Hoshi walks into the campus library. It’s far more spacious than he expected; he’s not sure if he remembers the last time he was there. According to Woozi, you’re brilliant; A walking encyclopedia of worldwide knowledge rolled into a short, freckled kissed woman. Oh, additionally, he emphasized that your glasses are fucking huge.

Friday 5:59 P.M

Hoshi has long since zoned out on his phone waiting for you. It’s not until he hears a high-pitched voice ask him, “Hi! Are you Hoshi by chance?”

Holy shit; apparently, Woozi neglected to mention that you are stunningly gorgeous. You were small as he noted before; your oversized strawberry milk sweater with a white pleat skirt that ended below your knees highlighted it. He left out your sweet, round face and doll eyes. The shiny curly hair that fell onto your face in small sections. The one thing Woozi did properly prepare him for was your glasses; They were massive. The lenses were round and thin; they went past your eyebrows making your face look mousy. He stutters,

“Y-yeah.”

You give a wide smile showing off the sizeable gap between your front teeth.

“Perfect! I’ll be your tutor.”

Friday 6:15 P.M.

After introducing each other and making small talk, you get Hoshi on track.

“So, you have to write a paper for English 101?”

He nods his head as he looks at your tinted lips. He doesn’t know how to describe it, but you look smart; as if you should be in a lab with those uncomfortable goggles and a white lab coat mixing chemicals. You looked like you should be telling him what to do. Something about that intelligence radiating off you made him incredibly horny.

“Well, I want to write about tigers—“

“That’s a wonderful place to start! Since tigers are a broad topic we should narrow it down. We could talk about the evolution of tigers from miacids and what that tells us about their current survival needs. Or you could focus on tigers in the media and by extension their symbolism in the broader world. Like how, as one of the larger big cats they’re seen as feminine because of the general idea of feline equaling femininity and mystery. Except for lions, but that’s another topic in and of itself. Sorry, I’ve rambled.”

You look down at your MacBook while clearing your throat. You push your round glasses up back to your eyes as you let out a frustrated sigh.

“Yeah, this paper should be pretty simple to write. I’ll help you.”

“I need you to fuck me on this table right now.”

You almost spring up from the table in shock.

“Jesus! We’re in a library, so don’t be so puerile!”

You slowly bring your head up as you grab onto his arm like life armor. You wheeze and giggle your response, “I’ve never—oh shit, had a guy—so brazen! I’ve had interested people, but never to this extent!”

Hoshi blushes a deep pink as he looks at you.

-Takes a little while (think 4-5 months) for him to learn to tolerate the cat, and nearly double that time for him to accept it as part of his life, which is understandable, considering that he's practically a cat himself.

-He'll let you pick the first name, but he chooses the surname (yes, your cat has a surname), and it's something remarkably humanoid. Imagine explaining to the vet that your cat's name is Sparklepaws Pembleton-Clark.

-Once he gets used to the feline, he'll start seeing it as his sibling. He will have full on conversations with the cat, ones that are very serious and not at all baby talk. When the cat wants to eat, a conversation like this might take place:

"Good morning/afternoon/evening, Pembleton-Clark, what would you prefer for your meal today?"

"Meow."

"Ah, cat food, a fine choice. Please be seated and I shall deliver your food presently."

"Meow."

"You're very welcome. Have you read the paper, by the way? I heard there was a sale on feline litter at the local supermarket."

-Will play with the cat and tickle it; occasionally can be spotted on the couch with the fluffy fur-baby in his lap, stroking and petting it while watching TV or reading.

-Basically, the pet is family, once he gets used to it.

-Loves the cat the minute you bring it home. He'll pick it up and carry it around, cooing at it like it's a baby.

-INSISTS upon naming it; your cat is officially called Her Divine Majesty Emperess Gen-Gen II, and there is nothing you can do to change that.

-Pampers the cat, giving it baths every month and grooming it as well as keeping its claws trimmed and it's fur nice and shiny.

-Sometimes he even ties it's fur up into little pigtails and decorates it with hairclips before taking pictures of it and sending them to you.

-Coddles the cat, spoiling and playing with it whenever he can. He sees your pet as an extension of himself, and therefore treats it the way he wants to be treated. (Lavishly)

-Adores the cat and always will, just as he adores you.

♧Angeal♧

-Angeal is the embodiment of the dad who says "We're not getting a cat" and then proceeds to adore and spoil the cat like a young child. He was against getting a pet, but then saw the fluffy little thing you pointed to and just caved.

-Lets you name it because he doesn't care what it's called. Unless you named it after yourself. Then he can't even look at it without tearing up.

-Is a true tsundere towards that cat, always giving it the side eye; regarding it with cold professionalism. But deep down, he loves that furry thing and will definitely let it sleep on the bed with him.

-Buys it toys and those little tree jungle gym things, as well as treats. As stated before, he keeps a cold front but truly adores that kitty.

