crazy developments happening in my world

So ive been talking to someone i met via grindr (but never got to meet up bc they were busy showing friends around tokyo) and instantly hit it off from shared music tastes. moved on to discord and the more i share things about myself the more they find me cool somehow and it has been a trip? just to have someone this attracted to me?

Last time i had such an experiencewas with someone else and ended up being a horrifying toxic situation detrimental to someone else very important to me and i just realized as i typed this but this is probably one reason why i feel a bit scared about being liked so much ....

but this time it is 100% different and M is if anything in a much, much more vulnerable place so i can tell it comes from a genuine place when they say they like me alot. We both agreed it would be best to actually meet up when we can and see where that takes us in terms of where we want this relationship to go. But typing this i am realizing that i wouldnt be writing this much if i actually didnt care for them.

Soooo pretty much i am just afraid of the idea of commitment/vulnerability/reciprocation with this person but mostly out of the fact i havent been in a meaningful relationship since i was a teenager. but i do definitely want to meet up. dont want to fumble a weird baddie

Tolkien's war experience and trauma were not uncommon. And neither is the way he dealt with it through writing - except in so far as LotR ended up being a foundational text in multiple genres/subgenres going forward, but that's not specifically a WWI thing.
