I myself find this story amusing -- somewhat a last gasp before a kind of antiseptic quality swept aside such mean-spiritedness, but I assumed they just shelved it for reprinting purposes. But lo and behold -- there it is. And I have to suggest this is a "either reprint it or don't.". The changes for sensitivity reasons and to get away from flimsy politics are more insulting due to its new incoherence.

We begin by finangling with the time-span. There are not a lot of school dances in the Summertime. Certainly not two weeks before the school year.

Betty's suggestion is a little weird and runs a little counter to a later (as too current at the time) emphasis of Veronica with "business smarts", but I guess Veronica does have the right reaction.

interesting that "trench" deleted his twitter full of neo nazi followers, wiped his instagram, and removed all references to bring a "proud trench wolf" from what little social media presence i can find. this is after his original twitter was seemingly deleted and remade a few months before his debute. i don't know how legitimate this reporting about him being "out on injury" [before wrestling at all or really... doing anything requiring much physicality?] is, but if there are some company conduct/social issues at play i would Not. be surprised
