Coming soon: Irrevocably Gone - My Christmas Special fic

She hated him because he had found it so easy to give her up. She hated him because he was right now somewhere being happy with the woman he had loved for ten years. But most of all she hated Sidney Parker because he had taught her how to love him but not how to shut him out of her heart when her love became an inconvenience to be cast aside and retold through the years as an amusing anecdote to his high society, dandy friends.

I am so excited to announce that after a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears, my Christmas Special fanfic is almost ready to be put out into the world.

It’s a 5 part Sidlotte extravaganza that has gained a whole different significance for me since the announcement of the cancelation.

I will start posting this on the 20th of December (this Friday) and will update every day, culminating with the finale on the 25th.

I would like to take this moment to thank @and-holly-goes-lightly for beta reading this and for coming up with the title of the fic. It’s from Jane Austen’s Lady Susan and it’s pretty much perfect for this piece.

Also a special thank you to the people who contributed fan placements, namely: @and-holly-goes-lightly , @kitten1618x , @ladysusanknowsstuff  and @sweetrupturedlight . I will signal every fan placement as we get to it during the updates.

THAT SEASON FINALE WAS A FUCKING JOKE. I have been hyped up for this show before it was even released and all through those 8 weeks I haven't accepted any criticism because I fully expected a lighthearted happy ending but no. Andrew Davies has cheated, hoodwinked and swindled me and I cannot believe I spent my ENTIRE FUCKING WEEK looking forward to this finale after all that chemistry in the 7th episode. I am completely heartbroken and I feel such an obliterating sense of disappointment that I have never felt before, I am literally bawling my eyes out. That ending made no sense and there were so may loose ends, what happens to Georgiana, is Lady Susan going to get involved. How is it that Charlottle doesn't end up with either Sidney or Stringer. How can this Sidney x Charlotte pairing be the focus of the entire show and not be endgame. I know for a FACT that JANE AUSTEN WOULD NOT HAVE WANTED THIS!!! Literally that ending undermined any happiness I felt in the previous episodes and I just feel so empty right now. There better be an extra surprise episode or another fucking season because if that was the real end end, I REFUSE to accept it and will not be satisfied with anything less than Sidney and Charlotte's wedding as the true show finale. On a sidenote, I am very glad that Esther and Babbington are finally together and happy but I cannot enjoy it after that ending. Andrew Davies did us DIRTY!

Fantheory Baesther

Okay so enough of the Charlotte/Sidney Elizabeth/Darcy parallels.

How about Edward= Obsessed-with-money Willoughby who is cut off by his aunt Esther= Marianne falling for a bad boy, reflecting all her hopes and dreams on an immature boy who can’t commit and having her heart broken Babington= Col. Brandon(their name even starts with the same letter!) a slightly older gentle man who’s happy to love her from afar and tries to make her happy again without hoping to get something in return

There’s even a little Miss Steele in this one! Poor innocent Clara, secretly having something with Edward (Ferrars hehe) while trying to act like a friend to Esther.

And Esther will end up just as rich and happy as Marianne of course <3

What I want in episode 8

I would really love a scene between Sidney and Lord Babbington where they both realize they are in love with these two strong women and then at the ball they try to help one another get some alone time with Charlotte and Esther! Best wing men ever 😉
