Do you think Lem Billings and JFK were really a couple?

While it's unlikely they would have recorded it if something had happened between the two of them on the trip, JFK doesn't hesitate to write about his many observations and interactions (and attempted interactions) with women basically every other day for two months. It's not a very detailed diary, but the number of times Kennedy mentions "girls" is a reminder that he was always a notorious womanizer. Does that mean he couldn't have been bisexual?
