 PERSONAL EXPERIENCES

During my juvenile years, I am really engage on playing offline and online games usually alone and sometimes together with my few friends and acquaintances. I spend a lot of time to play games making me to neglect my studies during that time resulting to a not so high yet average remarks in my elementary education. Also my mother usually scold me for being addicted in that particular games.

The main reason why I become attached and engaged to this field of virtual interaction of gaming is my being alone and resemblance of being an introvert that time. I rarely interacts towards my peers (only to the one me and my parent really know and familiar to e.g. neighbors, child of my parent’s friend) and the online games becomes my companion in life. It is the one who makes me feel happiness and joyful despite of being unsocial and victim of bullying. Online gaming established a thought in my perception that no one is an island. It is the one stays at my side together with my unknown internet friends that leverage my sense of forlorn.

As time goes by, I become older and mature. I have overcome my introvert and reclusive personality tends me to have more friends. I have moderated my playing time on online games as I really engage this time on my academic enrichment. The one I really regret and repent this present period is the weakening of my eyes having a blurry vision as a consequence for extreme engagement in online gaming during my childhood days.

Now, I really take care of my physical health especially to my vision, making it healthy and fully functioning by engagement to various physical activities and consumption of healthy foods to not make my condition worsen but to normalize it.

 LESSON AND REALIZATIONS TOWARDS THE SEGMENT

This segment of Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho made mme realize that we sould take care of our health physically and mentally especially in the juvenile period of our life to not do something bad that we’re really no longer resolves in its original state in the mere future such as mild/ severe physical malfunction, lack of profound social life experiences, etc.

Aside from that, the subjects experiences on their journey in online gaming to enlightens our perception, to look at our surrounding, and try to listen to the feedbacks and sermon of the people around us. Were the main intent is to save us from technology domination nor makes us a better person. Not wait to something bad/ crucial occurrence happens on us before we listen to them.

In the brighter side, Eyyou made us realize to not easily gives up our dreams in life but to pursue it despite of social despise (considering the one who have a proficient point on refuting us), to put it in our hearts and be sincere on our goals that will serve as a key in order to reach the summit.

 IMPACT OF THE SEGMENT TO MY PERCEPTION AS WELL AS TO OTHER VIEWERS

Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho’s featured segment on the risks and good outcome of online gaming tends me and other millennials to be more aware, to think holistically before engaging to certain action and activities. Now I have a good time management in relation to my daily routines and scheduled essential activities. I give now a space to the particular things I didn’t engage before that tends me to explore in various field that may improves my obtained skills and potentials.

Singaporean Dota 2 team, Fnatic, witnesses a roster change today as Iceiceice and Eyyou decide to leave. As the contract of Iceiceice expires with Fnatic, he decides not to extend it any further. With his exit, the recently hired Nico ‘Eyyou’ Barcelon also decides to leave the roster.

Iceiceice played for two years with Fnatic. During this time, Fnatic managed to defeat a lot of world-class teams and secure big titles. The organization revealed that during the break, Iceiceice gained interest in playing Dota 2 from another region. Following this news, fans are predicting that the South Asian legend, almost 30 years old now, will be moving overseas once again. Fans are excited for Iceiceice to reveal the new server, the legend wants to play. 

The Singaporean legend might move to the Chinese region. As he had successful works with the Chinese teams like EHOME, Vici Gaming, and Team DK.

A lot of predictions are being made about the reunion of Iceiceice with Jabz. Fnatic released Jabz just one week ago before it confirmed the news of the Singaporean Offlaner as well. The whole community knows how much Iceiceice admires Jabz’s plays. The Singaporean has repeatedly praised the Thai support, Jabz, on his streams. This is not just it, and Iceiceice and Jabz have played together for four years and with three different organizations. Iceiceice has all the chances to settle under the Chinese region. His recent teammate 23Savage also moved to the Chinese squad, VC Gaming. Right now, Iceiceice has an uncertain path, and fans are predicting the possible ways.

As Iceiceice decides to leave Fnatic, the recently hired captain of the team, Eyyou also parted ways with the team. This departure is also done with mutual agreement. Fnatic tried the hard-support captain, Eyyou, for a week. The team entered the recent series of Dota 2, Beyond the Summit Pro Series 3, with a new squad and captain. However, Fnatic came out unlucky and lost all games. Therefore, Fnatic decides to reevaluate the current roster of the team and make the possible and desired changes. 

Changed Roster

Fnatic is now missing two professionals to compete in the tournaments. The captain and the legendary offlaner decide to leave Fnatic. However, both positions have received stand-ins already. The Korean Offlaner, Sangdon ‘Forev’Lee will replace Iceiceice. Forev has already played with Fnatic before. He played as a stand-in with Fnatic in the ESL One Thailand. The team is also lacking the position-five player. To do so, the former Geek Fam player Kenny ‘Xepher’ Deo is joining the team. With both positions in place, Fnatic is now all set to go out and participate again.

Mushi bids farewell from Fnatic.

