hearing my mom talk abt my cousins and how she thinks it's sad how the oldest ones still live w their parents is worrying bc like. i have a sinking feeling she'll want me outta the house the second i turn 18 and idk if im ready for that
#ive still got time but like. god it makes me anxious#also to clarify. i say my cousins but i specifically mean this one household which has like 7 of my cousins#technically 6 of them are my first cousins once removed but thats stupid as hell so they're all my cousins#anyways. it just seems weird how bothered my mom is about it.#my cousins have always been a very tight knit family and theres been no pressure for anyone to leave earlier than they want to#3/6 of the kids are legally adults now and a 4th one is gonna turn 18 this year iirc#they all still live at home with their parents and its not seen as a big deal bc they have the space to house them so they're not worried -#- abt everyone moving out#but i hear my mom talking about how its a tragedy that they're still living with their parents and it just feels weird#the most anyone has ever done to try and push someone out of the house was when the family was encouraging the oldest to enroll in -#- college and maybe try out dorm living if that's something they'd be able to deal with#everyone emphasized that the family would still welcome them back into the house if dorm living didn't work out#just. idk. it seems so much healthier than whatever my moms got going on#she didn't live with her parents past the age of 14 because she went from boarding school straight to college so maybe thats why#she's so used to the idea of ditching ur family as soon as possible that i guess its hard to grasp the fact that some families don't mind -#- living together even after the kids turn 18?#idk. its just worrying for me. i don't know if ill be able to be on my feet and ready to leave home the moment i turn 18. ive only just -#- started to scratch the surface of independence bc i was never ALLOWED to be majorly independent before mid 2020#im horribly unprepared for living as an independent adult so i just have to cross my fingers and hope i get it figured out before im 18

A/n: This idea just popped into my head this morning and I needed to write it out, guess who finished in one day instead of focusing on summer school aha ha...so here’s the next edition of Class 1-A quarantine hc’s! I think I’ll include a bit of background for all of these, just for future reference if anyone likes them lmao. Today we have everyone’s favorite nitroglycerin king, Bakugo Katsuki! Hope y’all enjoy cause I’m honestly so soft for this one okay BYE-
Tumblr media
Surprisingly, you’re initially part of the Dekusquad, but you’ve always been close with Kirishima and Mina and feel comfortable hanging out with their group as well so you start gravitating to the Bakusquad
At first, Bakugo is really standoffish because, “You’re seriously friends with that damn nerd Deku” - wow everyone be hating on our cinnamon roll smh
But then he sees how much the rest of Bakusquad likes you and he starts warming up
It starts with small little things like not hogging all the space on the couches in the dorms and having you sit beside him
Then he notices that you’re very forgetful of your jacket and he ends up keeping a spare in his bag just in case the weather gets really bad
“I mistakenly grabbed two this morning, so lighten my load and carry the jacket—I don’t give a shit if you put it on, just hold it will you!”
He’s acts all aggressive whenever he tries to be subtle and someone calls him out on it pffft-
“What the hell are you talking about? You trying to get punched in the face?”
And his feelings are emphasized when the whole class is allowed to use the pool one afternoon and you’re pulling up with Mina and Momo
You’ve got a cute swimsuit and a sun hat on, and King Explosion Murder starts sweating a dangerous amount of nitroglycerin
Bakugo Katsuki has a thing for soft girls who can pull a one-eighty and kick ass no I do not take criticism
The class wants to play chicken and everyone is choosing partners, but in the corner of his eye Bakugo sees you getting cornered by Mineta
You’re usually able to handle the horny tornado but you’re feeling a bit too exposed in a bathing suit and start losing your cool
When I tell you the whole Bakusquad BOLTS to come rescue you-
Mineta is literally launched out of the pool by Sero like a rocket ship in orbit and the rest of the group is in this protective barrier formation around you (yes the squad has protocols for this kind of thing don’t even deny it)
Bakugo is beside you in a second with his hands secured on your waist because no one is coming near you like that when he’s around
“Why don’t you be my partner, yeah?”
