Introduction

This blog will go over some automation techniques for Excel, Outlook, and Adobe PDF, specifically as they relate to the credentialing world.

As a disclaimer, I am not a programmer. Many of these techniques were stumbled on by trial and error, and a lot of Googling. I might not be able to break down what all parts of a given VBA or JavaScript code do. If it's not a regular Excel function, I likely did not go into this knowing what the formulas do. I'm also not a teacher and how I'm presenting this information is already broken down into the easiest presentation I can think of. There may be better or more efficient ways to accomplish the things I'll be presenting; I'm simply sharing what has worked for me.

This blog also works on the assumption that the reader has some experience with basic Excel functions already or is willing to do the research on their own to work them out. Similarly, the reader should be familiar with form building on Adobe PDF if they intend to use these techniques to populate Adobe forms, though I will explain some of this in my modules.

I might be able to answer a couple questions, but the expectation is that the reader will do their fair share of stumbling through to figure out how to apply these to their own situation. I will not be answering so many questions that I'm essentially doing the work for someone else. Simply put, this blog is as much work as I'm willing to do for free on the matter. If a lot of assistance is needed, it can be provided on a fee basis, including doing the work in making the template for the client.

Half a moment ago, I was perusing a cursed grimoire that will let me use an obscure language to cast spells and summon half-sentient demons to do my bidding. The title of that grimoire is “Excel VBA Programming for dummies” It’s certainly cursed – anything to do with Excel is, really – and VBA is an obscure language, one that leaves my colleagues with their mouths open whenever I cast spells with it (sorry, I meant “running a macro”). My point is that nobody knows everything about how the modern world works – and more importantly, nobody feels like they know everything. I consider myself a scientist – one of those ivory tower sorcerers who have an idea about what’s underpinning the forces of the universe – but I’m not yet arrogant enough to think I can plan out a marketing strategy. Just like a marketer might have no idea how to design a building, and an architect might now nothing about basic macro economics, etc. etc. In a sense, we’re all wizards to each other. We ask the plumber to fix our toilet, he performs the right rituals, and then the toilet is magically unclogged. Hells, I’ve actually spoken about this concept to a programmer friend of mine, and she said that “magic” is an actual industry term in computer programming: it means whenever you’re using something you don’t understand. (Hence the memorable phrase “we’re using too much magic, dammit!) None of this is particularly new, although I do want one day to explore the plot bunny of “what if computer wizards became actual wizards” one day. But it does make me think. One of the guiding stars of how I act and think is that I can always learn how something works even if I don’t know it at the time1. But for so many people this isn’t the case! So, so many people look at technical things, and just….give up! Why? WHY? HOW? This is something I consciously choose to be offended by: we’re humans, learning things is how we became the dominant lifeform on this planet, and what feels like the majority of the population just...throws that away! Shelly Plus PM: So holst du deine Messdaten in Excel

Wie du die Messdaten in der Shelly Smart Control App exportierst und in Excel visualisierst, habe ich dir bereits in einem letzten Beitrag gezeigt. Hier soll es nun darum gehen, wie du diese Messdaten in Excel abrufen und in einer Tabelle sammeln kannst.

Welchen Vorteil habe ich in Excel?

Das Programm Microsoft Excel bietet die Möglichkeit, mit wenigen Klicks große Daten zu visualisieren. Des Weiteren kannst du mit der Sprache Visual Basic for Applications (kurz VBA) in deiner Excel-Mappe Code erzeugen, welcher dir bei bestimmten Aufgaben behilflich ist. In unserem Fall möchten wir per HTTP Request & Response die Daten auslesen und in eine Tabelle schreiben. Dazu benötigen wir ein paar Daten, welche wir in einer separaten Tabelle speichern und so unsere Arbeitsmappe dynamisch halten. Aufbauen einer HTTP-Verbindung zum Shelly

Zunächst müssen wir eine HTTP-Verbindung zum Shelly aufbauen. Über diese Verbindung (auch als Request genannt) kannst du Daten abfragen und auch das Relais steuern. Eine ausführliche Dokumentation zum Shelly Plus 1PM findest du unter https://shelly-api-docs.shelly.cloud/gen2. Uns soll besonders der Abschnitt unter https://shelly-api-docs.shelly.cloud/gen2/ComponentsAndServices/Switch#switchgetstatus-example interessieren. Zunächst möchte ich dir erläutern, wie du die Daten per Postman abrufen kannst, denn zunächst muss man ja erstmal herausfinden, wie man sich zum Shelly verbindet. Abrufen der Daten aus Microsoft Excel

