Badass Bookworm

I think this one fits Marsha well. Marsha is a nerd: she is an avid bookworm and intelligent in a few fields. Excluding all the times she and Rin fight, she is also quiet most of the time. She also has the body of a skinny teenage girl so she's physically unimposing. However, she is also skilled in the usage of dark magic and her demon heritage also made her faster and stronger than you would expect someone physically like her would be as well as her enhanced hearing and smell and the fact that she can see things in the dark like a cat would.

Sonadow is ridiculously overrated and it's something I struggle to find any charm in. It's not a bad ship by any means, and you'd be ridiculous to not at least acknowledge the interactions between them in canon are more than platonic to a degree, but it's definitely not a ship I prefer. I also really don't like SonAmy for the same reasons.

A big problem with these ships for me are the fans. These days Sonadow fans come mostly from the weird wave of annoying TikTokers who only watch clips of the movies and don't actually know anything about the series or characters so they harass people for not liking the ship or sharing the same opinions they do. SonAmy fans are a little better, granted, but there's always this weird sense of entitlement to them. It really turned me off from them under normal circumstances, and it's a part of why I gave Sonic failed/one-sided relationships with both these characters in Timeclipsed.

What do I prefer? Well, I'm kind of a rarepair connoisseur. SonJet, Sonlaxina, Sonyrus... you know, the kinds of ships with zero fans aside from myself.

… What a disgusting place he was sent, though he was not the only one here. Where the other members of his coven were, Maxwell did not know, nor care -- he did his best work alone.

Though someone with his dark and gloomy attire would stick out like a sore thumb, he did his best to blend in regardless. While human beings were here, foul and vile as they were, there were other creatures too...

But they did not matter. It was human beings he was seeking out. If he could find out the areas they frequented most, he and the rest of his coven could make plans to strike and bring the land to its knees just as they had before. If any other creatures got in their way, well... they’d meet the same fate.

It was difficult to hide his disdain for it all, though. The bright, flashy lights that contrasted with the night sky... the practically childish decoration -- he could tell everyone here was giddy. Comfortable. Safe.

Yuck.

They didn’t deserve such luxury. Little lambs frolicking in the fields, that’s what they were. Dumb cows behind a pretty fence they built.

He just needed to pick someone out from the crowd, and... get his bearings.

Get their trust.

Pretend he gave a damn.
