I went from competing in martial arts in my twenties, retiring , and taking on the journey of quitting my corporate job and pursuing my passion of becoming a passionate coach who creates a fitness transformation coaching service for people who want to get their confidence and their body back. I have been an “All In Guy” when it comes to a lot of things in life. But creating a balance of moderation between enjoying life and its delicious blessings/ foods while working out so I can stay healthy, fit and happy is a daily challenge for me. And I must confess I win most of the times but I also lose and end up feeling guilty. But the key is to not down outfit this. But to actually applaud the times we win, celebrate with treat meals and enjoy the discipline we continue to develop. Life is about balance and not extremism. Some of things I do- 1. I always workout on the day of a treat meal 2. I always workout the next day- even if it’s a walk and some pushups, some squats ...etc... this basically re-sets the pattern for me 3. I always set a treat meal for the weekend- one day/weekend. For example a Saturday afternoon with family, or dinner. 4. And I always am grateful for the treat meal. This is a big one! Once you are grateful the feeling of guilt dissipates and i end up feeling fuller then normal and this sets me up mentally to feel fulfilled. I had to share this while I was coaching a client on FaceTime. He has been doing great with his strength training work and lost body fat but his back was a little too rigid and that effected his squats and his mood. Was doing a great coaching session on FaceTime with a client on our 35 minute home leg day workout and MAN I can feel my legs.