Nachdem wir nun herausgefunden haben, wie man die Daten per einfachem HTTP-Request abrufen können, möchten wir einen Schritt weiter gehen und diese nun in Excel anzeigen. Dazu öffnen wir Excel und erzeugen eine neue Arbeitsmappe, welche wir sogleich als *.xlsm speichern. Schritt 1 - erzeugen von zwei Tabellen Für unsere Messdaten und die Verbindungs- und Konfigurationsdaten benötigen wir jeweils eine Tabelle. Diese legen wir an und benennen diese mit "Messdaten" und "Daten". Hier kannst du natürlich auch andere Titel wählen. Schritt 2 - Anlegen der Verweise in VBA & importieren der BAS-Datei zum parsen von JSON Mit der Tastenkombination Alt+F11 wechselt man in die Ansicht VBA und dort müssen wir zunächst zwei zusätzliche Verweise laden und eine BAS-Datei importieren.

Die Verweise sind: - Microsoft Scripting Runtime (für das Objekt Dictionary), sowie - Microsoft XML, v6.0 (für den HTTP Request) Für das spätere Parsen des JSON-Response vom Shelly benötigen wir hier eine zusätzliche BAS-Datei diese können wir uns vom Git Repository VBA-tools/VBA-JSON als ZIP-Datei herunterladen.

Auf der Seite wird auch erläutert wie du diese installierst, das ist jedoch recht einfach, denn du musst hier lediglich im VBA Editor auf Datei > Datei importieren, klicken und dann die Datei "JsonConverter.bas" öffnen.

Du solltest diese Datei dann unter dem Knoten Module finden (siehe Grafik). Hier gibt es einen HTTP-Request welcher einfach den Zustand des Relais togglet d.h. aus dem Zustand "AN" wird "AUS" und umgekehrt. Wählen hier den Eintrag "Menüband anpassen" aus und setzen dann auf der rechten Seite den Haken bei "Entwicklertools".

In dem neuen Reiter Entwicklertools können wir dann aus dem Bereich "ActivX Steuerelemente" die Befehlsschaltfläche wählen und platzieren.

Dieses machen wir für jeweils für die Funktion zum Togglen des Relais, zum lesen der Daten und zum löschen der Messdaten.

I agree that slowly moving away from english is good, I just don't think adding unicode to identifiers and leaving it at that is worth anything, yknow. the mental and physical overhead of switching between scripts every time you encounter a keyword or a standard library function (both when reading and writing code) is jarring enough that no one I know ever bothers to do it. so it ends up being just as you said - either you're already using a european script, or you're stuck writing code mostly in english with occasional transliterated words and only comment it in your language.

So I am very much in favour of making more entirely non-english programming languages (despite their negative reputation) like 易语言, 1С or what have you, but localizing existing languages should be approached with considerably more caution: the localization of Excel has been successful, but also a complete nightmare for anyone who has ever had to change their locale (even most of the punctuation can suddenly change!), and all the efforts to localize VBA just failed miserably.

Also knowing english is still one of the most useful skills to have as a programmer. I don't see a near future where you can dodge learning english without a significant impact on your career. I don't think we're turning over the status quo with this one in general

my take is that programming languages shouldn't be allowing any unicode* in functions and variable names UNLESS there's at least *some* unicode identifiers already in the standard library. use it or lose it type beat. gotta prove your commitment - at least make sure it doesn't collide with any of your tooling or language features in trivial ways man

a.            Qui suis-je ? Je me présente

 - Je m’appelle Fadwa Yasmine, âgée de 21 ans, actuellement étudiante à l’ESC Clermont en Master 1, que j’ai intégrée dans le cadre d’un partenariat de double diplomation entre L’ESC et mon ancienne école, l’ENCG Marrakech.

