My hole life work is to find a genuine connection between #TraditionalBodyArts and #postmodern #Bodywork; the connection between #InternalMartialArts (more connected to #meditation and #Mindfulness _The preceptive and the imagetic aspect of any #martialarts ) and #ExternalMartialArts(more connect ed to #ExpressiveMovement phenomenon _ The shape or "Fa"). That's why i started to pratice #HakkaTongLong #DitNgau (aka southern Iron Ox #PrayingMantisKungFu _of the hakka tradition). As would say my teacher Rogério:"50%/50%".Half external martial art;jhalf internal. It's not an easy bodywork to do.I've spent 5 years doing a bodywork proposed by @lumeteatro (which were influenced by #EugenioBarba of @odinteatret ).Very tough. But i thank to this work my #clowndevelopment ,Briguilim. Years latter i encountered a #delsartian bodywork called #ContactImprovisation. It came from #BodyMindCentering, #Taich , #LabanMovementAnalysis and...#Aikido.Just "soft" bodyworks. That one i've praticed for more than 15 years. Well...i've also danced #AfroDance , i've praticed #YiChuan ...but i couldn't mix all these approaches. Dit Ngau is giving me the clues for that. But not without "some cost".As any Traditional Martial Art it demands very much from my body. And , folks, i realised MY SHOLDERS ARE WEAK AF!hehe. So, today i've seen a video of an #AnimalFlow teacher, @francheskafit .She was using a very interesting club swing.I asked her what is it name.It is #SteelMace. I've made a little research about it and there was an article about an ancient hindu art using these clubs. They are called #Gada. After that i remembered Rogerio mentioning swing clubs from Persia (used in #Pahlevani and #zourkhaneh rituals). The name of these clubs are #Mii and the practioners of these rituals make their moves with the sound of #Zarb (a very peculiar Persian Drum). Anyway:i will try to find this Steel Mace .The rotation of it makes makes an integrated connection of ours #AnatomyTrains on our shoulders .(in a very different way of lifting heavy weight ). Circle movements have very holistic tendencies. No mather if it is made on China, Iran, USA or , here, in Brazil. Full video of last week’s story where I was attempting to booty twerk. 😅🍑 Will have to practice that more. 😂 I felt better trying to free flow in this class. I still feel some resistance in letting go completely and just feel into the experience. But I can’t wait to get to the level where I’m able to move in a sexy way and don the sultry stripper ware I’ve been getting. 🤞🏻
