I wanted to draw this ever since Malroth uttered these words lol. I started liking Malroth pretty much immediately, mostly from his ‘dead in the water’ joke, but I feel like this is the line that made me really ‘stan’ him, or whatever it is people are saying these days. I wanted to just reach through the screen and squeeze him and tell him how cute he is lol. I want to do a few more of these, get more practice doing Chibi style... Quick question though.. What do you think Pastor Al looks like under that cloak and mask? I kinda think maybe he looks like Hargon, just without the giant bat ears (Are those even his actual ears or is it a headdress?) but idk. I’m new to the dragon quest series so maybe there’s some info I don’t know about

For 99.9% of renovations, works run smoothly, the job gets done and everything turns out perfectly. However, there is the 0.1% of cases where accidents can sometimes happen, and that’s when it’s good to know you are covered. Before you even commence site works, it’s good to be prepared so you can rest easy and proceed with confidence. Check your insurance cover first and have a discussion with your contractor to make sure you are both clear about the action that will be taken if any unexpected accidents occur.  Keeping the communication open with your contractor will make all the difference. It’s rare that accidents happen, but with good communication and a well selected team of trades, setbacks will be rectified quickly and the project back on track with as minimal disruption as possible.
Learn more about how to get the most out of your renovation at our upcoming Reno Read Workshop on 31 July.

Building your castle - at what price?
It’s the Australian dream to build your own home, but is it too expensive to achieve?
“As well as being significantly cheaper to build, Australia has 12 times more land per capita than America. On any measure Australians should expect their homes to be cheaper – but that’s not the case.” - Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) executive director Kirk Coningham
Domain has shared reports on international building costs and found that Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are ranked 19, 21 and 22 respectively in the most expensive areas to build worldwide.
However, the report further reveals that whilst we may be in an expensive build zone, the median house prices are considerably higher than the cost of construction. The Domain chart below shows building costs reflect just 33% of the median house prices in Sydney.
Tumblr media
On the other hand, it also shows house prices are 12.9 times the median income and therefore ranks Sydney as number 2 on the unaffordability rank.
So, that returns us to the original question - is building your castle too expensive compared to buying an existing dwelling? What are your thoughts?

Joyful February
Tumblr media
Hello everyone,
Well its full steam ahead here for 2020. We are excited to be tweaking our offerings in 2020 so we can provide more value to more people. An underestimated element of renovating is being clear about the intention behind renovating. So often people renovate for their home/investment property to look good. We prefer to start with the intention of “How do you want the property to feel” after its been renovated? Do you want it to feel warm and loved, welcoming visitors and nurturing those that live there? If you do, what sorts of things do you believe will need to happen during the renovation process for this to be achieved? It’s a thought provoking question and you are the only one that can answer that for yourself. For a bit of guidance on that line of thought though, take a look at some of the articles we’ve included in this month’s offerings, especially the article on creating joy in your home.
On another note, I’m excited to let you know that I am involved with the Women Building Australia mentoring program this year. I am lucky enough to have been paired with a fabulous mentee from Melbourne and I am looking forward to giving back to the industry that I have been involved with for the last 15+ years.
On the flip side, we do need your help! We’re looking for our next round of exciting projects.  So if you have a property that requires a refresh - contact us today as we will be able to make a start ASAP. Similarly, if you require assistance with selecting your fittings and fixtures, we can work with you to get this item off your to do list in the next couple of weeks.
Thats it from us for this month. Enjoy reading the articles we have personally selected for you and until next month, be happy, healthy and have fun.

The present and future - Hong Kong in reflection - - What an extraordinary week it has been. A business trip that became a personal journey of regard for culture and re-establishing what it means to make sacrifices - - Like many big cities, the streets and alleyways are filled with history. There's myriad of rich culture relevance that runs at the heart of the cities bloodline. The people are at the heart of them, especially in Hong Kong - - Like so many established countries, the disparity between the wealthy and the working class are vast. They are hidden away whilst developments tower over council estate properties. - - It is a continuous problem globally - building homes to house the poor whilst the wealthy continue to drive the property market to levels of ludricrocy. Business deals are transacted every second in Hong Kong as the city doesn't sleep. Boundaries are pushed and it's expected rules should be broken. But at what cost? - - As the CEO of OPSKiC Group and the founder of Magenta Balance, I want to remember the young principled girl who has so much regard and love for her parents and Antoinette. Antoinette was bulled at school because she had special needs. We were both 8 yrs of age and I would sit in the playground with her pretty much every lunchtime. I don't know why I did this but I knew this was the right thing to do. - - I know I can walk anywhere in the world and carry myself with pride and grace. Antoinette is my constant reminder of who I have always been as a child and I will continue to carry this with me throughout my business career. My companies will run with integrity and will operate with people being at the HEART of my businesses. - - I will miss Hong Kong but destiny awaits me in Europe and USA. - - #hongkong #chinesepride #chinesewoman #chinesefamily #chinesebusinesswoman #womaninbiz #businesswoman #femaledeveloper #femaleincontruction #builder #femalebuilder #womandeveloper #femaledeveloper #Australia #melbourngirl #UK (RSS generated with FetchRss) from https://www.instagram.com/p/BpbXM-xF_9Y
