hey it's benny from lucasverse again! was wondering about router: did he know about isabella's side of the family? if so, did he ever consider reaching out? what would've happened if he did, and would it have changed his ultimate fate (becoming a merc and/or getting springtrapped) in any way? is there a world in which meera grows up with an "uncle" alex? :|c these possibilities intrigue me...

Sadly he never knew about Isabella's side; Lucian was very careful about making sure no one knew he had any family so Isabella could be kept safe and free to live her life away from himself.

If the two had ever known of each other, before Alex was led down the technology path by Afton'd Lucian, Isabella would certainly have stepped in to mitigate Helena's abuse and provide a safe alternate home for Alex, advocating for him to be able to pick his own future. It's very likely he wouldn't have become a mercenary, not with an aunt like Isabella to give him guidance, support, and a firm foundation to rebuild his self worth (and probably help with his fear of ghosts).

He'd be like a cousin once removed (i think, family trees are still tricky generationally for me to figure out) to Meera, since he's the son of her grand-uncle.

Darwin and family move to Florida

i was so afraid people would find out what i'd done. i'd wash my hands, scrub and scrub and scrub until my skin was raw and bleeding. it didn't get rid of anything, the smell of old blood. i couldn't talk to dad, but why would i want to? all he smelled like was cheap beer and the salt of misery. dad stopped trying when mom stopped breathing. maybe i did too.

1995

i was the first, but i didn't know it. she was the second, but she wanted it. but then he took clara and it made me feel sick to even look at her. i got her food once, and she slipped me a note to take to the cops. i ran away instead. i don't think she's still alive anymore. i hope she isn't. maybe if i'd helped her like she begged me to—but there's no use in regret.

scott wasn't lying. your eyes really do pop out of the mask. the worst part was watching mahogany call corporate with shaking hands, see the burning hate in her eyes as she met with the suits, hollowed-out husks themselves. it was the first time i had to sign anything. backstage smelled like bleach and disinfectant for weeks after.

it was tough calling corporate myself, the first few times. they'd scrub the whole place clean and the missing notice would go up, never to be answered. mike took their deaths hard. i understood. when i found one of them in the suit, saw them twitch, death rattle in their throat, i knew it would hurt mike more to watch them suffer. i did what i had to do. what i learned to do.

2002

I made FuriRosa in a game I play long ago, so I decided to try and make a close enough recreation of BellaRosa. FuriRosa wears Lucian's purple as an accent color, BellaRosa wears it as her flower like Isabella did but her accent color is Digi's cyber-blue.
