Back In Action
Tumblr media
DALL-E 2 Background (Prompt: Dreamy background painting with a checkered pattern grass and blue mountains in the distance), Emojis made for the SineTri Discord. Join us!
After a few months, I'm finally back doing this thing.
I'm back here probably cuz I do have a lot more to say than last time. Tumblr's embeds of posts don't seem to be very good, I've noticed. Oh well. Again you'll likely see me on that dreaded hellsite a lot more than here, but I'll still try to write here to maintain a tradition, and hopefully I won't be gone for too long again. Anyways here's what I've been doing lately.
New Computer
Tumblr media
Yeah!
Without giving away too much details as for how this happened, I indeed have a new computer (notebook, specifically, as I've been used to the form factor my whole life, probably) and probably the first time it is almost on par with the latest high end specs, and, no memes, it has an RTX graphics card. What else can I say about it... well, using it so far has been a positive experience for the most part, my only complaint would be how "not good" the trackpad is. Cuz you know, I actually got used to drawing with the trackpad (believe it or not) on my previous notebook, which is still a pretty good notebook that still works and can still do a lot (I was able to play and beat Super Mario 3D World emulated on it at almost full speed, so I think that says something) so I hope whoever uses it next makes a good use out of it. I'd say outside of being "mid" (that's the Funny Word Them Kid's These Dayz R Usein' Right) its only problem is its battery doesn't really work anymore so it'll only work while plugged in, which is probably completely my fault, so I'm hoping to avoid this issue on the new computer. (Tip: There's an useful VBScript you can get and put it on Windows' "startup programs" folder that will show a message whenever your battery is close to 100% charge. Google it!)
Trackpad issues aside, I still have a standard optical mouse to use, but even then, It's still gonna take getting used to... using one again. I'm weird.
Cut it Out, Ninjin! - Preservation Efforts (Post-Warner Bros. Discovery Fiasco Update)
Tumblr media
With all the clownery going down lately with the Warner Bros. + Discovery merger, the Ninjin cartoon series (my biggest "brainrot" of the year pretty much) unfortunately also fell victim to the "great cartoon purge" that happened as a result of WBD's terrible (and inefficient) cost cutting decisions. Fortunately, the timing for me to get into this series couldn't have been better, and at least the show staff got to finish a season right before the shitstorm, so finished material didn't go unreleased. That said we can only hope the series somehow makes a comeback or is revived in some form, as at least Warner doesn't own the Ninjin IP (as far as I'm aware).
With the series gone from HBO Max, YouTube and all of Cartoon Network itself (though not without a few exceptions still left here and there), it's important to remember that preservation is a must, and something to keep in mind from start to end in any project. Here's what a staff member at Birdo studio had to say on the matter (Portuguese):
for those who work on animated shows, for the love of god, don't forget to always keep a copy of the final versions of your scenes/episodes downloaded (and if you're the director, back up the entire series) cuz if we just rely on the son of a bitch companies and channels everything will be gone then we won't even be able to assemble an animation reel / portfolio afterwards
As I have shared in the first blog post, I have made an archive of pretty much all the CN Ninjin content that I could find, on a MEGA folder, which I've recently updated in light of the unfortunate news - Every episode is now available as MKV (Matroska Video) files with multiple audio channels (Original Portuguese, as well as the Spanish and English dubs!) which I plan to later still update to have English fansubs done by yours truly (So you don't have to stick to the... not very amazing English dub), you will also find the shorts (which I've already given subtitles!) and some comics too, which I still gotta translate.
I'll also make extra links for easier sharing soon.
We can't let the big corporations win again as they usually do.
You can buy Ninjin: Clash of Carrots (the game the series was based on!) on Steam here, and Pocket Trap's latest game, Dodgeball Academia, here!
Let's try to keep Ninjin alive. Please.

Do it for her.