And that's the story of how y’all destroyed everyone at chicken with absolutely no mercy and Bakugo finds your competitiveness that entire day attractive as hell
Walking back to the dorms afterwards, he pulls you away from the group and the look he gives you is  s e a r i n g
“For the love of God, go out with me” and he does not have to tell you twice
Literally the entire class is SHOOK because you’re actually pretty mellow and Mr. My Only Vocabulary Word Is Die is...ya know...✨volatile✨
But let’s be honest he’s actually a softie if you’re close enough to him (sorry Deku you’re the exception but we still luv u) and everyone ends up adoring y’all being together
When quarantine rolls around and you both have to live back at your respective houses, everything is decently calm for about two days and then you both start getting bored as hell
Honestly longer than you expected
Bakugo hates social distancing with a passion but he agrees to abide by the rules and ends up asking you to Facetime at least twice a day
His bedroom is actually very tidy ‘cause Bakugo hates clutter, especially when he’s doing schoolwork
I wholeheartedly believe that Bakugo is a beast in the kitchen and y’all can fight me about it because his knife skills are canon and you best believe he learned it to be more independent
He’s been experimenting with new cooking recipes and is a master at making something out of practically nothing in his fridge, which is really handy when a trip to the grocery store is long overdue
He sends you pictures of his dishes and your responses are all praise and none of it’s exaggerated either; this boy can COOK
Netflix Parties with the Bakusquad — the chat gets loaded with Denki and Kiri spamming and Bakugo yelling at them in all caps to shut up
Your lock screen is a picture of the group on Facetime and you all have filters on (somehow you got Bakugo to use one don’t ask how); literal friendship goals
And then it’s been about a whole month since quarantine started and Bakugo wants to come visit you, but his mom shuts that down quicker than Barry Allen in the Speed Force
He’s pissed because he and his family feel perfectly healthy but his mother will not let him leave under any circumstances
So when his parents go to visit some relatives who were more susceptible to the virus and needed help with a couple basic tasks you decide to sneak out to see him (in good health of course)
Imagine his surprise when his typically rule-following girlfriend calls and is already standing in his backyard, bags of groceries in your possession
***
Bakugo shot you an incredulous look as you sat at the kitchen table. “You know I could have just opened the front door for you.”
“Yeah, but going through the window was way more fun,” you defended. “It’s not like I’m very rebellious at any other time, so might as well live it up while I have the courage.”
The blond snorted, sifting through the numerous bags you brought along to his house. They were filled with an assortment of foods: vegetables, meat, rice, sauces and the like.
“What’s all this for?” he inquired, pulling out a bottle of teriyaki sauce.
You couldn’t help the small smile that grew on your face as your boyfriend curiously examined the items. “It’s for you to cook with, duh.”
“And how am I supposed to explain the new abundance of food in the fridge to my parents?”
“Say that I had it sent over through Postmates or something. Even I thought of that, Katsuki.”
He rolled his eyes as he placed down the last bag of items. “I can’t believe you snuck out and brought all this stuff,” he murmured, leaning over to kiss the top of your head. “Thank you, babe.”
A faint blush rises to your cheeks, despite the fact you’ve been dating the first year student for a few months now. Girlfriend or not, verbal thanks from the King Explosion Murder was rare. “You’re welcome.”
Bakugo turned to the stove and started organizing a number of ingredients on the counter beside it, pulling out kitchenware from cabinets as he went.
“Since you’re here and all, I suppose I could make your dumb ass something,” he remarked.
Your eyes practically sparkled with excitement at the offer; you were hoping the blond would make you one of his iconic dishes eventually. A ghost of a grin was present on Bakugo’s face at the cheer that left your mouth, his back facing you as he got started.
You were quick to situate yourself on top of the kitchen counter, Bakugo lifting you by the waist to place you farther away from the flaming stove but still allowing you to watch as he worked. His knife skills were almost scary when chopping up the vegetables, the pace at which he was cutting them astonishing you, and the overall aroma of the space had your mouth watering before he was even close to finishing the meal.
“I feel like a judge on Master Chef,” you giggled, and the boy shook his head at the comment as he eyed a timer he had set for the pork he put on the stove.
“I’m pretty sure my girlfriend of a judge would be a bit biased over the contestants,” he pointed out.
You hummed thoughtfully. “I mean, if he keeps looking this attractive while making food I think my bias is justified.”
He glanced at you perched on the counter top, and took a few steps in your direction, cupping your cheek in one hand to kiss you quickly.
“You’re distracting me,” the first year mumbled, running a thumb over your jaw. “Quit being so cute, dummy.”
You saluted playfully. “Yes, chef.”
He let out a soft laugh before moving back to silence the timer that had started beeping, alerting him that the pork on the stove was ready to go. The blond shooed you away and had you sit at the dining table as he took the skillet and turned off the stove flames.
As you waited patiently for Bakugo to finish up, you sang under your breath and set two spots at the table directly across from each other. By the time he was done, two plates of steaming food in hand, you were already sitting down and twirling a fork between your fingers.
