Been neglecting working out for a while. Tough day back. My #ZombiesRun playlist today was #filmscores. #chariotsoffire and the OG #Rocky score were back to back in the last half. I’m definitely not Rocky and I don’t exactly “feel God’s joy” when I run, like #ericliddell but I do like running from #zombies.

I'm currently reading a book about Eric Liddell, a very inspiring athlete and missionary in China. He won an Olympic gold medal for 400-meter-dash but still said that there is one race that is much more important. And this race has a prize so much more valuable than gold. #Ericliddell #inspiring #runningtherace

"The Greek word for worship is proskuneo, which actually means 'to fall/bow down before.' Worship isn’t just singing songs on Sunday, it’s an entire posture we take before God-a response to who God is, not because of his provision, but because his character is infinitely worthy of praise. 1 Chronicles 16:25 says 'For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise." . . . I've always loved the idea of worship being so much more than attending Sunday services. The more I've grown in my faith, the more I've come to realize that worship is so much more a lifestyle than a singular action. We can always worship God, even when we step outside the walls of the church: we can worship Him when we go to work or school, we can worship Him in the conversations we have with our friends/family/coworkers, we can even worship Him in the most mundane, ordinary tasks of our everyday lives. . . . Worship isn't in the voices or the instruments God hears, but in the hearts that are oriented towards giving Him the glory and praise He deserves. Worship can come in the form of singing and praying, but it can also be demonstrated in the unique gifts God has given each of us. For me, that gift is dance. For as long as I can remember, dance has been a vital part of my life, the truest way in which I can express myself. As I've grown in my relationship with God, it's also become the greatest, most personal form of worship I can offer up to God. When I dance, I feel as if I'm offering everything that I am and have to God, and that He sees me and delights in me more fully than ever before. The quote that best encapsulates this feeling is said by Eric Liddell in Chariots of Fire (if you haven't seen the movie, DO): "I believe God made me for a purpose, but He also made me fast. And when I run I feel His pleasure." . . This is how I feel when I dance--so full of this heart of worship that I can feel God's pleasure. What about you? What gifts has God given you, that you may worship and praise Him with all of who you are? #worship #worthyofpraise #Hispleasure #chariotsoffire #ericliddell #madeforapurpose #gifted #allweare #lent #40days #day32