Calimero Subtitles Project Returns
Tumblr media
After staying stagnant for at least 2 years, interest in subtitling Calimero's 1992 anime by Toei Animation (easily my favorite Calimero-related media) ressurged. Likely due to me... having figured out what an MKV file even is and what it can have, as well as coming across what is now my favorite software for subtitle making in general, SubtitleEdit (Not very creative, I know), and learning about the more advanced, fancy subtitle formats a good chunk of anime (fan)subs use. Also the project expanded a little; it's gonna be more than just the subtitles over a single specific dub of the anime, actually it'll have most of the dubs ever made of the show that can be found. A lot of audio tracks in still considerably small files! I sure do love me some Matroska files. The current plan is for me to subtitle the first half of the series (26 episodes, "season 1", if you will) all by myself, while the second half is a bit tricky, as only the German, Italian and Arabic dubs have the entire series found. But I already have a German friend willing to help with those, and there are also a couple episodes from the second half in the original Japanese version found, so if you're fluent in any of these languages and are interested in helping out, feel free to tell me! Once the project is finished we will finally have one convenient place to watch this series, in a variety of language dubs, and English subs, and hopefully more people in the West will acquire interest for it.
My Channel for posting Video Game Music, CalimeroVGM on YouTube
Tumblr media
Not "high quality rips" in the SiivaGunner sense, but actual VGM that either can't be found on YouTube elsewhere, or if it can be, the quality kinda sucks, or it's in a video with other tracks. I may have done a lot for SiivaGunner, and continue to do "high quality ripping" over on my music channel (ples suscribe), but I also have been contributing a lot to actual ripping and video game music preservation in general, and decided to make a channel dedicated to it (here), so I don't have to pollute my channel of miscellaneous whatevers, Lu9.2, which is already kind of polluted. So whenever I have any new rips, or even a few "experiments" with VGM, I'll put it on this relatively new channel. I encourage you to subscribe to it at least so I can get to 100 and get a custom URL, because I just am the weird kinda guy who likes neat looking URLs.
What I've Been Playing / Watching
Just in case people would want to know, I'd probably talk about it on Twitter anyways, but let's go:
Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series
Tumblr media
I love Klonoa. Babe, GIVE me Klonoa. Played the first game (original PS1 version) back in either 2015 or 2016, though I was already a fan for longer, but loved it. The remastered version is very charming and combines the best of both the original colorful PS1 version and the Wii remake. And with this I was finally able to experience the sequel for the first time, and again, a masterpiece. Wish they kept some of the classic UI for the first game and other minor details, but that aside, this collection needs to succeed. This franchise needs to succeed.
Lucky Star
Tumblr media
After giving up on watching it in 2015 (I was watching the English dub and didn't know what type of anime I was even expecting, Oops) I decide to give this another shot, this time subbed. What I can say is - I enjoy. It's fun. I guess my tastes have changed over the years too.
More Stuff
Moving (Again)
Seems like I do that a lot, but hopefully it'll actually stick now. Some unexpected problems rose in the current apartment I'm in. Nothing too serious (though it's only a matter of time) but the new place will be pretty big I think. I just hope I don't lose anything during the moving process again.
Fonts For Fun
Tumblr media
Sometimes I also try my hand at typography, mostly recreating stuff I see, and this year I've made a few (and posted some older ones I had) fonts just for the fun of it (though they probably are useful)
You can check them out here.
Where's Part 3 Of Closing Logos Extended By Jukebox AI?
Tumblr media
Not too long ago after releasing Part 2 of my intriguing Jukebox AI series, already some of the more "peculiar" logo-obsessed (presumably) children started to "predict" Part 3, some eben by just posting what will be on Part 3, conjuring up facts, classic Greeny Phatom style. Told that guy to wait until August.
...and I really wish I could keep such promises but I really just don't find the time and energy to put into those videos, not to mention the upsampling process that I still have to put some of the samples through. Though it's less time consuming now, there's still the entire editing and visuals part. I'm doing these videos completely for free, you know. Unless you're fine with something half-baked, be patient.
Also there will be more Jukebox AI videos in general, not just the logo ones, I hope you look forward to those too.
Donald Alves' Original Flash Website Is Now A Progressive Web App
Tumblr media
Yeah. Did this just for fun. And to see what kind of stuff I can do with PWA features in general. It's still not a full "installable" web app, but it should work as its own thing on your phone no problem. Don't know who Donald Alves is? Well, this is one of those things that you just had to be there at the time, dude.
Conclusion
That was a big one! Hopefully next post will come before Christmas. Maybe before Brazil's presidential elections too... oh god I'm scared

LEXX, I need HELP!!!!!
