Y/n paced back and forth in her dressing room, her nerves taking up her complete body. It was her first show in broadway. She knew they were going to be critics watching her every move. It was different from anything she had ever done before. Yes, she had acted and she did musical theater when she was in highschool but this was something completely different. This wasn’t a school production, this was an actual professional thing that could affect her career. She stopped in front of her dressing room mirror forcing a smile. It was her opening night and sadly none of her close friends were able to show up, different countries or schedules made it hard for them to show up, which she completely understood. But maybe a familiar face in the crowd could ease her nerves. A soft knock on the door stopped her train of thought. She quickly turned her head toward the door watching the assistant manager peak her head through. 

“Hi Y/n! Sorry for interrupting, You have a visitor that wanted to see you before the show started. Since you didn’t specifically put anyone in your visitor list, I wanted to see if it was okay.” She said quickly, knowing her duties she had a lot of things on her plate and the thing she least needed to worry about was about her visitors. Y/n quickly shook her head, not even asking who the “surprise visitor" was to cut their conversation short. She quickly left and a few seconds later a familiar face smiled shyly your way. Your eyes wandered over his body failing on the red flowers he was gripping tightly. 

“Oscar, what are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be in Australia?” She asked furrowing her eyebrows confused as she didn’t want to get closer to him afraid that he was an act of her imagination. 

“I couldn’t miss your special day, Y/n. I know we aren’t together anymore but you were always by my side in my important days. Even my less important ones. I wanted to support you, I know how important this is for you. So I wanted to see you on your first ever broadway show but if you want, I can leave.” Oscar replied while extending the flowers as you pulled him closely into a bone crushing hug.

Hello & also - goodbye!

This is a formal post to mark this account as an archive - aka I’m just gonna be logging out & not deleting it for sentimentality reasons (also technically my main and other sides, granted they’re all tied together)

Thank you all for the support, there have been a lot of times in these past 7 years where I wouldn’t have been nearly as safe if it wasn’t for yalls help. Doing commissions & getting donos ocassionally through this account has saved me on multiple occasions; ranging from homelessness, feeding my cats, textbook/college tuition, and other situations I don’t know how I would have fared in if I had no income at the time. I seriously can’t explain how much this blog and all of you meant for me during such a painful & dangerous period of my life.

If for whatever reason you would like to get in contact; be it for commissions or anything else - my old art insta @CartoonyEyes will be the only way to reach me after tomorrow.

More context for my leaving below for the sake of getting it off my chest, but content warning for general mentions of abuse.

When I first made this account in highschool, I was going through some pretty horrific abuse at home, and I wasn’t ever really in a good state of mind during its prime. This blog was a form of escapism that made me feel seen, appreciated, and happy at a time in my life where I wasn’t getting that anywhere else. Because of that & my general naivety due to active grooming at the time, I also made a lot of ignorant shitty decisions, and had a lot of wild overreactions on here. Unfortunately, every post has a memory behind it, and despite the fact that I’ve done my best to scrub this blog of those old behaviors and posts- I still know at one point they existed. I can’t expect myself to comb through 7+ years of untagged posts, but I also don’t want to lose everything I posted here - it was such an important moment in my life. I have since left the shitty home situation, and I’m in MUCH better circumstances and spirits these days - but I still find myself not wanting to post because I’m anxious of possibly having some cringe ass behavior brought back up from a time where I should have known better, but didn’t.

That all being said, I will be remaking a new tumblr and a new side minecraft blog - I just won’t be directly associating it back to this account. Fresh slate kinda thing, even though there’s really no such thing on the internet. It’s just a little more distance between me and a period of my life I’d rather not have reminding of every time I look at my notifications. If you notice a new blog might be me? No u don’t!

I truly hope the rumors of tumblr selling its user's artwork and other images to midjourney aren't real, because I am extremely tired of having to uproot and move around on the internet and still haven't fully recovered from the old dA-to-tumblr exodus... But juuuust in case a deal like that does go through, I'mma just leave this linktree post here. Just, y'know, for reasons.

The worst part is, you can't even delete or go back and edit your posts to opt out if this happens, because reblogs are unaffected. If anyone has ever reblogged your work there will be no way to opt out of this unless we can get a class action suit for tumblr going, or I guess report our own artwork and hope they nuke it themselves.

You stretched and yawned as your fingers hit the headboard above. You felt the small ache in between your legs first. Then your thighs. And then finally, your throat. You screamed so much last night. The rough breathing and panting for sure didn’t help the dry scratchy feeling you had in your throat right now.

But you didn’t care. The memory of last night made you smile. You wondered why you two didn’t do it sooner. Oh that’s right. Because Bucky was your best friend since kindergarten, and you didn’t want to ruin the friendship and make it awkward.

But last night made you realize something. After every broken heart, after every sleazebag that entered your life and made you cry for two weeks straight, there was always Bucky. He came to you last night at two in the morning after you had called him crying.

“Buck?” you sniveled over the phone.

“Darlin’ this better be worth it or I’ll have to punish you at the gym later.” He had that deep groggy voice after just being woken up.

“Bucky…” you tried again, your breath hitching. You instantly heard the rustle of his sheets.

“What’s the matter? What happened?” his voice immediately changed. He became alert and laced with concern.

“I broke up with him! I found his other Insta, and he’s been…he’s been…”

“Are you home?” He interrupted. And you heard the roar of his bike come to life.

“Yes.”

“Stay there I’m on my way.”

“Buck, it’s two in the morning.”

“Just get the ice cream out so it’ll be manageable by the time I get there ok?”

“Ok,” you said wiping your nose. The first thing he did when he walked in was hug you. He let you cry into his shirt for a good fifteen minutes before you both sat down on the floor with a pint of cookies and cream in between you.

You spent the next hour going through your phone, deleting all the pictures you had with the cheating liar.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Why are you deleting that one?” he asked pointing to a picture of you at the county fair. You had a big smile on, and your arms stretched out looking at the sun.

“I look horrible here, I forgot I had taken it.” Before you could hit ‘delete,’ Bucky took the phone from your hands. “Hey! What are you doing?”

“I’m sending it to myself before you delete it from history forever.”

“Oh please, it looks stupid.” You tried to grab the phone back from him, but he turned to face the other way. “The angles are all off, and I look horrible.” You leaned over him, his back to your chest as he tried to send himself the picture.

“You have never looked horrible a day in your life!” his head turned towards you, and you suddenly noticed how close your faces were. Had Bucky always had such smooth lips? Were his eyes always so dark and deep?

“I know you’re awake.” His voice brought you back to the present. “Don’t pretend like you’re still sleeping.” He snaked his arm over you and pulled you closer to him.

His hair was a mess over your pillows. The bright sunlight filtering through the windows showcased his dimples when he smiled at you. “Hi,” he whispered.

“Hi,” you smiled back as you nuzzled against his neck.

“What are you thinking about?”

“I was thinking about last night.” You giggled.

“Hmm. That it was the best night you’ve ever had, and it was better than you could ever imagined?”

“Have you…imagined it?”

“For a while.”

“How long was awhile?”

“Since high school.” He admitted.

“Why didn’t you say anything?” you asked surprised. Since high school?

“You needed a friend. Not some creep trying to get into your pants. You had plenty of those already.”

“And now, does that make you the creep?”

“Yes. A creep that knows exactly what you want.”

“Oh, and what is that?”

“A cup of coffee with two sugars and cream.” He groaned getting up. He gave you a kiss on your forehead. Then on the lips. “I’ll be back.”

“I’ll be waiting.”