Je suis parfois très absorbée par l'accomplissement d'une tâche et je me sens trop profondément concernée si nous affichons du retard.  e.            mes centres d’intérêts

 Mes centres d’intérêts  sont la course à pied, la randonnée et la préparation de desserts sains. Parmi ceux-ci, c'est la course à pied que j'aime le plus, surtout les marathons. Le marathon est une discipline stricte qui exige une planification immense, un travail sur le corps et l'alimentation pour obtenir des résultats. J'ai acquis l'habitude de me motiver par ce passe-temps. Il y a au moins 8 à 9 marathons qui ont lieu chaque année dans ma ville, je me prépare donc constamment à y participer et à les terminer tous. Je couvre une distance de 10 kilomètres chaque jour et je mange sainement pour maintenir mon physique. Mon objectif est de participer au triathlon Ironman qui se déroule en Europe. Il me faudra au moins deux ans pour atteindre ce niveau de forme physique, mais je suis enthousiaste à l'idée d'y parvenir. Les marathons me rappellent que je dois me pousser et mettre un pied devant l'autre pour me rapprocher du succès.

2.          Que savais-je faire avant d’intégrer le programme ?

 -Je suis quelqu’un qui a une grande capacité d’apprentissage j’apprends assez vite parce que, ma formation mes stages mes recherche en contrôle de gestion font que je comprenne les différents process du contrôle de gestion notamment les budgets, les clôtures périodique, l’analyse des écarts

- Je maitrise la manipulation de différents outils et progiciels :

SAP & BusinessObjects , Excel, VBA , Bonita BPM (cartographie des processus) ,Microsoft Access (langage SQL), SPSS (tests statistiques)

 b.            Quelles sont mes compétences informelles ?

 Je suis une personne dynamique, à l'aise pour gérer un grand nombre de projets et de tâches simultanément ainsi que les imprévus qui demande une réponse rapide et de la flexibilité.

Je dispose d’une aisance communicationnelle qui me permet de gérer facilement les situations de conflit,  de communiquer sainement avec autrui, être à l’écoute et surtout de créer de nouvelles relations dans le milieu professionnel

 c.            Stages en entreprise avant ma formation

 En 2019 j’ai effectué un stage chez Nestlé Maroc et j’ai collaboré en tant qu’assistante en contrôle de gestion. Nestlé est une multinationale suisse et l'un des principaux acteurs de l'industrie agroalimentaire de la planète. Elle la plus grande entreprise laitière du monde. Elle transforme et commercialise un large éventail de produits et de boissons pour l'alimentation humaine et animale.

De par la nature de mon poste et les missions de ce dernier, j’ai eu l’occasion d’élaborer différents budgets, j’avais sous ma disposition l’outil ERP SAP, et aussi Excel (Tableaux de bords). J’utilisais quotidiennement ces outils pour faciliter la finalisation de mes travaux. De ce fait, au lieu de rechercher manuellement les données liées aux centres concernés, je pouvais extraire tous types de DATA, allant du prix de vente, des couts directs et indirects etc. Les budgets auxquels j’ai pris part sont les :

-          Budget de production

-          Budget des ventes

-          Budget des frais commerciaux

 Ma mission s’est surtout focalisé sur la détermination des objectifs de CA (mensuels et trimestriels  par produit et par client:

 Au cours de cette mission, et étant en contact direct avec les services de ventes, j’ai pu travailler sur la présentation détaillée, en prenant en considération les indicateurs financiers des autres périodes et des circonstances macro-économiques, de chiffre d’affaires prévisionnels.

Pour cela, j’ai procédé à une analyse du chiffre d’affaires réparties :

·                    Par région.

·                    Par segments de marché.

·                    Par canaux de distributions.

  En 2018 j’ai effectué un stage chez Marjane Holding pour une durée de 3mois en tant qu’assistante en contrôle de gestion.

Marjane est un groupe marocain du secteur de la grande distribution.La société-mère, Marjane Holding, se divise en trois enseignes : Marjane, Electroplanet et Acima.

J’ai eu l’occasion de participer à l’élaboration des tableaux de bords prospectifs qui traitait l’ensemble des dimensions de l’entreprise sans se limiter aux aspects financiers, son objectif était de de passer de la définition de la stratégie, au pilotage de la mise en œuvre concrète en passant par la définition, suivant quatre axes (finance, client, processus, apprentissage).