“What did you end up making?” You asked as he set a plate of rice and pork in front of you.
“Tonkatsu,” he replied nonchalantly.
It smelled like absolute heaven, and your hunger was only emphasized in the midst of the fast food you had been surviving off of during quarantine. This boy was even good at presentation, and you began to wonder if he was just talented at everything he tried.
Bakugo took the spot across from you and watched as you took the first bite. He wouldn’t admit it, but he felt a bit nervous that you wouldn’t like what he made. But that thought dissipated as quickly as it came once your fork flew into the meal for a second time, and you shot him a wide-eyed look.
“So good!” you exclaimed with a stuffed face, a few grains of rice falling from your mouth and back onto the plate.
“Don’t speak with your mouth full or you’ll choke, stupid,” he reprimanded, but your praise had an evident effect on the male as a smug smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.
“I expect gourmet lunches from you at least once a week when school starts again.”
“Not a chance in hell that I’m doing extra work in the mornings.”
“I’ll buy you all the ingredients you want~”
“...I’ll think about it.”
Next thing you knew, all the food on your plate was gone, gladly relocated to your stomach. Rounding the table, you wrapped your arms around Bakugo’s shoulders as he also finished eating.
“Thank you for dinner, Katsuki,” you hummed contentedly, resting your chin on his head. “It was seriously masterclass, especially after all the takeout I’ve been eating.”
“Yeah, yeah, you’re welcome,” he waved it off. “I think a movie of my choosing is in order.”
“After we clean up, hot shot. Your mom would kill you if she realized someone was over.”
“Why wouldn’t she kill you too?”
“Please. Your mom loves me.”
The blond barked out a laugh before standing up and holding your waist, ushering you back to the kitchen. “True.”
Cleaning up was quick and easy with the both of you working together, stocking away dishes and remaining groceries. The evening sky, visible through a large window in the living room, glittered with stars as you sidled next to your boyfriend on the couch, the kitchen and dining room returned to its normal prestige.
“Katsuki?” you murmured, voice laced with a touch of contented sleepiness.
He turned his head from the television screen to face you. “Hm?”
“I missed you, silly.”
An arm was thrown around your shoulder and you were pulled closer to the male, who gently kissed your temple.
“I missed you too, dummy.”

❀ Chapter 17: No Way ❀
That wasn't— That— That's not for me, right?
I mean, if it was, he meant as a friend, right? It could be for his mom or something.
Yes. Right.
You nodded in agreement, clearly just trying to convince yourself. You suddenly shook your head before glancing at Sehun's sleeping form.
"Aish." You mumbled, finally getting out of the room and silently closing the door. You got your bag and looked at the clock near the door.
"Oh goodness. It's past 10 already."
You quickly opened the front door and went out to go home.
The journey back home was quiet and fast. There were a few cars on the streets but you can only count the people you passed by on your way. You sighed in exhaustion and relief as you finally saw the familiar gates of your dorm.
You were expecting Kai to open the gates and welcome you home but he wasn't there.
With your lower lip jutted out, you climbed up the gates and jumped down as you reached on the middle step. You took out your key for the front door and opened it. You smiled as you close the door and got ready to run to your room—
"It's quarter to 11 now. Where were you?"
You stopped on your tracks and slowly turned to the awfully familiar voice.
Kai was calmly sitting on the couch with his legs apart and arms crossed like a boss.
You gulped as you faced him.
Why am I even nervous? It's not like it's his business, right?
With that in mind, you stood up straight and confidently looked back at him but ending up cowering at his intense stare.
"W-Why are you glaring at me?" You asked, finally finding your voice somewhere. Kai didn't even blink at your question.
"Why are you trying you change the topic? How about you give me a reasonable answer to my question earlier?"
You looked away, biting your lip in frustration.
"I-I was just at a friend's apartment..." You mumbled quietly, even barely to be heard, but Kai's hearing was sensitive.
"Sehun's?"
Your eyes widened, totally giving you away by your reaction. Kai scoffed.
How-How did he know that? Did he stalk me?!
"What in hell did you do there?" Even though he looks like he's mad, he asked you with his calm voice.
"H-He was sick. I figured he has no one to take care of him—"
"Are you really his friend or a nanny? Why does he need someone to take care of him? Isn't he a 23 year old boy now?" Kai argued, cutting your explanation off. You were getting annoyed by Kai's childish reasons.