I want to participate in the Dannypokolypse this year, but I have no idea how to stick the Danny face onto things! Teach me your ways!!!!!
Omg I’m so glad you’ve asked!
So I don’t know about you, but I don’t have photoshop, and I’m on a Mac so I can’t even download bootleg photoshop for Windows!
Thankfully, there are still options for those of us who are sans photoshop and other art programs.
https://www.photopea.com/
^^this is the site I use to “photoshop” memes. It takes a minute to get used to if you’ve never used photoshop before, it’s not an exact replica of the real photoshop, but it’s close enough to where many of the controls are still the same so you can usually follow along pretty well in tutorial videos (I think it’s a rip of older photoshop codes).
For iphone users, I mostly stick to these two apps!
Tumblr media
Again, they’re not real Photoshop, they’re much more basic, but between Photoshop mix for placing objects in my pic, and PS Express for adding filters, I can pretty much get what I want out of an image!
For videos and gifs I use Final Cut which is not free unfortunately, and since I know someone will ask, for audio I use Logic Pro which is also not free.
This ended up being a pretty long post so my mini lexx meme tutorial for editing photos is under the cut!
Okay so I’m gonna edit a Dannypocalypse meme on photopea!
I hope it’s obvious to you but in case you don’t know, I am NOT a professional, this will NOT be a very detailed tutorial, it’s just how I go about doing basic dannypocalypse photoshop memes!
First thing’s first, I’m gonna download this face:
Tumblr media
Which already has a transparent background! Nice!
Next I’m gonna find an image I want to edit.
Tumblr media
So I found this image of someone peeking behind a curtain I thought could be funny. So I need to edit this image so Danny’s face is behind the curtain and the guy’s hand.
So first I’m going to layer the Danno face on the image and position it the way that I think it should fit.
Tumblr media
So at this point I think the correct procedure is you’re supposed to cut out the parts of Danny’s face that should not be visible. But the way that I do it—and this might be kinda weird idk it’s just how I go about it—is I’ll actually add the first picture on top of Danno again to make a sandwich:
Tumblr media
And then I right click and raterize the top image, click on the lasso select on the left side toolbar, and start cutting out any parts that I want Danny to be behind.
Tumblr media
Again, I’m fairly certain that this is not in fact the best way to go about this, It’s just the way that I personally find easiest.
So yeah I pretty much just zoom in really really close, and then go ahead and outline and delete chunks at a time that I want Danny’s face to peek through.
There are a few different kinds of select tools you can play around with. Mix and match, if you will.
Once that’s done you’re pretty much done! If you want, you can play around with lighting and effects to help him blend better or to add to the ✨ambiance✨, but I’m tired so I think I’m gonna call it right there!
And voila!
Tumblr media
Here is my finished danno behind a curtain. Again, this is not actually good photoshop advice. It’s just for the dannypocalypse!
Have fun!

(Google translated)
Dan Stevens, who grew up in Wales and south-east England, spent his summer holidays at the National Youth Theater at the age of 15, and he was drawn to the stage while studying English in Cambridge. Since his big breakthrough as Matthew Crawley in the hit series “Downton Abbey”, he has also repeatedly appeared in films such as “Inside Wikileaks - The Fifth Force”, “At Night in the Museum: The Secret Tomb” or “Beauty and the Beast” . Most recently, Stevens played the Russian Schnösel singer Lemtov in the Oscar-nominated comedy “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga” from Netflix. At the beginning of June, the German film “Ich bin dein Mensch” by Maria Schrader celebrated at the Summer Berlinale Premiere, which starts on 1.7. comes to German cinemas regularly. Stevens plays the role of a love robot in it. Unlike on the screen, however, the 38-year-old prefers to speak English in the zoom-conducted interview. He chose a brick wall with a lion motif as the digital background. No allusion to the song “Lion of Love” from “Eurovision Song Contest”, but a photo of the famous Ishtar Gate in Berlin’s Pergamon Museum, where “I am your human” was filmed last summer.
Mr. Stevens, in your new film “I am your human” you play a humanoid robot that is entirely geared towards fulfilling the romantic needs of a skeptical scientist. You yourself recently described the film as “delightfully German”. How did you mean that?
