IS isnt adding the fuckin kagamine twin protagonists from warriors so im putting my hangups towards warriors aside to draw lianna as if she was in heroes cuz i actually kinda like her design. this has definitely been done before, but now it’s my turn >:)

this takes me back! i used to love copying the art from fe heroes when i was playing it in middle school and its how i got my foot in the door with improving my art since i was always practicing. i also have made mock-heroes art during that era for a collab (drew two characters from the binding blade manga), but that was back in the stone age of 2018 and ive improved a lot since that last attempt

i am not doing rowan cuz i hate his haircut. also drawing heroes-style art is kinda exhausting lmao i am not a fan of drawing a character with the exact same colors the exact same way…….. (though i do want to try this again in the far future with one of my ocs)

alear is suprisingly the first FE protag who is a full dragon without any schemantics attached? they're just a dragon.

Engage really dropped the ball by not having an emblem for Rowan or Lianna. Extremely memorable characters from a very important entry in the series. It's even worse than having no Cipher rep.

anon i. i've actually been replaying the og FE warriors lately. it made me realize that the lemon twins really aren't as bad as we were all in a frenzy about when the game first came out. they're like. cromulent and shit, really. i swear im not off my rocker

You can blame the director, Usuda for that due to him making bizarre decisions and doing interviews that got the game, Bad PR by association.

oh yeah no I remember "no we can't do characters that aren't from FE1, Awakening or Fates. that'd be too many sword users in the game that we put two sword lord OCs in"e

feeling the imbalance on the weapon triangle firsthand. I can't justify more than three sword users (Lianna as the mandatory main character, Marth bc having one of the Dragon Delete Buttons around was handy in the campaign, and Xander for being the fastest fuckin character for some reason) I'd love to try out Corrin but can't justify the team slot.

Meanwhile Lances have one whole moveset in the base game so effectively one character (I'm not getting the DLC, it doesn't have the No One Cares discount on it) to the point where I'm now bringing up Lissa just so my pegasus stops overleveling from being the only character I bring against both swords and mages

I love rowan and lilianna fire emblem! They are obnoxious silly guys! I don’t really care about the story in the game or the random black haired friend they had, but they were silly and I think the only reason they were shafted so hard is because Nintendo based heroes off of them and doesn’t want to remind heroes players that there was a much better version that was going to have new characters monthly or something. Mobile games are cheaper than new switch DLCs I guess.
