annoys me how some FERP groups will bend over backwards to allow muses from every niche FE source ever but will ban TMS. buddy, if we're counting the Aytolis twins as well as every single MU except for Kris as a Lord, then Itsuki should also be a Lord? as he's actually in the Lord class by default???

Sleep offers little respite against the pains of the waking world. You drift off, and always you feel as though you are being scrutinized, but when you drift back into consciousness, the feeling fades, not unlike the coming and going of the tide.

One restless night, you are at last approached by The Watcher.

"You have a decision to make."

A feast materializes before you. You can smell it, can nearly taste it, you can feel the warmth and care put into every bite.

You already know, whatever the decision ahead, you can only choose one.

O inquisitive creature…

There is something you can't do without.

Will you starve, or will you give up each of your words, one by one?

She was hungry. She'd tried to hold out for the group. She never complained, she accepted the choices made by the group. She did her best to keep the peace in the group. But... it didn't matter in the end, did it? Brizo, Chiron, Nephele and Euphorie had all died. She was too weak to hold her sword properly. Forde had been snatched because of her own stupid idea to hunt down the shadow, and she had been snatched herself. Useless.

This wasn't Aytolis. She wasn't fighting a massive dragon that threatened to destroy everything she loved. Yet this was somehow worse. Starvation made desperate beasts out of all of them, she wasn't even certain if the feast before her or the Watcher were real, maybe she was hallucinating and this was the end. In the end she was useless. Rowan wasn't at her side, and everything she had learned she could rely on, everything she tried to accomplish out here, failed.

"What use are words anymore?" Lianna asked tiredly. She dropped to her knees before this cruel being, before the feast it offered, all her hopeful optimism shattered on the ground around her. "What good are words anymore?"

Tears broke free from her eyes... as she accepted the feast.

I know every appearance of Marth is supposed to be a different version of him since FE operates on multiverse theory, but it's so much funnier and more dramatic if it was the same Marth every time as a weird Odysseus archetype

He's stranded between the Outrealms. He fought in an interdimentional tournament and got punched by a gorilla. He aided three different Corrins in three different worlds. He keeps meeting his descendant and knows his world will almost end twice. He got dragged to Aytolis and Askr to aid them in a war he should have no place in. He ended up in modern day Japan. He lost his body and got trapped in a ring for more than a thousand years.

He's older than young Tiki by now and somehow looks younger than he was during the War of Heroes. He knows his status as a legend even if he wants nothing to do with it. Everyone keeps summoning him because they need help and he'll keep giving it because that's just the way he is, and he made so many friends.

But all he wants to do is to return to his Altea at his time, reunite with his wife and just rest.

He'll never be able to because he's a living legend, the face of the franchise, and so he will keep being brought back to aid those in need.

He is tired.

If Rowan wants to be a knight, why isn’t he a cavalier or armored unit, infantry units aren’t knights?

Here's the fun part. He's too much of a clown. My man can't ride—Frederick is the one who kind of wonders if it isn't enough for him to ride a horse (like any normal unit would do) when Rowan wants to be a Pegasus Knight just like Cordelia (let my boy ride a Pegasus!!).

And then Rowan is like "oh yeah. But I kind of suck at that" (riding a horse) KDHKSH I guess he could be reclassed into armoured unit but also, he just knows how to use the sword I think—based on how his description only mentions him being versed on Gristonne's and Aytolis' sword techniques. So he probably can't use a lance.

Such a clown...........

Okay so some background: I'm writing a fic for base FEW where I replace most of the crossover games with games I've actually played all the way through. I'm currently working on outlining the Engage arc, and do you have ANY IDEA how HARD it is to make a coherent FEW-style arc for Engage?!

FEW severely waters down the plots of each game it crosses over with. Only a small group of characters make it to Aytolis, and that NEVER includes the big bad evil dragon. (In fact, the arc's big bad is always a single plot-significant boss. I'm using Zephia, but none of the other four hounds make it to Aytolis) And with the exception of dragon veins, the gimmicks don't usually make it in either. On top of that, whatever the other game's undead mooks are don't make it in either, as they're usually replaced by outrealm fiends.

This means no Sombron, no corrupted, and no emblem rings. And without those, what's left of Engage's plot? Veyle.

(Engage spoilers ahead for anyone who still cares)

So yeah, I have to try to cram Veyle's whole thing into three or four battles, somehow reveal that Alear and Veyle are siblings without the use of the Emblems, and still have character development for Alear, as they'll be the one with the gleamstone at the end of the arc.

So here's the take: Half of Engage's problems could have been solved if Alear knew when to fight and when to run. I get that it's called a character flaw, but damn, losing the emblem rings in chapter 10? Totally avoidable. And Sombron getting all the rings anyway?? EVEN MORE AVOIDABLE!! I mean yeah, Veyle would have died, but from a tactical standpoint that's better than letting Sombron get all the rings???

Anyway I'm definitely going to be playing with that character flaw in the fic!

👋 + greenhouse! ;)

Perhaps it was just how green it was, but Lianna loved the greenhouse. It was beautiful inside, and it reminded her of the gardens that were in Aytolis, slowly regaining their splendour. She found it calming being in here. There always seemed to be someone within, speaking to the garden keeper or thinking or even tending to the plants around themselves.

This was how she met Laslow.

She hadn't met him before, but something just a little familiar about him. She couldn't quite place her finger on it. Perhaps it was that slight familiarity that drew Lianna to approach.

"Hello," she hummed, smiling in greeting. "My name is Lianna. It's a pleasure to meet you."

She dipped into a quick curtsey as had been drilled into her from the moment she could walk and then straightened to hold out her hand.