"We're only friends, Kai. If you weren't informed, friends take care of each other whatever the circumstances are. Sehun might be a grown up man now but sometimes a person can rely on someone when they can't help themselves. He's just living by himself—"
"That's the point! Sehun's living by himself, that's why you shouldn't have gone there alone. You should've asked me to come with you or anyone!"
"You're the only one who thinks like that, Kai. Don't you trust your own best friend? I haven't known him as long as you have but I know Sehun won't do anything bad. Sehun's my friend too." You said, inwardly calming your raging self. You saw Kai stand up and walk towards you.
He looked deep into your eyes like he's trying to find something in them.
"Sehun's a friend to you..." He trailed off, not taking his eyes off you.
"But do you think you he only sees you as a friend?"
You don't know why but what Kai said hit you so much that it hurts.
Kai sighed at your expression.
You were looking down, deep in thought as you doubt Sehun's perspective of you.
That's impossible, right?
"Okay. Never mind that. Just go to sleep now. I know you're tired, babe. I'm sorry." Kai said before kissing your forehead for a while, claiming your hand with his and leading you upstairs to your room.
Why would Kai say that?
Sehun doesn't like me that way, right?
There's no way Sehun would see me as anything other than a sister or a friend.
Right?

"EH?!"
You groaned as Tiffany whined.
"Seriously?! Nothing happened last night?! He only scolded you and that's all?!" Tiffany exclaimed incredulously. You looked at her.
"What did you expect, unnie?"
"I thought he would say..."
"Why did you even go to another man's house? You're mine now, right? I don't really like sharing my property, especially you."
"What..." You glared at her. Tiffany just shrugged with a frown.
"Hey, I'm just a girl with my own creative mind. I can imagine him saying that. He's hot anyway." Tiffany casually said as she flipped the café's sign to 'open'.
"That was not appropriate, unnie."
"Oh sorry. It's just he still doesn't have a girlfriend and he's hot and he's single because he still doesn't have a girlfriend."
"You're obviously emphasizing that he's single." You sighed, touching the screen in front of you as you entered your ID number. You're the cashier for the day.
"Really? Didn't notice."
"Hey, guys." Joohyuk entered, his hair still wet from shower. You just nodded and focused on your work. He frowned.
"Yo, Hyuk." Tiffany greeted, standing beside you. "Why're you late again?"
"Nam Joohyuk late again." Jongdae suddenly appeared out of nowhere with a folder on his hand. Joohyuk grinned sheepishly as he greeted the manager.
"Sorry. I was just finishing up the requirements for my documents." Joohyuk explained as he bowed at Jongdae.
"Oh. You're going to Singapore to study, right?" Jongdae asked, nodding at him.
"Yes, sir. I'll be passing my requirements this afternoon that's why I checked everything this morning. I'm sorry."
"It's fine. I hope everything goes well for you." Jongdae smiled before going back to his office.
Yup. You read it right.
Your best friend for years, Nam Joohyuk, will be flying to Singapore next month to study more. Joohyuk has actually planned this already when you two were still in college.
"Too bad, Lin can't come with me." Joohyuk said with a sad smile. You looked at him with a grin.
"I know you can't live without me but you can do it. I know you can. It's your dream, right?"
You actually planned it with him in college, that you two will go abroad to study more about your chosen courses. Joohyuk with Engineering while you with Medicine. You really wanted to come with him before but now, a lot has changed.
You're still gonna attend your father's wedding next month too.
And there are a lot of people you're afraid to leave behind.
Not that Joohyuk wouldn't be sad to leave you and Tiffany or his mom. You understand that it's his dream not only for himself but for his family too.
But you...
Are you even dreaming?
You took Medicine in college but you stopped reaching out.
You stopped walking forward and chose to stay where you stopped at.
Joohyuk is passionate about achieving his dreams. He'll do whatever it takes to reach it even though it took him a lot of time to earn money for that. He's dreaming higher every time but continuously taking steps towards his goal.
You're totally different from him.
"What about your mom though? Who will be with her?" Tiffany asked, seeing how spaced out you are.
"Uhm." Joohyuk glanced at your blank face. "She'll be staying at her sister's house. I know they'll take care of her. I already explained to her everything she needs to know."
"When are you gonna come back her though? Maybe you'll be an engineer already!" Tiffany exclaimed as she pouted.
"I'll visit when I have free time. Noona, that'll be too far from the present!" Joohyuk whined as he went to the locker room. Tiffany just snickered at him and turned to you.
"You okay?"
You slowly nodded.
"Yeah. I am."
"You want to be a doctor, right?"
You smiled at her.