 Ainsi , avec l’assistance de mon équipe,  je me chargeais de définir les objectifs stratégiques, avec les indicateurs et les cibles et également les responsables qui devaient faire les mesures, je faisais intervenir les managers des divisions englobées dans le périmètre d’études pour partager leurs idées concernant ce qu’il faut mettre en œuvre pour réussir le tableau de bord prospectif.

 J’ai aussi assuré le suivi d’indicateurs chiffrés en relation avec les activités de l’entreprise, à savoir en termes de ventes, coûts et marges.

 Au cours de mes derniers stages, j’ai apprécié surtout l’ambiance de travail au sein de l’entreprise. Ces stages m’ont permis de participer concrètement à leurs enjeux à travers des missions variées comme celle de l’élaboration des budgets que j’ai particulièrement appréciés, ce qui m’a permis d’apprendre d’avantage sur le métier d’un contrôleur de gestion.

J’ai appris à travailler en équipe, j’ai aussi développé mon sens du contact en ce qui concerne les relations professionnelles.

J’aurai bien aimé qu’il soit une journée d’intégration pour les nouveaux stagiaires, pour connaître mieux les collaborateurs de différents départements, leurs missions, ainsi leurs parcours professionnels. Mais malheureusement ce n’était pas le cas, j’ai dû alors faire preuve d’adaptation.

 En 2018, j’ai eu l’opportunité d’être en charge de l’organisation d’un salon régional de coopératives. Ce dernier est un projet pour but socio-économique, qui entre dans le cadre de la matière action associative et qui a pour but de réaliser un projet humanitaire et social visant la consolidation du rôle que joue la société civile dans le développement de la société marocaine. Ce projet qui a permis aux coopératives de la région Marrakech-Safi de bénéficier des 3 volets sur lesquels il porte. L’idée de travailler sur 3 volets vient des besoins des coopératives marocaines pour se lancer dans leurs secteurs d’activité, et par conséquent d'améliorer leurs revenus, leur performance économique et celle de notre pays. Ce projet avait pour but d’aider un ensemble de coopératives et d’améliorer leurs techniques de ventes, et qui visait à :

-FORMER: Développer leurs compétences en marketing, comptabilité...

-DEVELOPPER: Organisation d'un salon-expo de 5 jours au centre-ville de Marrakech

-SOUTENIR: Création d'un site au profit de ces collectivités comme moyen de commercialisation et de publicité

 3.          Quel métier vise-je ?

 Dans cinq ans je me vois entamer une carrière dans une entreprise où je peux évoluer et relever de nouveaux défis au fil du temps en tant que contrôleuse de gestion , je réaliserai donc mon projet professionnel et j’aurai la possibilité d’appliquer tout ce que j’ai acquis pendant les dernières années en terme de connaissances et de compétences. Mais le plus important  est de devenir manager ou chef d’équipe afin  d’effectuer des missions et contribuer à plusieurs projet au sein d’une organisation dans laquelle je peux bâtir une carrière.

 Je m’appelle EL ALJA Lamya, j’ai 21 ans, je suis actuellement en MGE2 à L’école Supérieur de Commerce de Clermont ( ESC Clermont ) que j’ai intégré grâce à un programme de double diplôme avec l’Ecole Nationale de Commerce et de Gestion d’El-Jadida ( ENCGJ). Traits de caractère : 3 points forts, 3 points à améliorer

Pour ce qui es points forts, je suis :

-      Organisé et réactive : Lorsque j’ai un travail, j’arrive assez facilement à établir une liste des priorités a fin d’éviter les retards

-      Polyvalente : J’aime beaucoup découvrir des choses nouvelles et diversifier mon horizon.

-      Ouverture d’esprit : Grace aux années d’étude dans deux pays différents ce qui m’aide à avoir le contact facile.

3 points à améliorer :

        -Calme : je suis parfois trop calme que cela peut créer un sentiment d’incrédulité chez l’autrui.

        -Impatiente : J’aime voir le fruit de mes efforts, parfois un peu très tôt.

        - Méfiante : Je fais très attentions aux détails que cela peut me poser des problèmes avec des personnes

-L’envie d’évoluer, de tisser des liens avec des personnes de cultures différentes grâce au travail dans un milieu multiculturel peut être pour moi un gros ressort de motivation.

