My beloved gave me a voucher for Christmas, and I spent it *straight away* on Scheepjes Secret Garden and Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk.

Knitted together for another super cosy roll neck jumper with subtle bell sleeves.

Bit windy on the seafront this morning (though beautiful), so have one by the front door again too 😂

The “A Kindness of Ravens” pattern by @disyarning is available! I test knit it and can confirm it’s a very well put-together pattern. My sweater took me ✨forever✨(cables, color work, and fingering weight yarn do not a quick knit make) but I 💙the end result! It fits me perfectly and the yarn is very soft and cozy, though a bit slippery for the color work section. Another project from my unfinished projects pile is done! Okay, almost done, it still needs buttons but otherwise it's finished! I'm thinking of red buttons to give it a pop off color, but I haven't found the perfect buttons yet.

Do I still have tiny ends poking out here and there because I remembered at the last minute before leaving the house that this was in the dryer and ready to wear so I hurriedly snipped as many ends as I could remember before running out the door? I finished my Halloween 2022 Mkal Shawl by Lucky Violet Color Co. So I guess it's time to move on from spooky season. This shawl turned out super cozy and sits on my shoulders well without sliding off. I'm happy with my yarn choice on this one, I mostly shopped for a spooky color, but it made a soft, slightly shiny fabric that showed the pattern nicely. Happy favorite finished object Friday everyone! 🤗 #favoriteFoFriday Have I ever told you that in all the years I have been knitting, I have never knit socks?! Even though I love to wear hand knit socks, I really don't like working at such a small circumference. 🙈 So whenever I need a quick and easy in-between project, I make a hat - no matter the season. I knit hats all year around. 🙃 In the pictures above you can see my lastest hat. It is called Monument Hat, because it reminds me of globes on buildings. 🧶 #monumentHat I have written the pattern and already had it tech edited. Now it is ready to be tested. But since it is slowly getting summer in this hemisphere, I will wait a little before I open a new call for testers... Monument Hat is made holding two strands of unspun yarn and one strand of silk mohair. I used "Unspun 2104" from Raincloud&Sage and Mohair by Canard and I am in love with the squishy fabric this combo creates. 😍 What is your favorite FO right now? I sewed a pirate shirt to wear to the @newyorkrenaissancefaire for my birthday yesterday! I followed @morgandonner's updated Elizabethan shift tutorial! I made a couple changes - pleats instead of gathers, as little hand sewing as I could manage, and hip-length instead of floor-length - but otherwise followed it pretty closely! For a first ever sewn garment, it turned out great! 15 days later and your favorite Mystery #wip has been blocked & is now a #finishedobject !! In just 2 weeks, We've reached 473 stitches (and goodness only knows how many short rows)on my beautiful #chiaogoo interchangeable needles. I'm using #queenslandperthyarn (80% Superwash Wool & 20% Nylon) in the colorway Rainbow Reef as the Main Color, and #malabrigosockyarn (100% Superwash Merino Wool) in the colorway 195 Black as the Contrast Color! I have never seen a pattern written in this way but it's one of those things where, if I take it bit by bit and trust the process, the progress is AMAZING. Life is like that sometimes, don't you think? Life has certainly been like that lately. My current housing crisis is reminding me of that. But the magic part is that I haven't had to revert to any old behaviors to cope with the stress! Thank you for seeing me through it.
