I think that Elwin has had a lot of kids that went to Foxfire that he cared deeply about, and i think a good portion of those kids got banished. for every kid that gets banished he buys a stuffed animal to remember them by and those stuffies take up a lot of the space in his stuffie room.

there’s no way all those kids survived, and the reason he’s so protective over his stuffed animals collection is because it’s all he has left of those kids. he can go through all the stuffed animals and name each child they where bought for, but he can’t do it very long without crying.

because all he can think about is all the ways those kids could have died, and he’s angry at the council for banishing them, and most of all he blames himself for not figuring out how to save them, even though that was basically impossible

Did you attend Foxfire? I visited Exilium a few weeks ago. Although not in the soiled state I knew it as, it was still in disarray compared to Foxfire.

Since students are allowed to talk now (seriously why was no communication a thing?) I asked and some of them who grew up in the territories have seen a fair bit of bloodshed. Asking because establishing a healer program there would be cool

Hi Linh!

I did attend Foxfire. It’s really the only schooling institution most noble elves know anything about - save the use of Exilium as a “behavioural disincentive”. There are actually other schools, though!

I haven’t ever been to Exilium, though I’ve heard a reasonable amount about it from you all. I can’t say what I’ve heard impressed me, though I know Councillor Oralie is making strides toward improvement there. I think your suggestion of a healing program is another step in the right direction, and well worth discussion with Oralie!

So, what happens to all the banished elves that are too old to attend Exilium? Or what happens to the banished kids once they graduate from Exillium?

I think that graduated Exillium kids get a chance to reform for their actions. Maybe you get an audience with a council member and can try to convince them that you’ve changed and won’t break any laws again.

But the adults that get banished? Are there just small settlements in the neutral territories where banished elves and their decedents live in modest cabins and/or tents? Do some of them move to the forbidden cities and form lives there before quickly moving when people get suspicious about them not aging?

FEMALE COMMANDER AS AN OPTION IN GFL2 GOT CONFIRMED IN CBT3!

In GFL, even though we had Commander customisation, it never had any effect on the story. Hell, even in Neural Cloud that's the same case (which is really odd, considering the gender choice was there from the beginning of the game and not added in post like in GFL1.) For me it felt like trying to read the story while interpreting the Commander as a woman was almost... headcanonish?

Like, there's just the little things. Translation mistakes using "he" instead of "they" to refer to the Commander on a few occasions, the GFL community on other sites most commonly portraying the Commander as male (from my experience, anyway) and the general treatment the Commander receives from other characters being more in line with one a male character would receive. It honestly felt kinda iffy to me, and like a subtle constant reminder the game and community were telling me: "You're not the target demographic of this game."

It sucked. But now in GFL2, that factor has potentially... sort of gone out the window? Your choice of Commander seems to be visually represented in cutscenes and the like from what I've seen so far from people playing CBT3, as well as being voice acted. This was my biggest hope for GFL2, and I'm just so, SO happy to see it come true.

i just realized the sheer amount of kids at Exilium that would be bearfoot, like depending on how old they where when they where banished, they probably grew out of the shoes they had, even if they didn’t go up in size their shoes wear out within a few years

I sorta view exilium as one of those reform schools for "challenged kids" which someone on the internet is talking about over the top of their makeup look videos as they explain the horrific trauma they went through for three years that their parents had no clue they were signing them up for