Ainsi, je ne peux nier que l’élément primordiale est l’envie de la réussite en premier lieu, mais également :

    -La volonté de développer de nouvelles compétences.

    -L’envie d’atteindre mes objectifs.

    -La productivité.

Pour ce qui est compétences formelles :

-Esprit d’Analyse :Je m’intéresse généralement à l’analyse des données chiffrés fournies , les calculs et les conclusions basées sur ces données ,raison pour laquelle j’ai choisi le contrôle de gestion qui est principalement basé sur l’action d’analyses les données fournies pas la comptabilité , la finance pour retirer des conclusions .

-Rédaction de rapport : Je m’intéressais également à la rédaction des rapports et des synthèses.

a.    Quelles sont mes compétences informelles ?

-Bénévolat : J’ai toujours aimé aider les personnes en cas de besoin, depuis ma première année à l’ENCG j’ai commencé à intégrer des clubs associatifs permettant de rendre la participation à des évènements humanitaires plus facile et accessible

Stages en entreprise avant ma formation

Avant d’intégrer l’ESC Clermont, j’ai déjà effectué 3 stages :

-Mon premier stage était en comptabilité permettant de développer pratiquement les connaissances théoriques acquises durant ma première année de cours. Ensuite j’ai effectué un stage bancaire comme étant chargé d’affaires pour développer le coté communication, et ainsi comprendre le comportement face à la hiérarchie et bien sûr développer mon esprit d’analyse grâce à des études menées durant la période de stage . Finalement j’ai effectué un stage en Contrôle de Gestion qui m’a permis de se décider et choisir la filière CG grâce à une équipe de personnes motivées et surtout serviables et à l’écoute.

b.    Projets menés en dehors de ma formation

-Activités parascolaires tels que la collecte des fonds pour des personnes en besoin

-Réalisation d’étude de faisabilité d’implantation d’une bibliothèque municipale en utilisant le logiciel SPSS.

-Des études de faisabilité de projets

- Des études de satisfaction (Satisfaction des Jeunes par rapport à L’intérim, cas d’une agence marocaine).

a.    Les objectifs pédagogiques de ma formation : 

-      Pour la MGE2 l’objectif principal est de développer des connaissances différentes (Contrôle de Gestion, Marketing, Méthodologie de la recherche) permettant d’orienter le choix de ma filière et d’assurer également une polyvalence face à ses disciplines. Une formation également ayant comme objectif un Développement personnel et professionnel grâce à des cours d’accompagnement pour la préparation des CV, Lettres de Motivation.

b.    Mes objectifs :

-Approfondir mes connaissances en matière de Comptabilité, Contrôle de Gestion. – Orienter le choix de ma spécialité et du parcours professionnel visé.

 Quel est l’axe sur lequel j’ai :

Le plus progressé :-Développement  Personnel-  Travail en équipe

Le moins progressé

-L’idée  de pouvoir équilibrer entre l’intérêt donné à l’ensemble des disciplines.

Les compétences sur lesquelles je dois progresser sont :

Accepter les avis des autres lors des travails en groupe : On ne peut pas toujours avoir raison. Travailler en groupe pour moi est une notion qui m’est familiale et aimée, mais je ne peux nier que parfois j’ai du mal à accepter les avis négatifs des autres. Je continue mon travail en ayant un sentiment de culpabilité et de tristesse, et pour moi je dois développer ce point pour m’améliorer et surtout pour fournir des travaux de qualité meilleure avec mon groupe de travail quelque soit nos différences. Et pour cela, je commence à travailler de plus en plus en groupe , mais également de mon coté je commence à partager des travaux réalisés par moi avec des collègues/camarades pour avoir leurs avis et améliorer mon travail tout en se basant sur leurs suggestions et recommandations .

1er stage : Poste : ASSISTANTE COMPTABLE Secteur : TOURISTIQUE Rémunération : 0 Type d’entreprise : Agence de voyage Ville : Casablanca, MAROC Ce qui m’a plu : La diversité des taches proposées , l’opportunité d’être en communication avec les fournisseurs et les clients .

Ce qui m’a déplu: Le manque de communication entre els différents collaborateurs spécialement lors de l’implantation d’un nouveau logiciel .