"Yeah, I did." You replied, looking back at the screen in front of you. Tiffany just observed you.
"You still do." She stated with certainty. You blinked. "I can see it. You just don't belong being behind the counters, dear. You deserve more. And you can do so much more than this."
You closed your eyes as if you're in pain, trying to keep the tears in.
"I already stopped, unnie. There's no point continuing it."
"Bullshit." Tiffany mumbled, rolling her eyes.
Sometimes she's adorable, sometimes she's a bitch.
"It's never too late, Lin! You're smart, reliable, responsible, caring and all of the synonyms you can get from those words! You can't just give up just because you stopped. I'm sure your dad will approve when you tell him what you want." Tiffany exclaimed as if it was her problem. You frowned.
"I don't think so."
"Just think about it. You won't lose anything."
"Unnie. I don't want to leave anyone. Not you, not Taeyong, not even my dad, not aunt Sunny nor even the tenants in our dorm, not this café." You said, bowing at the first customer for this morning.
You smiled at the customer as she started telling her order.
"Leaving doesn't mean you'll never come back. It's for your future anyway, I'm sure everyone will want the best for you. Think about yourself this time, Lin. It's not all about others every time."
You ignored what Tiffany said but her words kept ringing in your head.
"Think about yourself this time, Lin."
You shook your head and focused on working.
No. I'm fine here. I'm not leaving.
♫ ❧ ♫ ❧ ♫ ❧ ♫ ❧ ♫
"Are you excited for the dinner this Friday, noona?"
You rolled your eyes at your brother's excited tone.
"No, I'm not."
"But your little bro is! You'll finally meet Aunt Ji Hyo~"
"Whatever. How's school?" You averted the topic as you eat your potato chips while taking out an old notebook.
"School was fun, noona. We're discussing Trigonometry this quarter in Math! Isn't that cool?!"
"I think you're the only one who finds Trigonometry cool, dongsaeng." You said as you opened the notebook in your hand. Reading the first page, the words were written in a creative way, occupying the whole page with designs on every corner.
What I Want To Do List:
"Ey. That's a bummer, noona. Anyway, how's it going there?"
"Joohyuk's gonna go to Singapore to study next month and he'll leave a week before the wedding. Everything aside from that is the same here." You said as you went to the next page, it has drawings on it. An airplane with 3 people peaking at the windows and a huge globe below it.
1) Travel the world with Joohyuk and Tiffany unnie. <3
"Really? That's good for him then! Too bad he can't go to father's wedding."
"Yeah. Too bad." You whispered as you read the next page. Hearts were everywhere, a drawing of a girl and a boy that was obviously copied from the internet was on the page.
2) Have a boyfriend! Kyahh.
"Are you okay, noona?"
And then after that two pages, only words were there on the next ones.
3) Understand father's decisions.
"Are you still there, noona?
4) Stop crying.
"I'm getting worried now, noona! Answer me please."
5) Just stop it. You won't get anywhere.
Before you knew it, the tears from your eyes started falling on the page.
And then you see something at the end of the page.
It doesn't have a number, indicating it's not on the list but instead...
I'll go abroad with Joohyuk and be successful once I finish studying Medicine! You'll see, appa! I can do it!
A promise to yourself.
"I'm fine, Tae."
You haven't even started dreaming that long but you stopped trying already.

Clé: Miroh (3)
Pairing: Bang Chan x reader ft. Stray kids & Got7
Warnings: Slight profanity
Summary: An up and coming singer is introduced to the rough and unfair world of the music industry when she is tricked into a fake relationship with a popular idol. Her entire world has been turned upside down and now not only is she hated by millions of fans around the world but she is now despised by her...boyfriend?
———————-
Auriella, though seen as a bubbly and happy person, did not live a simple life. When she was born, her birth parents abandoned her at an orphanage with nothing but a raggedy baby blanket and her name written on a note. That's it.
Her life in the orphanage was hell, to say the least. Young Auriella was bullied, mistreated and lonely. The other orphans at the home she was in always felt the need to push her around and belittle her in everything she did. Auriella tried hard to fit in and did all sorts of favors in hopes of being accepted, but to no avail. The mistreatment didn't stop until Auriella was taken out of the orphanage by her record label.
Auriella has been through hell and back yet still woke every morning with a smile on her face. She had her group, who she had worked skin and bone for, be taken away from her, been forced to uproot her entire life and move across the world for a group of people she had never met. Nevermind all of the bullshit she had to endure in her childhood. She was far from selfish and this ignorant stranger, Bang Chan, had no right to sit and assume he knew anything about her.