I wanted to say that here pretty big questions - such as what actually makes a person or how much perfection love can take - are negotiated in a very light-footed, elegant and sometimes humorous way. In my experience that is a very German quality. At least I have often seen with many of my German colleagues and friends that they are very good at not discussing difficult issues exclusively deadly serious and melancholy.
Where does your personal connection to Germany and the German language come from?
My parents had friends who lived in Bielefeld and we used to visit them in North Rhine-Westphalia during the school holidays. Traveled from England by car! That’s how I learned a little German as a child, and later I learned it as a subject at school. I even did a short internship there through our friends in Bielefeld. I really love the language. Funnily enough, I was later able to use my knowledge of German professionally, because my first film was “Hilde”, in which I was next to Heike Makatsch played the British actor and director David Cameron, who was married to Hildegard Knef. After that, I always hoped that there might be another chance to speak German in front of the camera, because playing in a foreign language is an exciting challenge. When the chance arose to shoot “I am your person”, I could hardly believe my luck.
Did you know the director Maria Schrader who gave you this chance?
Funnily enough, when the script for the film landed on my table, I had just watched the Netflix series “Unorthodox”, which she directed. I had also watched a few episodes of “Deutschland 89”. In general, I knew that she was a great German actress, not least because friends who knew their way around the German theater scene often raved about her. Working with her was a joy now. Her understanding of actors is quite instinctive and brilliant. I have seldom seen someone who can help an actor who is having difficulties with a scene with such simple means.
The fact that you had already seen “Unorthodox” shows, of course, how quickly “I am your person” must have been implemented in the past year …
Oh yes, that was really quick. In March I was still in New York and was about to premiere a new play on Broadway. But then the pandemic came, everything was canceled and I flew back to my family in Los Angeles. A few weeks later, Maria and I met each other via Zoom - and shortly afterwards I was sitting outside in a café in the Berlin June sun for the first time in months to discuss the upcoming shoot with her. That was pretty surreal because I hadn’t actually left the house since March.
Is it correct that you oriented yourself to Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart to portray the romantically programmed robot Tom?
In any case, these were role models that Maria and I spoke about. When you think of the game between the two of them, you always see an enormous clarity and directness. Cary Grant, for example, was always quite funny, especially in his romantic roles, but also flawless in an almost artificial way from today’s perspective. I found that very suitable for a robot. Apart from the fact that the ideas that Tom and his algorithm have of romance and love are certainly also shaped by the classic romantic comedies from Hollywood. Oh, the woman is sad, so I’ll bring her flowers! Such automatisms from the stories from back then were very appropriate for Tom now.
Keyword role models: Who shaped you in your career as an actor?
There were of course many. Jimmy Stewart was certainly something of a role model. My mom and I watched a lot of his films when I was little and I was always impressed by the kind of sweet tragedy that went into all of his roles. But maybe Robin Williams’ work influenced me even more. I always found the incredible variety of his films remarkable. He could make his audience laugh hysterically like no other, but also move them to tears in other roles. I always wanted to emulate this range.
In fact, the range of your roles is enormous and ranges from the Disney blockbuster “Beauty and the Beast” to a comic adaptation in series format such as “Legion” to bulky independent films such as “Her Smell” or the horror thriller “The Rental “, Which we just released on DVD. Is there a method behind this diversity?
Not in principle. I like variety, but I’m not just looking for roles that are as different as possible from one another. Rather, there are always similar factors that I use to select my projects. Sometimes there is a certain director that I really want to work with. Or the role itself is irresistible because it presents me with acting challenges. And sometimes a script is just fantastically written and I am interested in the topics it is about. With “I am your person” it was definitely the latter, especially since the timing was just right. In 2020 there were so many societal questions that ultimately touched the core of human existence. Such a script, which deals with something very similar in a light-footed way, was just fitting.
A few years ago you said in a questionnaire from the British Guardians that your greatest weakness was not being able to make up your mind. So every time you are offered a role, do you ponder whether you should accept?
No, no, when a script appeals to me, it actually does it very quickly. It’s such a gut feeling. If I’m unsure and skeptical, that’s a good indicator that this is not the right thing for me. That with the difficulty in making decisions related rather to something else. For example, it takes me forever to order in a restaurant because I can never decide what on the menu appeals to me the most.
