifically to make shows but he doesn't really like the stage? Ignore Emu until threatened to perform with her, and even then make remarks about the stage.

Now how does this connect with his sekai? I hear you say "Oh well because his sekai is everything he's repressed" and you're right. His sekai is the manifestation of everything he didn't want to remember unlike every other group. Ichika wanted her best friends back, Kohane wanted to be brave like An, Minori was determined to be an idol and worked her hardest, and Kanade just wanted to save people. Now of course these are shallow versions of the true depth of why their sekais exist but you see the point. Everything in Tsukasa's sekai is a reminder of how much of a failure he is and how he was never enough. He couldn't save his sister, he couldn't keep her friend group from falling apart, and he couldn't make anyone happy. Until he started doing shows and while it wasn't saving anyone, it made them happy.

Tsukasa's happiness is based on everyone else's happiness despite the front he puts on. If he were truly that shallow narcissist that Rui said he was he wouldn't have apologized. He would've kept making excuses. You can say "but he only wanted the rest of wxs back because he was lonely" and SURE! Yeah i'd be pretty fucking lonely too but also he notices that what he did to Nene was wrong. What he did to Emu was wrong. What he put Rui through was wrong. Character growth, everyone.

So, how did this sekai make it worse for him when obviously it made him remember what he wanted? Why he wanted?

Because as much as you lie to yourself you can never escape the truth. It will always find you. This sekai is a sickening reminder of that.

Tsukasa was scared of the truth, he was scared to remember how useless he once was and how pitiful he was. I'd like to bet he knew this upon entering the sekai. Or at least, it the sekai felt uncomfortable. Tsukasa is scared of the sekai and hates being in it every second until he has to go there for help. Until he finally accepts the fact that he didn't want to just be the worlds #1 star. He wanted to help people too.

Tsukasa Tenma is a horribly traumatized teenager who won't admit it because the events that traumatized him weren't focused around him. Which is why he's such a good big brother to Saki because on some level he gets it. He understands how the hospital affected her. But he would never admit that if not for the sekai.

It's the spiral of "but they had it worse". Saki was sick she had it worse, her friend group broke up: they had it worse, and on and on and on it goes. Not to even mention the level of pushing people away this guy does. It's kind of fucking insane.

He pushed away Nene, he pushed away Rui, he pushed away Emu. All after pushing his own sister away. Sure he still talked to her but they weren't, close. He built walls so nobody would know and then Hatsune Fucking Miku decided to rip those down.

This is why Tsukasa Tenma is a good character. Maybe this isn't what Sega had in mind when making him but it's what I saw in him.