She tried to be nice and civil but enough was enough. Auriella would not sit back and be treated unfairly by someone she sacrificed so much for. Yes, both Auriella and Chan were forced into this situation but Chan had nothing, absolutely nothing, taken away from him. Okay, he moved from a tiny dorm and into a gigantic mansion, free of charge. So what? No. He didn't get to complain. He didn't get to complain because he still had his group and he still had his parents. From Auriella’s point of view, she picked the short stick of the situation. Yet, he had the right to complain? Hell no.
“I was tricked into signing that contract. I was in a pretty successful group back in the states, but you wouldn't know that, would you?” She looks deep into Bang Chan’s eyes. “We just released an album, that I spent a year writing and perfecting by the way, and the next thing I know I get called into a meeting expecting a conversation about the songs I wrote for the album but you wanna know what I got instead?” Auriella was standing now. He wanted answers? He was about to get them. Loud and clear.
“Pray tell, your majesty, what did little baby Auriella get?” Chan continued to tease her despite the tears of anger and frustration he saw rolling down her face.
“A plane ticket and a letter of termination from my group.” Everyone in the room was shocked to hear the young girl’s blunt response.
“What are you-” Chan began to ask but Auirella wasn't done.
“That's right. I was pulled out of the group that I started and shoved on a plane. Why? Because your company wanted you to have more publicity to promote your group.” She made sure to maintain eye contact with the leader while she emphasized to ensure he was getting the point.
“You hear anything odd about what I just said, Chan? Because I did.” Auriella made sure to single him out. He was the only one of the members to treat her unfairly. “All of this was done for you, therefore you are the only one to benefit in any way. I lost my group, so you could keep yours. I had to halt my career, so you could get more attention for yours. I had to move to the other side of the fucking world for you! So no, Chan, this isn't my fault, it's yours.” She pointed an accusing finger at the now silent idol, who continued to stare at the spot in front of him.
“I tried to make the best of the situation because at least one of us would benefit somehow. Even if I lost everything, at least you and your group would be better off. Hell, I even bought this house so you could all be more comfortable. I chose not to fight and throw a fit over this situation because I don't want to be selfish and only think of myself. What do you know about that? Being selfless?” She had lowered her voice now, drained and frustrated from the treatment she had received as well as the unnecessary argument.
Some of the members who were still learning english turned to Felix and Jisung for a better translation of what had just occurred. By the time the two boys had finished explaining, Auriella had vanished. The entire dining room fell silent as the shock set in with the new information that was revealed.
“Like I was saying, hyung, she was forced into the situation too, but what do I know, right?” Changbin said looking at his leader in irritation. He had tried to say this earlier but Chan was quick to cut off his words and deem his input as irreverent.
“Changbin-ah-” Chan sighed, disappointed in himself.
“Don't bother.” Changbin pushed out his chair and walked off towards the staircase leading to his room.
Chan messed up. He knew that now. Not only had he misjudged an innocent girl but he also unfairly lost his temper on one of his members and he knew he had to make things better.
Since dinner was clearly over, the remaining members cleared the table and soon excused themselves to their respective rooms. Bang chan stayed behind though and went out to the balcony to get some fresh air. On days when he felt overwhelmed or stressed, he liked to go out alone to think and reevaluate things that were on his mind.
Chan wished he had given Aurilla a chance. All of the things Chan fought for, Auriella had taken from her and it was her fault. He cursed at her, teased and made fun of her while she had been nothing but nice and welcoming to him and his group. She cooked for them and even bought a large house so that they could more comfortable. How did he repay her? By calling her names and blaming her for something he knew nothing about.
“I am such a dick.” Chan muttered to the dark sky, as he looked to the stars.
“Yes, you are.” A soft voice startles him out of his thoughts. “Glad to know that you’re aware.”
“Auriella..” He stands to find the new voice in the darkness.
Coming into the light and closing the sliding door, Auriella signed and sat on one of the many chairs out on the deck. “I get it, Chan. You fight tooth and nail for your group and to make your family proud and you didn't want to risk a stranger messing up any of that for you. I get it.”
“If I knew..I am so sorry, Auriella. I swear, I had no idea that they did all of that to you and your group. You did so much for us and I just..” The disappointment and shame was clear in the boy’s voice.
Auriella stared at him for a moment. He wasn't a bad person, he was afraid and fragile. Auriella knew the music industry all too well and she was aware of the harsh conditions and rules of it as well. Though Korea was an entirely different place, she had heard enough horror stories of the industry on this part of the world to stay away and be cautious. He was just trying to protect himself and his group from the harsh world that was K-pop.
