APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, formerly known as the Kerala Technological University, will conduct offline supplementary examinations for BTech students of all semesters beginning September 9. While concerns were raised by a section of the students and the state human rights commission (KSHRC), the university claims that it will adopt Covid-19 safety protocols. In a circular issued on August 24, the university said it is aware of the challenges faced by students due to the pandemic, but that a “time has come wherein we are left with no options other than to ‘live with Covid’.” “It is to be noted that there are hundreds of students with few back papers, many of them are even placed, who are eagerly waiting for the conduct of these supplementary examinations and publication of results. Any further delay in the conduct of these examinations will affect their career prospects and higher education opportunities,” it said. It added that students who face specific difficulties in attending the supplementary examinations can avail the next immediate chance. In another circular on September 3, the university said it will conduct odd semester supplementary examinations as a special one-time chance this year especially for those with backlogs. नई दिल्ली |काफी वक़्त से छात्रों के हित में रुका फैसला आखिर युजीसी ने सुना ही दिया। अंतिम वर्षीय छात्रों को देना पड़ेगा परीक्षाएं। मार्च में लगे लॉकडाउन से यह फैसला काफी समय तक लंबित था। शुक्रवार को युजीसी ने कहा,”छात्र अब यह न सोचे की परीक्षाए स्थगित होंगी ,परीक्षा के लिए शुरू कर दे तैयारी। ”

अदालत ने कहा,”छात्रों को परीक्षाओं की तैयारी जारी रखनी चाहिए। छात्रों को इस धारणा के तहत नहीं होना चाहिए कि उच्चतम न्यायालय की सुनवाई के कारण परीक्षाएं रोक दी जाएंगी।” वैकल्पिक परीक्षा समस्यात्मक है, अगर कोई परीक��षा में शामिल नहीं हो पाया तो काफी दिक्कत हो सकती है, क्युकी परीक्षाए होना छात्रों के लिए लाभदायक है। न्यायालय ने गृह मंत्रालय को अपना पक्ष स्पष्ट करने के लिए भी कहा| इस महीने की शुरुआत में मंत्रालय ने कहा कि, “अंतिम वर्ष की परीक्षाएं हो सकती हैं।” केंद्र ने कहा कि, “यह सोमवार यानी 3 अगस्त तक जवाब देगा लेकिन ज़ोर दिया कि सभी छात्रों को अपनी परीक्षा की तैयारी जारी रखनी चाहिए।”

सॉलिसिटर जनरल तुषार मेहता ने कहा, “सोमवार तक हम किसी को भी इस धारणा के अधीन नहीं होना चाहिए कि, वे तैयारी नहीं कर सकते हैं। छात्रों को परीक्षा की तैयारी करनी चाहिए।”