Savoirs: j’ai appris des bases de comptabilité complémentaires aux cours théoriques , et surtout j’ai pu développer mes compétences aussi en communication spécialement avec des personnes de nationalités différentes , ainsi qu’un esprit d’analyse vu la nécessité de proposer des solutions. 

2ème stage : Poste : Chargé d’affaires stagiaire Secteur : Bancaire Durée : 3 mois Rémunération : 0 Type d’entreprise : Banque  Ville : Casablanca, MAROC Ce qui m’a plu : la diversité des tâches, Découverte du secteur bancaire  Ce qui m’a déplu :Le personnel n’est pas toujours à l’écoute du stagiaire pour l’aider 

Savoirs : ´  . Sur le plan relationnel j’ai acquis plusieurs compétences comme le travail en équipe, le sens de communication , le comportement avec les supérieurs hiérarchiques . Ce qui est important pour moi : ´  Ce stage était pour moi nécessaire car Je devais comprendre des bases de finance pour avoir une idée générale qui va me permettre de s’orienter  vers le métier que je voudrais choisir . Comme on le sait un contrôleur de gestion doit être polyvalent , il est intégré dans le process global de l’entreprise .

3ème stage : Poste : ASSISTANTE CONTRÔLEUR DE GESTION Secteur : INDUSTRIEL Rémunération : 0 Type d’entreprise :  ENTREPRISE DE TRAITEMENT  DE L’AIR 

Ville : Casablanca, MAROC Ce qui m’a plu :  L’implication du stagiaire dans le process de production , les explications tout au long du stage du fonctionnement de l’entreprise  Ce qui m’a déplu : Le non partage des données confidentiels t la non implication pleine vue la durée du stage qui était restreinte par rapport au travail demandé Savoirs : J’ai pu développer la réflexion et le sens critique vis-à-vis des outils de gestion dans l’entreprise ainsi que la capacité de proposer des solutions aux problèmes rencontrés ainsi que d’acquérir des qualités rédactionnelles, relationnelles et une compétence technique qui m’ont permis de concevoir et de maitriser les outils d’audit et de contrôle de gestion. plus claire sur la fonctionnalité de ma spécialité Ce qui est important pour moi : Développer mes compétences opérationnelles et relationnelles.

c.    Pour chaque expérience professionnelle réalisée pendant le parcours :

En raison de la situation sanitaire difficile duquel on est passé les derniers mois, la recherche de stage était bien plus compliquée que prévu. De ce fait, je n’ai malheureusement pas pu réaliser mon stage qui a été prévu pour cet été. Tout de même je n’ai pas hesité à développer mes compétences à travers des formations en ligne spécialement en informatique (EXCEL VBA / EXCEL FINANCE ) .

Durant les 3 ans passés j’ai pu passé 3 stages qui ont été pour moi un élément nécessaire de décision par rapport à mon choix de métier, mais qui m’ont surtout aidé à savoir que pour moi , la chose la plus importante pour moi : durant un stage , ou durant l’occupation d’un poste c’est le sentiment d’appartenance et d’utilité , c’est-à-dire que mon responsable me confie des responsabilités permettant de s’impliquer dans le travail , le process de l’entreprise et son fonctionnement .Mais on ne peut nier , que la réalité du marché de travail est parfois loin de ce qu’on imagine , l’application est parfois plus compliqué que la théorie qu’on apprenne à l’école , chose qui nécessite une ambition , courage et sérieux pour apprendre le déroulement de l’ensemble des missions relatives à un poste donné .

-Quel métier vise je ? 

Pour moi, le métier que je voudrais exercer est celui d’un Contrôleur de Gestion, chose qui explique mon parcours ainsi que mon projet professionnel. Ce métier incombe l’esprit d’analyse et repose sur la maitrise des détails et la correction des écarts. Ce qui me passionne concernant ce métier c’est le fait d’être intégrer dans le process global de la société et bien plus que ça, avoir la possibilité d’orienter le décideur et ne pas le laisser indifférent. Ce dernier est passionnant par l’ouverture d’esprit mais aussi l’esprit d’analyse en s’orientant vers la fonction qui permet d’avoir une vision bien définie sur le devenir de l’entreprise .
