currently reading: on earth we're briefly gorgeous :) i have started this book like three separate times but i always end up getting so busy that i forget to continue reading which is so sad because it's genuinely such an enjoyable read so this time i am determined to finish it

my top first listens of 2022! in no particular order, (with a little statement on each) tagged by @allthingsmustpass1970

ants from up there: black country, new road - one of my favorite projects of the year all eyez on me: 2pac - classic + perfect, great intro to his music and a phenomenal album overall blur: blur - my britpop moment began with this tbh LP!: jpegmafia - listened through it high and felt like i was listening to music for the first time...a few weeks later it made it to my top 6 albums of all time on lastfm  at last!: etta james - most romantic album i’ve heard in a long time...sunday kind of love is a masterpiece madvillainy: MF DOOM, madvillain - a 46 minute experience that left me in awe. jaw on the floor. a perfect, and i mean PERFECT, album illmatic: nas - one of the best rap albums of all time, argued by my friend to be the best album of all time period. illamtic is an immersive experience  a light for attracting attention: the smile - obviously the thom & jonny project has to make it on here. was incredible...even better live which i didn’t think was possible dry: pj harvey - um. just really really good. the end

i've been listening to this so often lately, definitely my favourite off the album :)

a little while ago i listened to this on my headphones while high as fuck and almost started crying because of how happy the guitar made me so I've been trying to chase that feeling by listening to it repeatedly (it almost works)

sometimes i listen to this when i'm upset and get even sadder! really recommend doing this btw

also the noel gallagher cover is soooo <33
