Mama Cale AU

On Earth, there's a phenomenon after the Apocalypse that they had taken to call '2nd genders' or ABO, for short. Only a handful of people knew Kim Rok Soo was an Omega, some of those people were Lee Soo Hyuk and Choi Jung Soo. But when everything went downhill, he would hear whispers of being a failure of an Omega; omegas after all were bringer of life, the only thing Kim Rok Soo failed at.

That's why when he transmigrated as Cale Henituse and became a woman, she never dared to hope to have children of her own, so she took in strays. She gave up of having any when she consulted a doctor while in disguise who gave her a verdict of being infertile. So, she focused on taking down the White Star so she can have peace and make sure her children are safe and sound, even if they weren't hers to begin with.

On, Hong, and Raon once asked why she never hesitated to adopt them, and she answered, "Because I have zero chance of giving birth to any..." On was the first to realize when it left her baby brothers in confusion, so she told them when their adopted mother was out of earshot.

"That's cruel..." Hong cried.

"Why does it have to be her?" Raon whispered sadly. "Why does it have to someone as kind and caring as her?"

"Why do good people like her have to suffer...?"

She had opened up to Tasha once of wanting her own but made the Dark Elf woman promise to never tell anybody. It was after the battle of the White Star that she heard the voice of the World Tree telling her that the branch she stabbed herself with healed her body spiritually and made her plate stronger.

However, that wasn't what made her breakdown when she was out of the temple (which send her companions in a frenzy). The words the World Tree told her were, "It healed more than just your injuries, you know. You deserve so much more, Child. That's why nature agreed you're more than worthy than others to bear life."

"You can have your own children if you want."

Cale's tears were non-stop as she embraced the three children within her reach. They said nothing and embraced her, all while their friends were losing their minds at the back.