The legendary Mushi left Fnatic after a series of troubles of finding team members post TI6. Mushi is a legendary player in SEA and probably is the only legendary player that I can think of. We all saw what happened on True Sight episodes when he got Demon and the guys from TnC in their team.

Fist of all, there's a lot of hate coming from Mushi even before he got the Filipinos and Jimmy in Fnatic. However, I think that Mushi is expecting his teammates to play at his level during matches. The reason why he's so hard on his teammates is that he want's them to play at his level even though everybody knows that there are no players in SEA who played at that. Watching the episode in True Sight, Raven and Eyyou have a tremendous respect for him that when they a match, they feel bad at themselves for not satisfying Mushi's expectation. Yes, you can argue that there's a communication issue, but this isn't the first time he played with a Filipino as he had DJ (which is not on Execration) before. SEA players have a lot of respect for Mushi, but it is hard to find a player where he can be in-sync with considering he's at a different level.

I am hoping that I can see Mushi plays again. I heard that he is starting a team and I can't wait to see what else he can offer to SEA Dota scene, and internationally for that matter.

Russian Cup: MegaFon Winter Clash

Tigers punya best Indo nuff said! Post Dota 2 TI Shuffle memang selalu memberikan kejutan tersendiri, kita bisa melihat seorang pemain berganti seragam untuk musim turnamen berikutnya. Banyak sekali hal menarik yang terjadi disetiap region tidak terkecuali SEA, lalu bagaimana peta kekuatan roster baru Dota 2 SEA region! Belakangan ini SEA region mulai menjadi magnet tersendiri untuk para super star pro player Dota 2, di awali dengan Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho yang bergabung bersama TNC, kemudian Eternal Envy, Un1verse serta PieLieDie. Lantas sekarang bagaimana peta kekuatan roster baru Dota 2 SEA region?

1. Fnatic

Roster baru dota 2 SEA region yang akan kita bahas pertama adalah, nama besar Eropa yang secara mengejutkan memindahkan region bermain mereka ke SEA. Dulunya saat masih di gawangi oleh Mushi, Fnatic menjelma seperti monster di SEA region. Memiliki rekor 22 kali tak terkalahkan dalam pertandingan resmi, Fnaticmenjadi yang paling ditakuti. Namun setiap ada awal pasti ada akhir. Tongkat kejayaan yang di estafetkan ke Eternal Envy tidak semanis apa yang sudah Mushi raih. Memiliki anggota paling elit di SEA seperti Eternal Envy, Un1verse, PieLieDie, Abed dan juga DJ Fnatic tidak bisa meraih hasil positif. Melepas tiga pemainnya yaitu Enternal Envy yang disebut-sebut sebagai sumber petaka, Un1verse dan juga PieLieDie Mereka kini membawa tiga nama besar, Thai Pride Jabz, Funny all around player IceIceIce dan satu oppa Korea Pyo No-a alias MP. Dengan squad yang baru ini, Fnatic memang wajib di waspadai oleh para lawan di SEA region. Karena ketiganya merupakan nama besar yang juga pernah mencicipi kerasnya region lain.

2. Mineski

Tim atau roster baru Dota 2 SEA region selanjutnya adalah Pinoy Pride!Kebanggaan rakyat Filipina dan merupakan Powerhouse yang sudah menjadi langganan untuk turnamen kelas premium. The International, Major hingga Minor tournament. Nasib sama juga di alami oleh tim papan atas asal Filipina ini, tiga pemainnya keluar yaitu Jabz, IceIceIce dan juga Ninjaboogie. Namun tidak perlu waktu lama untuk mendapatkan penggantinya. Pemain pengganti yang di miliki juga tidak bisa kita anggap remeh. Satu yang paling membuat kejutan adalah masuknya punggawa raksasa Dota 2 China, yaitu kpii ke dalam squad baru yang di ketuai oleh Mushiini. Selain itu juga kita bisa melihat potongan kejayaan masa lalu Dota 2 Korea melalui Febby. Akan seperti apa laju Pinoy Pride untuk DPC musim 2018-2019 dengan roster barunya ini? Kita nantikan bersama di Kuala Lumpur Major beberapa bulan mendatang!

3. Clutch Gamer

Untuk tim ketiga yang akan kita bahas roster baru nya, mungkin tidak terlalu memiliki gaung jika dibandingkan dengan dua tim yang sudah kita bahas ada nomor satu dan dua. Clutch Gamers memang berisikan superstar Dota 2 SEA dulunya, namun suka tidak suka banyak yang beranggapan, tim berwarna emas dan hitam ini adalah tim kelas dua, bahkan untuk region SEA. Tapi kita akan tetap coba bahas untuk roster baru Dota 2 SEA region dari tim ini. Ditinggalkan nama besar seperti Ahjit yang bergabung bersama Tigers, Gabbi bersama TNC predator dan yol yang pulang kampung ke Rusia bersama Vega. Pengganti dari ketiga pemain ini juga tidak bisa kita anggap remeh, seperti Giorgos “SsaSpartan” Giannakopoulos yang merupakan ex dari Ad Finem yang membuat kejutan beberapa tahun lalu, dengan menjadi runner up Boston Major pada 2017 silam. Lalu ada juga Nikobaby yang merupakan bekas rekan satu tim w33 dan juga YapzOr di Balkan Bears. Namun akankah para pemain pengganti ini setajam saat mereka bersama tim lama mereka? Mengingat SEA region adalah region yang tidak kalah toxic jika dibandingkan dengan CIS dan juga NA.

