The following is a rejected script from an early season of Breaking Bad.

FADE IN:

EXT. JESSE’S HOUSE - DAY

The front door of Jesse’s house opens, and his SAMOYED DOG, METH HEAD, runs out into the front yard. A comical theme song starts playing.

CUT TO:

EXT. BUTCHER SHOP - DAY

Meth Head is seen running up to the front door of a butcher shop. Inside, we see a butcher slicing some sausages. Suddenly, Meth Head charges into the shop, grabs a sausage and runs out again.

CUT TO:

EXT. PARK - DAY

Meth Head is walking in a park with the sausage in his mouth. He suddenly stops and sniffs a lamp post before running off again.

CUT TO:

EXT. DESERT - DAY

Meth Head is seen sitting on a rock in the middle of the desert, conversing with a COYOTE named FILLMEUP.

METH HEAD:  …And that’s why I think the republicans are just plain crazy.

FILLMEUP THE COYOTE:  Hmm, interesting perspective. But what about their foreign policy?

METH HEAD:  (sighing) Don’t even get me started on that.

Meth Head gets up, leaves the FILLMEUP and heads back towards Jesse’s house.

CUT TO:

EXT. JESSE’S HOUSE - DAY

Meth Head is seen waiting patiently by the front door. Jesse’s car pulls up outside the house. Meth Head barks excitedly and runs towards Jesse as he gets out of the car.

JESSE:  Hey there buddy, how was your day?

Meth Head wags his tail and licks Jesse’s face.

JESSE (CONT'D):  Alright, let’s get inside and make some dinner.

Jesse and Meth Head head inside the house together.

FADE OUT.

INT. JESSE’s APARTMENT - DAY

Gus is standing in front of Jesse, his eyes filled with anger and suspicion. Jesse is beaten and bruised, tied to a chair.

GUS: (menacingly) Where is he, Jesse? Where is Lil Victor?!

JESSE: (panicking) I swear, man, I didn't let him out! I would never do that to you, Gus!

GUS: (sceptical) Don't lie to me, Jesse. I know you have a history of screwing things up. Tell me where he is before I make you regret it.

JESSE: (desperate) I swear, I don't know where he is! Please, Gus, just let me go!

Gus grabs Jesse by the collar and leans in closer, his face inches away from Jesse's.

GUS: (coldly) You better start talking, Jesse. Or else…

Suddenly, a loud commotion is heard from outside. Gus and Jesse turn to see Meth Head, the samoyed, Fillmeup the coyote, and Lil Victor, the chicken, wreaking havoc in Jesse's backyard. They are wearing makeshift disguises and seem to be planning something.

GUS: (shocked) What the hell is going on out there?!

JESSE: (guiltily) Oh, crap. That's Meth Head, Fillmeup, and Lil Victor. They must have escaped!

GUS: (confused) Escaped? What do you mean, Jesse?

JESSE: (sheepishly) Uh, well, they're planning to invade Canada to steal maple syrup. I may have mentioned my love for pancakes once or twice…

Gus stares at Jesse in disbelief, then turns to the chaos outside.

GUS: (sighing) I can't believe this. You really have a way of attracting trouble, Jesse.

JESSE: (sheepishly) Yeah, sorry about that, Gus.

Gus unties Jesse and heads for the door, mumbling to himself.

Rejected Bad: Mineshaft Disposal

The following is a rejected script from an early season of Breaking Bad.

EXT. DESERT ROAD - NIGHT

Walter (driving) and Mike (passenger seat) are on a remote desert road, their trunk filled with body bags. The car's headlights illuminate the empty road ahead.

WALTER:  Damn it, Mike. This landfill fine is really screwing us over. You'd think they'd appreciate our efforts in cleaning up the streets, considering we're in the meth business.

MIKE:  (chuckling)  Yeah, I guess our timing was off when the bodies started piling up. May they rest in peace... or in whatever part of the desert creatures devour them.

WALTER:  So, any idea where we're going to dispose of these bodies now?

MIKE:  (grinning)  How about that abandoned mineshaft? Not even the coyotes will find them there.

Walter and Mike share a nervous laugh.

EXT. ABANDONED MINESHAFT - NIGHT

Walter and Mike pull the car over near the mineshaft, surrounded by vast desert terrain. The moonlight casts an eerie glow on the area.

WALTER:  (sighing)  Alright, let's get this over with. And keep an eye out for any unwanted visitors, like those damn coyotes. I swear, they've been following us since we left the lab.

MIKE:  (grabbing a body bag)  You worry too much, Walt. We just need to dump these bodies and get back to town before sunrise.

They both grab body bags and start moving towards the mineshaft, careful not to stumble on the uneven terrain.

EXT. ABANDONED MINESHAFT - DEEPER INTO THE DESERT - NIGHT

Mike opens the mineshaft entrance, revealing complete darkness below.

MIKE:  (grinning mischievously)  It's time to give these groupies the proper burial they deserve.

Walter and Mike begin lowering the bags cautiously into the mineshaft.

WALTER:  (low voice)  I hope Mayor Johnson is happy now. Bodies won't be piling up in trash skips anymore.

Suddenly, the sound of howling coyotes echoes from a distance.

MIKE:  (nervously)  Walt, we gotta hurry. Those damn coyotes are getting closer.

They dispose of the remaining body bags quickly.

INT. METH LAB - NIGHT

Walter and Mike, both exhausted and covered in dirt, return to the car. They speed away from the mineshaft, leaving the desert darkness behind.

INT. CAR - NIGHT

Walter keeps glancing at the rearview mirror, anxiously scanning the road for any signs of the pack of coyotes.

WALTER:  (whispering to himself)  Just stay away, you damn pests. We've got enough problems as it is.

MIKE:  (patting Walter's shoulder)  Relax, Walt. We're in the clear now. No more trash skip incidents and no more coyotes to follow us.

They continue driving back towards town as the desert landscape disappears in the rearview mirror.

FILLMEUP:  Looks like meat’s back on the menu, pups!

FADE OUT.
