Tonight we tried making Crème Brûlée. I bought a kit since its our first time. Milk, whipping cream, and the custard mix was boiled gently, then you let it sit for an hour. Then the sugar from the kit was sprinkled on and then Ed got his new torch out and torched them all rather than using the broiler. They all look so good!!! So happy for how they turned out! . . Also have to thank @seanalfred1987 for introducing me to this dessert as a kid when he was learning to cook. Its probably my favorite dessert and I can't wait to try making more, especially ones like he made for us with the candy and stuff! Happy Sunday! One of favorite desserts personally (@viktoriya_in_love_with_life) is lemon bars or lemon squares. I can have it with my morning coffee, afternoon tea, or any time, really 😄 . I got curious about the origin of this delicious dessert and researched it. The lemon bar was first introduced in 1962 in Chicago Daily Tribune by Mrs. Mickelson for the column "Today's $5 favorite recipe" 📰 Food historians do not know if there were any earlier versions of the lemon square recipes, therefore, this is considered the first appearance. .
