I promise, I HAVE been drawing almost every day, but I keep forgetting to post. Here's some expressive eyes. Top row is from the side, bottom row is from the front.

I think I prefer using half-moon shapes to represent anger and sadness instead of just straight lines. They seem to have more character like that.

Day 38: Someone you wouldn't feel ashamed of knowing

#daily isabeau #isat #in stars and time #isat fanart #isat isabeau #art #pre-change isabeau #i have thoughts but this was supposed to be a before-bed doodle and now I'm tired #however-#i realized that i kept putting pre-change isa in a really boring outfit #and decided to add some little details to make it look better #also to make pre-change isa look a little more like post-change isa #kind of where he's starting to figure out his style before he changes #also gave him odile shoes because i liked them more than boots in this case #i think this was the real facial expression practice #having to recreate a bunch of negative expressions while keeping them simple and a little different each time #at least until i got tired and rushed the last few

Been thinking a lot about Tobias' identity struggles as a parallel to being mixed/biracial and had to do some sketches about it

#like i definitely get the gnc parallels too #esp as an adult i find Tobias very Gender #but as a young mixed kid who didnt know what queerness was i related a lot #to tobias struggling to “pick a side” between his human/hawk/andalite #and all the accompanying baggage of not being able to fit into any one group comfortably #and trying and failing to accurately code switch etc etc you see this vision #animorphs #fanart #tobias animorphs #also related a lot to the facial expression stuff lol #as someone who uhhhh #definitely spent a long time by the mirror practicing facial expressions as a kid