You became famous with the role of Matthew Crawley in the series "Downton Abbey”. Did you immediately suspect at the time that something big was going on?
At first we were all pretty clueless. There are really many British history series, and we were one of them. When the first season aired in the US and was a huge success there, it was pretty unexpected. I never expected the impact the series would have on my career.
Barely ten years later, are you still being asked about the role?
Oh yes, regularly. Probably nothing will change about that either. I got out after three seasons!
In the meantime, however, the flamboyant Russian singer Alexander Lemtov from “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga” should also be a character with whom you will be immediately associated, right?
Right, it has been mentioned more and more recently when people recognize me on the street. This charming, silly film obviously had a nerve with the audience last year in the middle of the corona pandemic. Especially since the real Eurovision Song Contest had been canceled.
The film was the number one topic of conversation on the Internet for a while - and Lemtov GIFs and memes were everywhere. Did you follow that?
It was really hard to avoid it. I wasn’t looking specifically for what people were posting. But of course my friends passed a lot on to me, and there were already some very funny Lemtov things. But he’s also a figure made for GIFs.
Another question every British actor under 40 has to put up with these days: Would you like to become the next James Bond?
Oh, of course, everyone gets to hear this question again and again who meets certain criteria. But it is completely hypothetical. Although a few years ago I read in an audio book by Ian Fleming’s “Casino Royale”.
You mentioned earlier that you and your family have lived in the United States for a long time. How big is your homesickness?
I actually feel very comfortable in Los Angeles. But every now and then I miss the sidewalk culture of European cities. People on foot, street cafes, things like that. Last year the longing for it was particularly great, although it was of course clear to me that there was a state of emergency in Europe too. In any case, I found myself reading books that were set in Europe and made me homesick. Which is why the unexpected trip to Berlin was really a boon.
You are also an avid cricketer. That’s certainly difficult in Los Angeles, isn’t it?
There are quite a few cricket clubs here. The only problem is that the few people who do the sport here are so good at it that I have problems keeping up. That’s why I always lose sight of the matter here a little. Even as a pure TV viewer, it is not easy to stay on the ball, because of course there is no cricket broadcast here at prime time. But as soon as I’m home in England in the summer, I really want to play again!

The (Unneccessary) Lore of the WG Spanish Dubs
Aka me being like this meme for an entire post
Tumblr media
OKAY so a couple of weeks ago I had just learned that there existed a Spanish version of Wordgirl called “La Chica Supersabia” which is honestly super cool cause who doesn’t wanna hear their show in a different language?
But alas, this ended up taking me into a much deeper rabbit hole than I was expecting and it’s honestly pretty interesting so I thought I’d share it with y’all!
DISCLAIMER: I am not an expert by any means nor do I intend to come off as one, this is simply an elaborate essay of what I’ve found through my informal research. I will also be translating anything in Spanish to the best of my extent, so I apologize if I mess up a bit with the wording since it’s not my native language.
So then *places a baseball cap with glued lightbulb on my head* let’s get started shall we?
Okay so first things first, there are a couple of select episodes of La Chica Supersabia (I’ll use LCS from here on) available on the internet. The most reliable source that I’ve found is on an old Facebook account here where a fan would upload LCS episodes based on when they aired. However, the only episodes available are a select few from season one.
Now this got my mind thinking “Hey, what if there’s more episodes?” So naturally, I started scoundering on Google (like the rat I am) to see if there was indeed more. And according to this one site there are only two seasons of LCS that were dubbed.
Tumblr media
Translation: In Latin America, the first season premiered on Discovery Kids August 3, 2009, while the second season premiered on the same channel January 11, 2010, being the only two seasons issued. (Source)
However, later on I discovered that there was some mislead in that info because someone else found a Spanish episode that was from season 3, which doesn’t make sense because why would there be another season available when it clearly says that they technically shouldn’t exist? (Btw I tried finding it myself cause I did see that episode before but for some reason now I can’t find it dhdvvdbdvd 😭)
At first I thought maybe this is just some info added from a fan. After all, that statement was posted on a Spanish Wikipedia page so it is possible. So I began looking for other articles that talked about the Spanish dubs, but they all said the same thing. Well, until I came up with this site that said two very intriguing things:
Tumblr media
Translation: The series actually had 3 seasons and is dubbed in Caracas, Venezuela. On May 2012 the series stopped running on daytime hours and was removed from the programming one year later, on June 17, 2012. It is unknowns if it will be aired by another channel or come back to the Discovery Kids programming, besides only the two first seasons were dubbed in Spanish. (Source)
I was a little bit confused here with the wording because it still didn’t confirm my original questions; if anything it left me with more. But then I read the next section below which got me completely off track.
