Thai boys were on God's heart months before being trapped in the cave. Our yielding ourselves to prayer matters. Visions and dreams matter. Writing these down...even key words that may not 'make sense' at the time, in a journal matters. The Holy Spirit knows. 4/30/18 in my journal these words: 'Mighty prayer warriors breaking strongholds in the Spirit realm...saw many hungry people... starving children...THAI.' Never had I been pressed by the Lord before this to pray specifically for Thai children. And this was April 30th. Throughout the night, prevailing prayers And intercession prayer for these Thai boys to live and not die, words of LIFE. Asking the Lord to help them rise, to make a way where there is no way. God will do it. The Power of Goal Setting!!

If you have ever wanted to lose weight, gain that promotion at work, or record that personal best in some activity, setting yourself goals can support you in achieving where you want to be. Having the motivation to improve yourself is very important but why set goals?

Research conducted by the esteemed Harvard University found that 10 years after graduating from an MBA program 3% of the students were earning 10 times more than the remaining 97% put together! Why were the 3% out earning the other 97%? The answer is simple they had written down their goals.

So, what is it that makes setting goals so powerful?

1. Goals keep you motivated – Imagine the feeling of joy and satisfaction you will experience when you reach your goals. Knowing that you are moving in the right direction towards your goals step-by-step will keep you motivated achieving your overall goals.

2. Goals keep you focused – As self-help Guru Brian Tracy said, “goals allow you to control the direction of change in your favour”. Writing down your goals and reviewing them regularly will keep you focused and make sure you are on the right road to success.

3. Goals help you stay positive - Focus on what you're able to do and change. Remind yourself of all your positive capabilities and qualities. Look forward to the future where you know by having achieved your goals you will be more positive about the future. Visualise the future state after achieving your goals.

Read this blog, reflect upon this blog but most importantly take action. Would you rather be in the 3% out earning the 97%? With such powerful research and findings isn’t time you wrote down your goals!
