Owain and Julius, Larcei and Edward, Sain and Caeda, etc etc. Gaining a new reason to wake up in the morning and all the implications of that is always a joy to hash out over the course over multiple posts

Favorite TOA-related memory: The time Sirius and Est kept being forced to attack eachother by an arena boss, but whiffed all their rolls. Darcy and I wrote it with this little tongue-and-cheek bit where they kept saying "now isn't the time for sparring" before misdirecting yet another attack and writing Sirius' feelings regarding her, his past in Archanea, and the present state of that arena was real fun. it's just really cool!! i've especially quickly grown attached to how this frames the endings of awakening. a player will pick the chrom ending because of their attachment to robin and the bonds robin has made - and in universe it is because robin also cant let go of what they've built and want to stay in the world with their family longer. but a player will pick the robin ending if they value the good of the world over robin's personal relationships, erasing robin from the world and ending grima's personal samsara.

it's picking between samsara and nirvana for both robin AND the player man this is cool to think about and really makes me reevalutate why i prefer the ending i do (it's the chrom ending out of my desire to be gay and also out of my personal interpretations of grima's character).

the chrom ending leaves the floor open for grima to be reborn again because they still couldnt let go of their earthly bonds, but instead of their hatred, it is their love. yet BOTH need to be abandoned to reach nirvana.

actually musing on this more i feel the possible timeline most congruent with brave robin's characterization would thus be a post chrom ending robin. they'd have that "fate can change" attitude from beating grima, yet the possibility of grima's rebirth still hangs over them for the rest of their life. yeah, this actually works best. it does!! wow!! i just came to a satisfying conclusion!! thank you!!
