He released his album in December 2019 and it flopped so so bad (like 1k units sold kind of Bad), no one was expecting it. I was honestly shocked, can't imagine his reaction. It proved how being an ex 1d memeber didn't mean shit for your album charts if not backed by a label that invests in huge promo and playlisting. On top of that, hrries attacked him so bad bc he criticized their fav and used the lyrics for his song (both ways i think if i remmember correctly) to fuel the gp hate towards him for being homophobic. It was a very bad time for him. I remmember he performed at capital FM Jingle Bell the same day as that man and i was like maybe now that he'll talk to him and take pics with him, his fans would lay off (i don't agree with his lyrics/ behavior but he received so much hate i felt bad for him) but guess what? That man ignored his existence and Liam was left trying to pick up the pieces. He posted that man performing. A simple like on that post from that man could've made a difference at the time but of course, he didn't do it and why would he? What's in it for him? They were in a band for 5 years together and maybe friends at one point? Who cares? That betrayal must've been shocking too which makes it extra disappointing to see Liam's choices now. Instead of opting for therapy and focusing on healing, he keeps sucking up to that man (who keeps ignoring his existence) in a futile attempt to have some relevancy back.

It's in a way his own doing. There is no artist-fan boundary here. None at all. In their mind they own him. It is true that he owes everything to his fans, but it is also true that a large section of fans are borderline emotionally abusive towards him.

They are all acting like he already read Maya's book and is being "just another man". It was obvious he would tweet about liam. I don't understand why anybody is surprised/ shocked about it.

I mean i wouldn't say it's his own doing bc i could never put the blame on someone for being a good and grateful fucking person but my god are his fans insufferable 😭. And i say his fans bc i've seen some tweets from louies and i'm like wtf? Louis is not a social activist and he for sure doesn't need to check Liam's ex ig before showing support for his ex-bandmate's music (i mean tbh i don't think he even knows her bc no matter how many give me a ring comments he leaves under liam's post, they're not close at all). I kind of feel bad for Liam bc people started hated on him before the book is even released (i mean hate on him all you want once it is released and it is proved he's abusive or whatever) but louies better stfu and leave Louis out of it.
