i've talked about it a bunch but i don't think i've ever made a proper post about it on this account. but one of the headcanon's i hold dearest to minjun's characterization is that jiwoon's gaudy yellow jacket in his default skin is actually minjun's jacket. minjun's staple part of his stage persona was his jackets, dazzled in a new one every performance — but the yellow one was a fan favourite that made many appearances in performances and stages alike. it makes the aspect of jiwoon claiming the jacket all the more painful. depending on how you depict jiwoon — this could be like wearing it as a trophy, for outliving minjun and stepping out of his shadow as no spin's leader. for being what he couldn't. or it could be a sense of remembrance, to carry minjun with him, to carry no spin with him despite everything. fans had picked up on it immediately, and it really helped propel his whole sob story to the public. the fans ate it up! there's really no other way about it, they loved jiwoon and how he painted himself as this tragic figure that missed his bandmates so much, and was even honouring them in such a public way. either way, jiwoon wearing his coat gives me brainworms because no matter how much he parades around in it, tailors it to his liking, kills in it — it will always be ill fitting. he could never fill minjun's shoes.