Tumblr media
Translation: The series received negative critics and complains on behalf of parents of families in Latin America that claimed that it wasn’t appropriate for the objective public of Discovery Kids. Without doubt in the U.S. the series had been well received and even won an Emmy award for Jack D. Ferraiola, writer and coproductor of the series together with the creator of the same show, Dorothea Gillim, who declared the following in respective to the series: (Source)
Now this one took me by a whirlwind: WTH why was this version hated by people in Latin America while it’s adored by everyone in the U.S.?? And I watched some episodes of LCS and while the dubbing is pretty funny (lol) there wasn’t anything inappropriate about it. For the most part they stuck on script with the original episode they had to dub.
So I dove even deeper...
And o h m y g o d there is an answer to this.
Tumblr media
Translation: The program premiered in Latin America on August 2009 on the Discover Kids channel, aiming at pre schoolers. Although the channel gave a lot of promotion for the show during the final months of 2009 and the majority of 2010, at the end of the year they decided to change the programming to nighttime hours because the show received a lot of critics from parents saying that the show was too “violent” and that it encouraged kids to lie to their parents (due to the obvious fact that Becky had to give an excuse everytime she had to leave to turn into WordGirl and save the day), and they complained constantly on the message boards now deleted of the channel. The program was eliminated completely on June 2012, without doubt, PBS maintained the Spanish dubs so that they would use for SAP (Second Audio Program) in the U.S. in a different studio (Dubbing House in Mexico and later Lorry Post in Miami, FL), but the program no longer returned to Discovery Kids until August 2014. (Source)
And DUDE no y’all this was just a complete hilarious yet ridiculous slap to the face. I mean..what the, why was that the reasoning as to why it was hated so much? Just cause of some literal PG kid friendly cartoon violence? And what do parents mean when they say it teaches them to lie to their parents?? I mean with all due respect, who was Discovery Kids target audience they had in mind vs. what it actually was? Because if there actual audience was very very young kids, they okay sure I can understand the need to point fingers at them in that sense. But if it was for slightly older kids (8-10 years old), then I think that parents can probably show kids at that age the reasoning behind why Becky lied in the show (not to mention that most kids at that age can understand what’s going on for the most part).
“Now is this actually true?” some of you may ask, which is understandable since this is coming from a wiki page. Well, I think it’s about time I put another disclaimer: sadly for the most part, the majority of these sources that I’ve attached have broken links when it comes to their references. And the ones that aren’t broken don’t mention anything about the topics that have been discussed here. But there are some smaller sources I’ve found here (look at the last three comments) and here that do indeed confirm that the show was canceled due to the force of parents.
However, the current grey area I’m in still is on the Spanish dubbing listing. See, I originally thought that there were three different dubbings according to this one post below (M&M Studios, Dubbing House and Lorry Post). I even thought I cracked it since according to this chart below the rest of the seasons were under the Dubbing House studios! However, it turns out that one of the studios Lorry Post doesn’t actually exist. Like nothing related to dubbing came up at all when I searched it up.
Tumblr media
Translation: Dubbing Studio 1 - M&M Studios (Seasons 1-2). Dubbing Studio 2 - Dubbing House (Seasons 3-8). Dubbing Studio 3 - Lorry Post (Season 8 - final episodes). (Source)
And then that’s when I took a harder look at this website and realized that it’s part of a Spanish Wiki page called “Propuestas de Fans de Doblaje” (Fan Proposals for Dubs). *insert facepalm emoji* And just...I honestly feel so dumb that I didn’t notice that detail when I did my initial research cause that would’ve saved me a lot of time 😤. Anywho so that explains the Lorry Post mystery, but then lies the other question: do the other dubs exist?
