I ran 83.6 miles this month!! 🙌🏼 Was it easy? Definitely NOT! I don't wake up every morning thinking "YAY! I want to go run!" It's more like "Ugh, when am I going to squeeze this run in today". Everyday I have things I would rather be doing. But I get it done, I push past the aches and pains that running/working out causes. Why? Because the alternative hurts WAY MORE. Day #3 touching the fence and no sweets mega challenge ! Man did the universe do a number on me today! I couldn't get down the aisle I needed at Target, so sorry went down the next one to get around the people that we're homesteading and it was the candy aisle! Then went grocery shopping and was looking for my snap pea crisps and walked down the cookie aisle. They were also having a giant pie sale!! 😡So I kept my head down and went to Starbucks and treated myself to unsweetened tea. I got out and went for a little run for the first time in a long time. I decided that I AM a runner and to stop making excuses to not run. It makes my heart happy to run. Even though I've lost all of my fitness; I am starting to rebuild it. Today is day one of my training plan to run a 5k non-stop in July. #fftfl #iamarunner #mycoachlarry #mcl

The inaugural @maxperformancetri #HarvestTri didn't disappoint this morning!!! :) The swim calm, the bike smooth & the run challenging, yet pretty. There were highs & lows during the race, but somehow landing on the podium (1st 35-39) was tops! It still doesn't feel real. My motivation, my encouragement...the reason I am here

Being on this soul-changing and huge trip is not just a result of a long time dream being put into motion. The only reason why this was possible for me, was the fact that I met a group of fabulous, encouraging and inspirational people, who not only shaped my life into what it is now, but also helped me fulfill this dream. This group keeps me motivated, keeps me going. They are the people that are giving me the opportunity to travel through their beautiful country, meet locals, live an American life and find myself, my goals, my purpose while doing it. They encourage me to be whoever I want to be and live a happy, healthy and fit lifestyle. It's a group of people that succeeded in turning their lives around to become the best version of themselves. This group has been build on an original team of 12 runners, with an average weight loss of 100 pounds who got together to run 200 miles from Miami to Key West in a Ragnar Relay race. ‘This team and their astonishing race has been followed by a TV production team. Now there is going to be a movie released about these amazing people in January 2016. This is their story!!!

T-minus 2 days until #MarathonMonday! This pic was snapped after being reunited with my family after the 2013 race. Beyond thankful we all made it home safe and sound. When the bombs went off I was just across the finish line being pissed at my time and how the last few miles my race went. Then life changed. From that moment on I promised myself I would never regret a race or fret over a finish time because running (to me) is about more than that. #ThrowbackThursday To Mile 14 of Monday's @bostonmarathon! Running this race is magical on many levels & one is the amount of familiar faces you see lining the streets. I'm blown away by the number of friends & family I was able to hug over those 26.2 miles. I want to thank them all individually, but need to start with these smiling faces from Mile 14. I'm beyond thankful that @tedysteam brought these people into my life. They knew I was hurting & let me cry on each of their shoulders, gave me a cooking blanket & a quick hit of champagne. Without their words of encouragement & love - on this day & always - I wouldn't be who I am today. #ThrowbackThursday Finishing the 2014 @bostonmarathon hand-in-hand with 6 of my @tedysteam teammates! Of these folks I was the only one to finish in 2013 so needless to say we were all crying & hugging after finishing this race. The 2014 was a tough one for me - multiple med tent visits - so finding these friends on the course pushed me to finish when I wasn't sure I would.