-Will let it sit in his lap while he does paperwork, and sometimes even brings it to Shinra with him. (everyone gets jealous and always wants to pet it)

-All in all, loves that furry cutie, even when it scratches up the furniture and tears up his socks.

☆Reno ☆

-He and the cat eyed each other at the pet shop for 10 full minutes before he agreed to taking it home. Reno has had experience with cats, having owned one himself before, and knows exactly what kind of trouble they are.

-Very suspicious of the cat for the first several weeks but soon eases into its company, once he's sure it won't tear up his stuff. He soon goes from uncomfortable and jittery to relaxed and loving.

-He'll pet the cat, feed the cat, play with the cat, and even eat with the cat. He'll literally have a cat food bowl and a highchair set up so the cat can eat at the table like a human. It's the most adorable thing ever.

-Once he and the cat have bonded enough, he decides to make it his partner in crime. He'll try to train it by giving it treats whenever it knocks over a specific object, except the cat gets the wrong idea and thinks it'll get a treat whenever it knocks stuff over, so Reno has essentially turned your cat into a furry wrecking ball.

Her first ever Pokémon game she played was X and Y, she played with Anthony on his 3DS. He let her make all the fun decisions and said Chespin reminder him of her. It's so cute! It made her so happy!

So, in their first game the player was Hazel, and the starter was the Chespin named Nut. That way, they together made, "Hazelnut"!

She really likes the normal colors of it, but she's always wanted to find a shiny one. It looks so cool! Especially when fully evolved. Though, she's unsure over if she would actually ever want to evolve such a special Chespin.

_ Umbreon _

The first Pokémon game he played was Pokemon shield, when that was new.

He was happy for it.

He got to route 4 and wanted to catch a Pikachu, but when he ran towards it, an Eevee popped up right in front. Making him loose the Pikachu.

At first he wanted to kill- faint it. Like revenge, but then when it was in the red, he thought, why not? If it was though enough to survive his attack, them maybe it could be a valuable member of his team?

So he made it a part of his team, named it "Survivor", not the most creative, but it fit.

It fit really well actually.

At one point he had sent it out like fodder, just spam sand attack until so he could prolong the inevitable. But, the moves, they kept missing, like they couldn't even touch his Eevee. It was pretty cool actually.

So, he actually tried to attack, he needed two more hits. Survivor was in the red, but so was the other party. If the attacks missed, he'd win, if they didn't, he'd lose.

He won.

He actually won.

He was so happy!!

It had been such a hard fight. He hadn't been prepared at all.

So, of course he was happy he won.

He was so happy he almost missed that Survivor was evolving.

It was pretty late.

When he saw it.

It was perfect.

Survivor looked so cool!

After that, Umbreon became his favorite and the more he learns about Umbreon the more he likes it. Just the simple fact that the yellow rings on it glows, it makes him happy. He likes to imagine having Survivor light up the room and helping him through the night.

Like his own special little night light.

Not- Not that he'd need a night light.

He's a big boy. He's strong.

It's just- It would be cool to have a real Umbreon by his side. Like, who wouldn't want a cool Pokemon by their side?

Is a hard one, feels like they would like most that one may consider "cool". Though, if there was a choice to be made, Archeops is a pretty good contender, along with Gigalith.

I imagine that their favorite generation would be gen 5.

I imagine she might have gotten an GBA or DS from a cousin or similar, with Pokemon dungeon, were she got skitty as her main. She can be a bit hasty at times after all. Her second favorite is Pikachu, as that was her partner

Well, Dev choose Umbreon, so it would only be fitting for Peri to choose Espeon. Plus, it's pretty purple, just like him. (No, it's not pink, you're blind)

Well, nither of them really know too much, but they've seen some images of the creatures and they have pointed out some that they like.

For Cosmo, Politoed

It's just- Hard to say for sure, but it just called to him when he saw it and he decided right then and there that Politoed was his favorite. He has not relented yet, though, he does agree with Wanda that her's is pretty cool too.

It looked intimidating and when Hazel explained how hard it was for her to beat. She couldn't help but feel like it was a good one. Always nice to be able to give the kids a nice challenge.

Another adorable abomination: Here is my idea of what a Pokémon trainer Ralsei would look like:

I based Ralsei on the "Friendly Rival" Type. My main inspiration for his design here was Wally (and Ralts).

While friendly Rivals also can have a full Team. Here I took more inspiration from the XY friendgroup, and only gave Ralsei 4-5 Pokémon.

