the two funniest things about psychonauts so far. in my humble opinion. (i am three hours into this game). are (1) the scene where a bully says to raz "i heard you were raised in a circus" and you the player goes. haha real original insult buddy. until it is revealed that no actually raz was ACTUALLY FUCKING RAISED IN A CIRCUS. and (2) when you go to agent nein and say "yeah i would like to fight the giant shadow monster lurking in the depths of my psyche" and he, a person who moments prior was basically goading raz into fighting said giant shadow monster, goes "what? no. i cant let you do that? no! thats against so many rules!!! you CANNOT do that!!" while raz is actively running away from him in order to get a gun license

i have NO evidence for this but i think Siffrin is suffering from like. for real serious memory loss. actually i lied i do have evidence for this and its that Sif keeps joking about forgetting things and they seem to joke mostly about things that are real serious problems that he doesnt want to deal with, and also everything else.

honestly I love that queen mikoto foresaw her ENTIRELY PREVENTABLE death via magic or something, took NO steps to prevent it, and also told yukimura "hey btw when I die give my kid the cool sword hidden in the statue. yeah it'll be revealed when I blow up. mhm cool thanks okay I'll just go back to waiting for my eventual demise via exploding sword. thanks." and that's it! that's all she does!!! it's fucking great!!!! I love this game!!!

I'm having so much fun seeing you having so much fun playing and experiencing Psychonauts. The character writing is so good, it's unreal.

it's SOOO much fun!!! fun game!! the fact that I have played so very little of the story and yet every single character introduced so far has grabbed me in some way is really a testament to how strong the writing is. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of it!! yay yay yippee :D :D :D

anyone who has ever played a Lego game knows that the different characters in the game have different skill sets. this is a basic gameplay mechanic and has been true since the day of Lego star wars: the complete saga - you had characters with guns and characters with the force. jango fett has a jet pack and c3po can access control panels. Girls Can Double Jump

this is, of course, no different in Lego Batman Three: Beyond Gotham. Superman can fly. Cyborg has lasers. Robin can double jump. we all know these intrinsic truths.

now, something interesting about this system is that almost every single ability or skill set can be found in multiple different characters. this is on purpose, a facet of the game design - with the amount of characters in Lego games, it would get pretty confusing pretty fast if every one of them had a unique ability. hell, in Lego star wars: Skywalker saga, they started naming the different classes of characters

now, some characters *do* still have unique abilities, though this is usually relegated to villain characters (who are typically only available at the end of the story mode, and are necessary to complete the free play levels 100%) or sometimes the main character - think jack sparrows compass in Lego pirates of the Caribbean.

while Lego Batman Three does have a villain with a unique skill (brainiac) Batman is entirely ordinary. every skill he possesses can be found in at *least* one other character, usually two or more. but there is another character in Lego Batman Three who has a wholly unique skill. do you know who it is?? WOULD YOU CARE TO GUESS??? WHO, IN THE WHOLE DC UNIVERSE, IS SO UNIQUE THAT THERE IS NO OTHER CHARACTER WHO CAN SHARE OR REPLACE THEIR ABILITY???? DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHO THAT IS?????