Thought she understood, that didn't give him the right to treat her the way. She had lost too much and sacrificed too much for him and all he could do was judge and assume. He didn't have to like her and she didn't have to like him but they were stuck. Al they had to do was pretend until their companies took pity on them and let them out of their contract.
“How about this,” She suggested with a smile, a faint outline of her dimple making itself clear. “You stay out of my way, and I stay out of yours. We do what JYP wants until this whole thing is over and we leave it at that.” She said, keeping firm eye contact.
Chan was startled to hear that. “I-i dont-.”
“You don't have to like me. You don't have to be my friend. But you don't get to judge me or assume anything about my life because you don't know me.” Without giving the boy a second glance, the small girl walked off back into the house, her footsteps fading into the darkness.

The next morning, sounds of laughter and squeals filled the large kitchen. After Auriella had gone back into the house the night before, Jisung bumped to Auriella and saw she was upset. After staying up most of the night venting and getting to know one another, Jisung and Auriella had gotten close.
“You're gonna burn the bacon, Han!” Auriella giggled as he bumped his hips into hers, pushing her away from her mixing bowl of pancake batter.
“Me? I have no idea what you mean.” Jisung laughed, his Malaysian accent stronger than ever.
The two were oblivious to the nine pairs of eyes watching them from the entrance to the kitchen. The ruckus of pots, pans and laughter had awoken the group of sleeping boys from their slumber. Meeting each other in the hallway and sharing looks of confusion, they followed the sounds down the stairs and soon found their member and the young girl cooking. Together.
After a few moments of watching and whispering to one another, Minho cleared his throat to break apart the giggling pair.
“Uh..good morning?” Hyunjin greeted in english.
“Good morning! How’d you all seep?” Auriella beamed.
“Umm pretty good. I see you two are friendly this morning.” Felix said, eyeing the two cautiously.
Jisung shared a kind smile with the smaller girl and turned back to the stove.
“Jeongin, honey?” Auriella called out sweetly to the young boy. She was going to need some help setting the table for breakfast.
“Noona?” He replied almost instantly, seemingly out of habit.
The room grew quiet. They hadn't gotten a chance to talk about honorifics yet, seeing as Auriella wasn't a korean but would be living in korea from now on.
“I’m sorry?” Auriella looked shocked. Had he just cursed at her in korean?
Jisung laughed at the girls offended expression. “We need to teach you korean as soon as possible.”
As the group sat down eating breakfast, Chan’s phone rang and his tone changed from calm to serious and down to business. Once he hung up, he cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.
“That was JYP, he wants us to meet him at the company.” He announced.
“Us as in..?” Felix asked.
Chan turned to Auriella, looking in her general direction but still not directly at her, “All of us.”
In the car on the way to the company, the boys told Auriella about basic korean expectations when it came to elders. They told her about bowing and taught her a few polite words to use in vase they ran into any other artists that were older than them. They were taken through a back alley way and into a secret door to avoid being seen and photographed. They didn't need to explain a ‘mystery girl’ to their fans just yet, not until the company was ready for them to.
After getting into an elevator and going up a few floors, the group walked into the room they were told to go to and walked in to find JYP sitting behind his desk.
“Welcome come in, come in.” Auriella was surprised to hear english coming from the man.
“Hi! What’s-” The bubbly girl began to say just as the boys behind her bowed and greeted in korean. Whoops.
“Auriella, remember what I said about-” Felix started.
“No, no it's okay. So you must be the famous Auriella. You're very cute.” JYP said smiling down at the small girl.
“Oh, thank you, sir.” The girl blushed and began fiddling with her fingers.
“Aigoo.” The man cooed. “You'll fit right in here. Everyone is going to love you. How are you all getting along? I hope these boys haven't given you any trouble. “He looked back up to the members behind her, raising an eyebrow.
Auriella didn't hesitate. “They've been great! I think we’ll be good friends.” she smiled big.
Chan let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. Even though him and Auriella had talked, barley, he didn't expect her to be so quick to cover his unfair actions towards her.
“I’m glad to hear that!” He exclaimed. “Well, the reason I called you all down her is because I thought you might be a bit more comfortable if you met some more people. Since you're going to be around from now on, I thought it would be nice to introduce you to some other artists here at the company.” He explained.
“Oh, yes! That would be nice. I’m always open to making new friends.” She was excited. If she was going to be stuck in a foreign country, at least she could make new friends and memories.