Since Ralsei is a friendly Rival, he gets the weaker starter Pokémon. Kris already got Dewott, so Ralsei gets Servine. The Snivy Line has a royalty theme, plus with Servine being a grass type, you also have sort of a connection to Flowers. Furthermore, since Ralsei also has "Devine" attacks, it rather fits name wise, and choosing the middle stage is representative of the gang being in their teens. I had a special thought for Ralsei having a starter though. The starter your rival picks is dependant on your choice, so initially Ralsei just picked Snivy because the protagonist chose Tepic. Ralsei did this to please the programm so to say (something he tends to do), while Kris might've had no choice, but at least they now have the upper hand over them.

Next is the goat Skiddo. The reason for Skiddo is relatively simple and obvious, but Skiddos are also the first pokémon that lived together with humans, which would fit the darkner theme. They can sense it's trainer's emotions (in the anime at least) and are also seemingly willing to help out others if we extrapolate a bit. Also the pokémon that represents Ralsei in a more literal sense being a pokémon whose main use was being a vehicle is pretty fitting for Ralsei's "I have to be useful and serve others" complex

A pokémon I really want Ralsei to have is Eevee, because of it's evolution potential. Not only are Eevees fluffy boys 87,5% of the time, but Ralsei himself currently has to figure out who he is and who he wants to be, which is a great parallel to Eevee. I imagine his Eevee would be shiny, because of Ralsei being a darkner and having white fur.

Another pokémon I think Ralsei would have with a simple reason is Milcery, which famously evolves into a cake that changes it's design and flavour depending on how you decorate and turn your Milcary, which agin symbolizes Ralsei's journey of self discovery, and his love for cake.

Lastly, though Ralts was a very tempting option, I think Ralsei would have a Hattena or Hattrem (not completely sure).

Both Ralts and Hattena have the ability to sense emotions, the key difference though is that Hattena has a little pointy witch hat.

I jest but this is part of the reason I picked Hattena in the end.

No, the key difference is that while Ralts gets less shy when confronted with positive emotions, Hattena and Hattrem can't stand strong emotions, and preferr their surroundings to be calm. While Ralsei isn't allergic to other's emotions, he has trouble actually handleing them, as shown in the post Spamton Neo fight, or in how he handled the roaring. He doesn't know what to do about them, and his main strategy seems to be: "positivity=good, negativity=bad, so better stay positive and don't pay attention to the bad stuff", which isn't really helpful, and you could even argue that for a Kris that needs a different kind of comfort right now instead of just getting a "how about you just think about something else" is a pretty bad Hattrem-style slap in the face. (btw, I love Ralsei and I think his flaws make him a super interesting character, this isn't a front against him)

Other than that, I imagine Ralsei would want to have a Blissey someday, but I feel like he wouldn't have one yet, and I sadly couldn't really think of the right fire type for him, but maybe next gen, we'll finally get the fire fairy goat I always wanted.

1. Starter from the first gen: Charmander 🔥Charizard is one of my favourites for sure! Power and design wise top tier for me (so what if this is a generic answer bite me)

Starter from second gen: This is such a hard one.. Soulsilver is so dear to my heart I played RELIGIOUSLY and went through the game many times. I think I’ll go with Totodile 🌊 he’s never let me down 🫡 (I really love chikorita too ahh)

2. Alright this one took me awhile to figure out because I was going back and forth between Misdreavus and Umbreon but I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m actually Gothorita. No, I will not elaborate further

i just wanna say something: gen 6 was unbalanced. I agree, but think about it from the perspective of a literal child who was given a 3ds and a copy of X or Y.

-pokemon xy were the first mainline 3d pokemon game, so obviously it was never going to be perfect. the way that people immediately decided gen 6 sucked ass was quite dumb. honestly, children playing gen 4 found it difficult and the internet decides that's correct and the only way to view it.

-but gen 6, the game that so many small-ish children started with, isn't given any of the same chances. like on my first run on my old 3ds, im pretty sure i lost to diantha. sure it's easy, but not if you've never played a pokemon game before... that's how every game seemed to a beginner!

-and another thing! the EXP SHARE WAS OPTIONAL. IT WAS NEVER MANDATORY UNTIL LIKE LETS GO. so you can make it harder for yourself if your issue is exp related.

-ALSO there was solid postgame content! most people just assumed there wasn't any because it didn't start on its own. you actually had to play the game! surprising, am i right? there was a looker storyline with xerosic and a girl called emma! there was the whole anistar cutscene that lets you do the rest AND unlocks collecting mega stones at dusk!

-and xy also gave us so many beloved features, whether they stayed or not. the pss! that was the best! you had access to it off the bat! there's also pokemon aime which is where interacting with your pokemon outside of battle comes from! don't forget full customisation! better shiny odds.. friend safari.. PR VIDEOS? hello?

god i could just keep going! whilst almost all of this is partially based on nostalgia every other games popularity is the same.

i know how salty i come off as, but it's honestly my truth and also my opinion. like i know how easy xy are when you know what you're doing. but just remember: we were kids playing pokemon for the first time too. of course the game wasn't going to be difficult; it was, i suppose in some sense, an experiment.
