Clive/Gav headcanons/rambles/???

remembering i can post whatever i want once again so i'm posting some clive/gav headcanons since i was talking to a friend about our desires for character study slowburn but also our lamentations that we are not fic writers. and how barely anybody else is talking about this ship. so here's the compiled thoughts i've had. (there's more of them than i thought)

It's very 'Gav falls first, Clive falls harder'. Gav's got eyes, he see's what we all see and as he sees the kind of man Clive is and he's gonna fall deeper. and he also may think he's out of Clive's league. - Clive's got enough self resentment that he isn't even sure he's allowed to love again. the subject of 'loving somebody' is likely barely on the table in his mind yet after 13 years of spite and revenge, he still needs to catch up. Jill may put it on the table as it was maybe something they once felt, or something they were once expected to have; but they're different people now, trying to find themselves in their new space to do so. And during that time Gav is waiting for that 'will they wont they' to unfold.

Clive has spent a lot of time having to be physically violent against his will, so i think he enjoys getting to actually touch people affectionately for once - which we see for ourselves flusters Gav. as Gav grows accustomed to and even reciprocating of it (Gav having his growing crush and deciding to take what he can get) Clive's very glad with how comfortable he can be around Gav without consciously thinking too hard about it. along with how much i think Clive respects and admires Gav for everything he does, he's glad to continue being physically affectionate to show his appreciation.

Clive reflects on how for 13 years he had nothing to sincerely smile for while stuck as a hateful miserable soldier, and even before then under his mother they were few and far between. and as he's finding his footing for the first time in forever this funny breath of fresh air comes along and suddenly he's smiling. often even. And he can't even remember the last time his smile felt real. The last time he laughed so hard, eventually to the point where it's hard enough to make his chest hurt. that he doesn't quite feel like he's drowning.

he tries not to think too hard when Gav gets either giddy or flustered when he's praised lest the word "cute" fill his head. How he thinks Gav deserves all those kind words every time.

He and Gav have had their quiet moments over the years of the timeskip, and maybe somewhere earlier in the timeline than what happens in the game before joshua's returned, Gav's brings up earlier; "i never got to be a big brother" - losing his family in one night - and instead him relating to Clive on the feeling of failing to protect and save a younger sibling. in that vulnerable moment maybe Gav musters up asking 'was being a big brother nice? atleast for a little while?'. and they can mourn together the lost chances, pressure, and pride.

Along the way Clive picks up that Gav's jokes are how he gets by with the darker thoughts, the self doubts, the feeling of not being enough. and he comes to appreciate the Gav that isn't just trying to make him laugh or ease up, the Gav that is also struggling, that makes reminding him he's special continue to mean more to him. when he wants to be the one that also makes Gav smile and laugh and be happy to be alive in return

Gav's a man who's never been good at fancy words, and suddenly he wants to be a poet because he needs a way to describe the feelings he has. As he lets Clive see all his doubts and flaws but never being shamed for it, continuing to be treated by Clive's kindness, he cherishes feeling legitimately seen and cared for despite his weakness. and he feels like the most honoured man alive whenever Clive confides his struggles in him more and more too

everybody has been watching these two insufferably pine, Gav being more self aware and self concious, while Clive not even figuring out his own feelings yet for so long doesn't realize that he's obvious to everyone else :)

When Clive finally puts all the points together, being struck with the realization he's in love. the subsequent question "oh fuck is that allowed", and is laying in that bed hands in his hair staring wide eyed at the ceiling utterly stricken. But Clive, always the driven man, will eventually resolve to let Gav know, because he thinks Gav deserves that much. to let him know how grateful he is to know how to love someone - him - like this.

Going through and organizing my files since I've decided to order them by year and month now instead of fandom, which I wish I was doing before

List of reasons why pnf crossover is genius in no particular order

1 Phineas and Ferb have a lot in common with Glamrock freddy when you think about it. Not even just the ones that I wrote down a month ago. Phineas and Freddy (and ferb but he's not shown) would most definitely get along

Also, Gregory and Phineas and Ferb are around the same age so (if gregory is 12 then Phineas and Ferb aren't that far behind if aged up a little)

5 I wish I got out a better drawing to demonstrate but I just have a gut feeling that out of everybody in the cast, Isabella would be the one Gregory grows closest with.

At first maybe liked her the most since she's a firescout girl and he has a trend with sticking to who is useful to him. But idk I like the idea that maybe later they get to bond a bit more

What about Phineas and Ferb being his friends? We'll get to why they aren't immediately the best candidates later lolllll

The daycare attendant and the gang would be entertaining af together and you know it.

I got a WHOLE lot more reasons but these are the ones that have a drawing to go with them

Review and Recap : “Muira-Horror!” (Spoilers Ahead)

I hope this is better than the first Muirahara Woods episode. Spoilers abound!

RECAP

We begin the episode at Krei Tech, where Krei is calling in Judy (his assistant) so she can tell Hiro that Krei wants to talk to him. Hiro is actually in the room sitting across from Krei, but Krei thought he was a strange plant. Krei asks how Hiro is with bugs, Hiro thinking that he meant tech bugs. We switch scenes to Muirahara Woods, where Hiro finds out Krei meant bugs, like the insects. Krei wants to buy a plot of land to create KreiPark, a new tech campus. While Krei is talking about how much he loves the woods, Liv walks up to Krei and Hiro, and Chris says that Sycorax wants the land to make a nature conservatory. They prepare for a bid fight, but Chris doesn’t get a signal. Krei gets ready to gloat about the superior KreiTech Phones, only for the signal to get cut off for him too. Hiro says this is due to Bessy, the meteorite that disables electronics and that Ned Ludd is protecting it.

