Via Flickr:
These wild horses were running towards another group of wild horses just before sunset. As they ran in everyone sniffed and smelled each other and they spent some time before all running off together into the sunset. Taken in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Alberta, Canada -Equus ferus

Przewalski's Horse (equus ferus przewalskii)
taken at the Denver Zoo in Denver, Colorado
status: endangered
Not the greatest picture but it was really exciting to finally get to see some Przewalski's Horses! These are a rare wild horse (the last true wild horse) native to Mongolia. Every one of the 1900 Prezwalski horses alive today is a descendant of the only 14 caught in the wild in the early 1900s. They are now slowly being reintroduced into protected areas in the wild where they once roamed.

Silent Feast
A pony eating quietly and pondering over its future in the local zoo. Photo credit: Eleanor Chua.
The camera was held level with the face of the pony for this shot. Hopefully, this would draw the viewer into the subject’s world.

Mountains and Wild Horses by Georgie Alexon
Via Flickr:
This wild horse mare and her foal were in the Rocky Mountains foothills in Alberta, Canada. -A baby horse is called a foal until it is twelve months old. As with many animal baby names, “foal” is generic and can be used to describe both the male and the female youngster -Equus ferus