4. Tigers

“Best duo Indo ada di Tigers!” “Tigers Indo Pride!” itu lah yang sering kita baca atau dengar, apabila melihat tim dengan logo macan ini bertanding. Memiliki squad yang bisa dibilang merupakan grade atau kelas A untuk pemain asli dari SEA, akan sangat besar sekali harapan dari para fans dan juga pecinta Dota 2 khususnya di Indonesia, agar tim yang memiliki dua pemain Indo ini bisa berlaga di panggung dunia. Ini bukan tanpa alasan, Tigers yang sudah melepaskan diri dari management TNC, menunjukan taringnya dengan mengamankan satu slot closed qualifiers untuk Kuala Lumpur Major SEA region, tanpa menelan satu kalipun kekalahan. Meskipun mengawali debut yang kurang menggigit, dengan kalah dari tim yang memiliki rata-rata medal Legends, namun setelah di cermati tim yang mengalahkan Tigers ternyata menggunakan cheat serta script. Jadi kalau berbicara soal mutu dari roster yang sekarang sebenarnya Tigers itu bagus, namun masih belum teruji sepenuhnya karena tim powerhouse atau papan atas seperti Mineski dan juga Fnatic, tidak mengikuti open qualifier untuk memberikan ujian yang sesunggunya kepada tim macan!

5. TNC

Roster baru Dota 2 SEA region selanjutnya yang juga harus kita perhatikan adalah another Pinoy pride! Yaitu TNC Predator. Merupakan saingan terberat dari Mineski dan bisa dibilang el-classico yang di miliki oleh SEA region. TNC yang tidak meraih hasil bagus pada gelaran The International 2018 kemarin, mau tidak mau juga harus melakukan shuffle roster. Dengan mencoret dua nama yang bisa dibilang memberikan sumbangsih besar yaitu Raven dan juga Sam_H. Tapi pengganti dari Raven dan juga Sam_H tidak bisa kalian anggap remeh, keduanya juga merupakan veteran Dota 2 player yang sering malang melintang di SEA region. Gabbi yang menggantikan posisi satu dari Raven, lalu Ninjaboogie yang menempati posisi lima dan membuat Kuku harus mengisi posisi dari Sam_H. Kedua pemain ini sudah tidak asing lagi di telinga para penikmat Dota 2 region pesakitan yaitu SEA. Dengan mutu serta kapasitas yang sebenarnya tidak jauh berbeda, apakah

6. Lotac

Roster baru Dota 2 SEA region yang patut kita perhatikan selanjutnya adalah, Lotac! Tim yang baru terbentuk ini berisikan pemain yang tidak biasa. Para pemain veteran dan senior seperti Ohaiyo dan juga Yamateh dipadukan dengan para darah muda seperti Chyuan, Ravendan juga Eyyou! Kapasitas dari Yamateh dan juga Ohaiyo yang sudah kenyang dengan asam garam skena kompetitif Dota 2, akan menjadi otak yang mematikan dan yang menjadi tukang pukul atau otot untuk mereka berdua adalah para pemain dengan kemampuan bermain yang bisa dibilang di atas rata-rata. Namun tim yang baru terbentuk belum lama ini, langsung menunjukkan kapasitasnya sebagai salah satu calon tim papan atas SEA region.Bersama dengan Tigers, mereka mengamankan satu slot untuk berlaga di closed qualifier dari Kuala Lumpur Major SEA region. Tapi ujian yang sebenarnya dari tim yang diketuai oleh Ohaiyo ini, baru akan dimulai di laga closed qualifier Kuala Lumpur Major. Seperti apa sepak terjang mereka nanti?

7. PG.Barracx

Roster baru Dota 2 SEA region terakhir yang akan kita bahas adalah, roster dari tim dalam negeri. Tim lokal yang kini bisa dibilang merupakan powerhouse dari Dota 2 Indonesia. Squad yang mereka miliki tidak berubah terlalu banyak sebenarnya. Masuknya Ifr1t! merupakan potongan terakhir dari teka-teki puzzle yang tengah dibangun oleh PG.Barracx. Dengan sosok kuat seperti Huppey, Ramz, Spaceman serta Azura dan juga Ifr1t! mereka siap bersaing dengan para tim papan atas lain seperti Fnatic, Mineski, TNC atau Tigers sekalipun. Penampilan cemerlang mereka dibuktikan dengan lolosnya mereka ke CEG Pro Dota 2, yang nanti akan di adakan di Australia pada bulan Desember 2018. Akan seperti apa sepak terjang dari salah satu tim kebanggan Indonesia ini? Terutama dengan masuknya Ifr1t! yang merupakan top ten dari leaderboard MMR SEA Region? Akankah bisa setajam carry dari tim lawan? Biar waktu yang menjawabnya!
