fictionkin shifts?

hiya fellow fictionkin. i have a question. is it fairly unusual to not "kinshift", rather just be i guess "kinshifted" all the time? forever? there is never a moment where i'm not being me ("my fictotype"), but i have come to realize that may be a bit odd. i'm not worried about it, just curious to see if this is a common experience or not.

Sighs in my (mental) kinshifts always lasting hours to days because they can never be small so I’m going to be Venti for awhile

(I do prefer being called my kin names or just an animal (in this case Venti) over Leviathan or Noah during shifts)

I'm telling ya, the Annual Evil Egg Hunt is one of the craziest things you'll ever experience.

What we do is, all the adults villains hide all the eggs throughout the Villain Meeting building, while we kids sit at the front, and when they're done, they pass out the baskets, and here's the craziest part:

The adults bet on us like race horses. They don't just bet on which of is wins first place- they bet on who wins second, who wins third, who comes in last, who finds the first egg, which two of us gets into an argument over who saw an egg first, ect ect.

Do you have any idea how crazy it is to be having an indoor egg hunt with all your friends from the past year, meanwhile a bunch of adults are all in the background shouting things like "500$ ON ROYAL DANDY COMING IN LAST!" "300 BUCKS SAYS SILVER AND VICTORIA FIGHT OVER AN EGG AT SOME POINT!" "150$ ON CORI COMING IN SECOND!" ? Do you? DO YOU?

I won, by the way. Had to shove Tobey on his side over the sparkly purple-y glitter egg under the table, and also had to slap Chazz's sunglasses off his face over the pink and blue spots egg under the potted plant, but it was worth it.

I think that alterhumans/nonhumans don't talk too much about seasonal shifts as someone with many kintypes.

for me, weather or a season really affect my experience.

there are types of shifts/or feelings in general I only experience when it's raining, or the ones that only appear when it's snow outside... for example, it's most likely for me to feel more birdy in colder weather, since wearing baggy chlothes/coats make me feel like they're my feathers, and its more likely for me to feel more dragon-y in warm sunlight, where I can feel my scales while sunbathing

in general, when seasons change, so does my experience with everything... sometimes the weather doesn't make me feel like one of my kintypes at all, and sometimes it's the exact opposite

I noticed it recently, in the last 6 months I couldn't really feel my fox side at all, at the point that made me question my identity, i finally figured out that's cause I mostly experience fox-like shifts in autumn-winter!