After the intro, Hiro, Judy, and Krei celebrate their winning of the Muirahara Woods with sparkling lemonade. Krei says that tomorrow he will go and convince Ned Ludd to take Bessy and leave, and that Hiro will be coming with him.

Another party is happening between Liv and Chris at Sycorax, as they have been looking for that meteorite for months. Chris points out how they’ll need to get rid of Krei and Ned, and Liv says they’ll just kill two birds with one stone. One monstrous stone.

At the Lucky Cat Cafe, Cass says she has a catering job but can’t leave the Cafe. Hiro says he would help but he has to go the woods with Krei, Gogo says she’ll come with him while the rest of the team help out at the Cafe.

At Muirahara Woods, specifically Ned’s Treehouse, Need is having a... I don’t know what to call it. A lunch period with Bessy. Liv walks in and says she is an eco forward entrepreneur. Chris appears behind him and when Ned asks where he came from, Chris says he is from the most advanced genetic lab. Ned proceeds to attempt to be Chris up with a stick but Chris manages to disarm Ned and disappear. A couple seconds later he ambushes Ned and knocks him out via pressure points. Liv puts one of Karmi’s patches onto Ned and says she has plans for Bessy. Meanwhile, Gogo is driving a van with Krei and Hiro in tow into the woods before the van eventually shuts down, making them in Bessy territory.

At the Lucky Cat Cafe, Honey, Wasabi, Fred, Baymax, and Mini-Max seem to be running it well until Mochi escapes an open door. Fred, Baymax, and Mini-Max embark to find Mochi as Honey and Wasabi continue to manage the cafe.

At Muirahara Woods, Hiro, Krei, and Gogo are looking for Ned’s house when, speak of the devil, Ned comes out the woods acting weird and saying odd things. Meanwhile, Liv and Chris are stealing Bessy. Also Liv considers Chris a pet. Kinda concerning. Back in the middle of the woods, Ned continues acting weird when Liv activates the chip on his neck, transforming him into an actual Hibbogan. This proceeds to a chase through the forest where they somewhat manage to get Ned off their tail before Gogo falls into a river. Krei manages to save Gogo with the help of a tree branch before she falls down a waterfall. Krei surprisingly knows about nature. The group hears the howls of the Hibbogan and Krei and Hiro proceed to mask their scene. Gogo refuses but the Hibbogan jumps behind her and she runs off. The Hibbogan doesn’t attack Krei or Hiro though, just chases Gogo. After a bit of chasing, the Hibbogan corners Gogo but Hiro and Krei manage to distract it, causing it to drop Gogo, injuring her leg. Hiro and Krei bring Gogo behind a rock and mask her scent, leading the Hibbogan to no longer smell them.

Meanwhile with the Cat Searching Team, they search for Mochi only to find him on top of a trash can. Mini-Max goes and tries to get him but Mochi climbs up a lamppost and jumps onto a bus. Fred decides to call Skymax so they can use their supersuits to catch Mochi.

Meanwhile in woods, Gogo’s ankle is still broken. Krei makes a brace for her out of twigs and leaves and it seems to work for Gogo. Krei says when he was a child his parents would ship him off to FireScout Camp during the summer and since he never made friends there he spent his time in the woods. The Hibbogan proceeds to go on a rampage near them and Krei asks if Hiro and Gogo trust him, Hiro saying yes. Krei runs off to do something as the Hibbogan tries to attack Hiro and Gogo. Krei then comes in driving the van and create enough dust that it would blind the Hibbogan long enough that Gogo and Hiro can go in and they can escape. They drive out the woods but the Hibbogan jumps onto a passing truck to chase them. Meanwhile, Baymax, Mini-Max, and Fred find Mochi on top of the bridge, which they never name officially yet. Hiro notices Fred, Baymax, and Mini-Max and Fred warns Hiro that the Hibbogan is behind the van. This was for nought as the Hibbogan jumps onto the van. Krei stops the van abruptly throwing the Hibbogan off as they start a traffic jam. Baymax, Mini-Max, and Fred confront the Hibbogan . Mini-Max attempts to attack him only to be thrown off the bridge, prompting Fred to attack it. It attempts to throw Fred off the bridge but Mini-Max comes and saves him. Right before the Hibbogan attacks Gogo, Hiro, and Krei, Mochi jumps onto the Hibbogan and attacks it, knocking the chip off of him in the process and demutating him. Ned appears to not remember anything about what happened. Meanwhile, Hiro talks to Krei and apologizes for misjudging him, and Krei decides not to destroy the woods.

Fred, Baymax, and Mini-Max return to the Lucky Cat Cafe with Mochi and we get to see how Baymax and Mini-Max act on low battery. Gogo and Hiro return Ned to his treehouse and Ned realizes that their car is still working. He runs into his treehouse as Hiro analyzes the patch that came off of Ned. Ned realizes Bessy is gone and screams in anguish.

Meanwhile at Sycorax, Liv and Chris have Bessy in a containment field. Liv breaks Bessy apart revealing a mass that is shooting some sort of laser, Liv explaining that when she’s done with Bessy, Bessy will be beautiful.

REVIEW

This episode was definitely better than the first Muirahara Woods episode. I found some parts exciting but otherwise there were some portions that I found boring. And we get more insight into Liv’s plan. Also Chris was made in a genetic lab. Fascinating. 7/10
