I made a 70-minute long tribute to Escam, ScribbleShrimp’s story about meat.

Despite its unfortunate premature ending, Escam is a story that means so so much to me, and in an attempt to create something just as meaningful, I’ve spent the past few months working on a video essay detailing my thoughts about it, and explaining my deeply personal relationship to this series of TikToks. Whether you used to be a diehard Escam fan, or if you’ve never heard of it at all, I hope you can still appreciate the video nonetheless. It is called Escam: A Eulogy, and it is out now.

What I think the escam characters favourite Halloween costumes would be:

Mallory - It's mentioned that she was really poor as a child, so she probably didn't have much for a costume. She would've gone as a ghost

Neil - A clown. This one is unexplainable, but I just know he would've dressed as a clown.

Efron - 100% didn't celebrate Halloween because it's "the devil's holiday." If he did celebrate Halloween though, he 100% would've gone as a cat.

i love neil from escam as a character but its hilarious to think that he would hate me SO MUCH. genderfluid teen who is accepted by their peers??? absolutely not. he would kick my ass and then have a mental breakdown about it. :/

So. Escam. I was super into it for a while. I’m not gonna comment on the controversies. I am, however, going to comment on how it affected me. I started reading it around the time my ex zucchini left me, and I started to project the relationship onto the series. To preface this I am not a trans-med nor do i dislike neopronouns. I related to Neil. The way I started tiny arguments over nothing. I projected my ex zucchini onto Efron. And I began to think that I could not be healed. Escam caused me to think that I had no hope. It messed with my brain in so many ways. I in no way blame Shrimp for what happened. It wasn’t his fault that I projected a vent series into my already unstable mindset.

Fun fact: every interlude in my video was written in such a way that it would be able to function as a regular Escam episode.
