Immediately after the opening finishes, Enter Ganju!

We see the bottom half of Bonnie the Boar running through the lab in techno comedy video game music OST.

Urahara turns toward the door--"Hm?"--as the pair yells "Wait!" and stop. The camera stays on Bonnie. "Wait wait wait! You guys date to enter the Soul King Palace" the camera cuts to Ganju, posed epically, eyes closed, hands on her reins "without first obtaining permission from Ganju Shiba," then he opens and has his hands out like that epic martial arts sumo/Gear 4 Luffy pose, "who claims to be the foremost expert on the palace!"

The camera cuts to a wide shot of the rocket and Urahara stuttering "U-uh" in befuddlement.

"The door to the rocket opens, Ichigo saying, "It's Ganju. What are you doing here?"The door to the rocket opens, Ichigo saying, "It's Ganju. What are you doing here?"

The rocket is him, Orihime, Chad, and Yoruichi.

The camera returns to Ichigo looking down at Ganju like "😐", eyes horizontal half-circles.

Ganju continues, "What a stupid question. Do you know who put the Squad 0 Tenchuren up there?"

🍓"It was your sister."

🐗 ":D Exactly!"

"🍓: "It's not you."

Thumb pointing proudly at himself 🐺 "Right, it's definitely not me!"

🍓: "You really don't give up, do you?"

Cut to Ganju. Ichi off-screen continues, "So, what are you here for?"

Points his finger out like HA! 🐺 "What other reason could I have for coming here besides defeating Quincies?"

Cut to a close-up of Ichi staring So Done With This, Ganju still talking off-screen, "I even asked my sister for the Sky Map to the Soul King Palace!"

Through this, Ichi blinked and cocked his head to our right, put on a more neutral expression, swing back to before, closed his eyes in consideration. Then the music stops.

🍓: "Do you truly grasp the situation?" Full-Frontal wide shot of just everybody in the rocket. "Ganju, the battles from now on will be unlike anything you've seen before. It's going to be a dangerous battle."

Cut back to Ganju thumbing himself, shouting "Of course I am aware of that! That's exactly why I want to go!

Cut to Chad "hm," smiling. Then Orihime. Then back to Ichigo, smiling too. "I see."

Then to Urahara, he turns back to the computers. "Alright, let's set off."

Then click to black.

Edit: Later, Ganju says that Kukaku taught him a bunch of stuff about the Soul King Palace, but he doesn't remember most of it.

Ik i said all of those things about Wen Yifan trauma and survival instinct etc and it's understandable and this is so funny to me

because watching 4 episodes of pain, 6 months being gone, and then resolved with the same apologies from the novel that doesn't have the leaving,

something was attempted, possibly for shock factor and extra angst cuz god forbid a story is chill because some audiences will call it boring, and it somehow didn't stick the landing because now it just feels like they slotted an angsty arc....and nothing xD

This episode's intro is everything to me.

1. I'm pretty sure rogues live in a clan-based society, so I would call "all the rogues in the world" a very far stretch. It's probably more like... "all the rogues in the same clan/family as these two."

2. This episode has aged in such a funny way when you remember that, pointedly, Kerubim, Atcham, and Joris do get robbed by rogues. That's a pretty big thing that happens. I know 600 years is a long time, but still. Kinda makes everything funnier.