“Great! A lot of our artists are busy with tours and comebacks at the moment but one of our other groups happen to have a free schedule today and are very excited to meet you.” He said.
“They know me?” She asked shyly.
“Yes, they do and one of the members is your biggest fan, so he's been waiting to meet you.” He confessed with a wink and kind smile.
“Now I cant wait. I love meeting my fans.” She said, feeling giddy.
“Well, come on, they are in one of the practice rooms.”
The group followed JYP down the hall and into a room that had loud music and laughter coming from it. Walking in, there were 7 boys total spread all throughout the room. Some were lying across the floor while some stood against the mirrored wall or in a chair. They all turned their heads towards the door when they walked in.
Jyp said something in Korean to the new group of boys after one of the men turned off the stereo. They all got into a line and bowed to their CEO and the members of Stray Kids did the same to their superior group as well. The tallest member of the group locked eyes with Auriella but quickly looked away when she sent a smile his way.
Auriella, I would like you to meet Got7. They-” The CEO didn't get a chance to finish before an excited male voice squealed.
“Ella!?”
The girl was confused. The only person who called her that was-
“Jack-jack?” The boy in question opened his arms wide towards the small girl as she ran to him and jumped onto him with a loud giggle.
The remaining people in the room were confused at the sudden interaction of the two hugging people.
Felix turned to his leader. “How does she know Jackson sunbaenim?” he whispered.
“I have no clue, mate, but they seem..” Chan paused as they all watched Jackson kisses her forehead and spin her in a circle. “Close?”
Chan didn't know why but he felt his face reddened slightly in envy as Auriella looked up to his sunbae with such a bright smile. She tried to be kind to him and he ruined it. Now she hated him, and it was his fault. She didn't smile at him like that. So bright and happy. How did they know each other? And how were they so close?
Chan had a lot of time to re-think and regret his actions towards Auriella. He tried many times to approach her but each time, she brushed him off coldly. He just wanted to start over. He had unknowingly ruined her life and he wanted to at least try to make that better, but he couldn't do that if she avoided him like the plague.
He wanted to be her friend too. In the short time she was around, he couldn't help but notice is members becoming more and more infatuated with her. Her tiny squeaks when someone would pop up in front of her unexpectedly, how she would turn red in the face when one of the members would keep eye contact a little too long. She was sweet and kind and innocent and she had been handed an unfair battle that she couldn't win; a contract. Bang Chan just wanted to fix the mess he caused. That would be though, considering she wanted nothing to do with him.
“I heard an Auriella was coming but I had no idea it was my little baby! How have you been? Last I heard you were trying to get signed to a record label.” Jackson Wang said as he looked down at the small girl.
“I got signed to one! Ugh so much has happened, you wouldn't believe.” She said with a look. “ Hows mama? And papa? Are doing well?” She started up at Jackson.
“Wait, how do you guys know each other?” JYP asked, his voice full of confusion.
“We met a national tournament. I was on the national fencing team and little Ella here,” He rubbed her head affectionately. “was chosen to sing the national anthem. My family and I were assigned to take care of her while she was in China and she stayed with us and traveled with the team while we competed.” He explained.
“Ah, I see.” The CEO said. “Well, it's nice to see that she already has a friend here. You guys seem close.” He observed.
“You have to meet everyone!” Jacson exclaimed, jumping about. He pulled the small girl by her waist towards his eager group mates and began introducing them to each other.
“Oh, and this is our youngest member, Yugyeom. He’s your biggest fan.” Jackson wiggled his eyebrows as he introduced his two friends.
“I heard you were a fan. I’m so excited to meet you!” Auriella smiled brightly as she held her hand to the taller boy.
“I-it is nice to meet you.” He stuttered, discreetly wiping his right hand on his shirt before shaking the girls petite hand. Yugyeom’s heart sped up the moment their hands touched. The boy had been a fan of her and her group for years, constantly talking about her to his members which led to teasing but he never thought he would ever get the chance to meet her, let alone be signed to the same company.
Jackson saw how flustered his bandmate had become and laughed and put his arm around Auriella once more.
“You can stare at her later, maknae.” He teased before turning to look at the young girl at his side. “You and I have some catching up to do.”
Across the room, the members of Stray kids stared in awe at the unexpected reunion.
“Wow, that's so amazing. It's a small world, huh?” Felix said, amazed.
“Yeah, crazy.” Chan replied, sounding distracted, staring at the group before him but his eyes were distant.