Well, this is where I draw the line. See, on that same wikipage, it mentions that LCS had completely different voice actors for each of the dubbings. The first dub (M&M) is from Venezuela and after looking at the VA’s, they can be traced back to LCS. But after looking at the VA’s for the second dub (Dubbing House) in Mexico, there is nothing related to them and LCS or WG. Not even on movie databases.
“Now are you gonna give up on this idea?” you may ask. And the answer is......
No.
Why? Well, it’s mainly because there is a compellingly set of evidence that proves that the first two dubs do actually exist, which is...
undefined
youtube
THIS VIDEO, which shows that there were not one, but two variations of the LCS Spanish theme song. The first one is the Spanish version, and the second one that plays is the Venezuela version. And if you can remember, there were 2 dubbings of LCS; one located in Mexico (Dubbing House) and another In Venezuela (M&M Studios)!
Anywhosole, that is where I conclude this elaborate essay of mine. There are still a couple of loose strings here and there that I wanna check out myself but I’ve already tired myself out with this essay. I hoped you liked seeing me lose my mind speculate on the LCS episodes! This was honestly pretty fun ngl, maybe I’ll try doing this again in the future if something else interesting pops up! If you have anything you wanna add or maybe point out something that I may have forgotten, please by all means bring it up!

How It all Started, MIDIs are FUN
Hi, I’m VGMRUS aka Video Game Music Rips with Unrelated Soundfonts from youtube, as you might imagine the channel is all about ripped videogame songs with, well, unrelated soundfonts, but because that is only a name there’s also some covers and even some famitracker.
How this all started? Back in 2015 with MIDI M E M E S, specifically midi memes from Vinesauce Joel from Windows 8 destruction, he used a converter that “““converted”““ mp3 into a midi, if you know anything about midis you know why you can’t just convert a mp3 into midi since midi is kinda like a music sheet. Basically these memes about midi spiked my interest about them so I learned a bit about them and, one day I searched a bunch of midi versions of videogame songs I liked and made myself a “small” midi colection of about 50 midis (currently at 478 lol) that I renamed with the format that I’m still using today of (“nameofthegame/saga” “name of the song”), I downloaded Virtual Midi Synth and the first soundfont I could find (aka fluidr3 as recomended by VMS maker).
I liked it, it was cool
But
there was something off... something about these midis...
there was something off about some of these midis that didn’t sound quite like the original, some where really weird and bad remixes that I didn’t like
Now back then I had practically 0 music knowledge except from some Famitracker and audacity “knowledge” some months before I had from making a bunch of gameboy covers
But I knew midis were editable, so I downloaded a program called Mixcraft 7 because I saw it being used by Vinesauce Joel and he recomended it throughly and I knew it could open midis, a DAW or Digital Audio Workstation, oh god it looked very complicated, the first midi opening of an random internet fan made midi probably was only to look how the program looked and taking a look at the menus and that short of thing and how it sounded of course.
Now eventually I discovered my first midi ripper, I heard that it extracted the data straight from the rom into a midi file, which sounded AMAZING having the song sound exactly like the original because the midi uses the same data or music sheet as the original.
This ripper was GBAMusRipper, a game boy advance ripper that works on gba titles with the sappy engine,it rips all the midis of a gba rom and you can also rip the soundfont and if you play the output midis with that ripped soundfont it will sound exactly like the original but higher quality,
The output midis are NOT general midi so if you play them with a general midi soundfont they will sound awful because you need to change the instruments manually into an equivalent general midi instrument by hearing the original channel and then comparing it with the midi rip version figuring out which general midi instrument you should put
I’m not exactly sure what I tried to extract into midi first but it was either Mother 3 or Phoenix Wright 1
What I do know is that the first rip that I ever converted “sucessfully” into a general midi was the allegro from Phoenix Wright 1
It was “sucessfully” and not sucessfully because it got issues, back then I barely knew any instruments from the general midi set, specially since they were in english and in case you haven’t noticed yet It’s not my first laguage, of course I knew what a piano and a trumpet was, but I didn’t know the difference between a bass and a brass, thus in this midi what should be the bass is actually a synth brass which it’s pretty funny now that I know and I noticed it, you could say they are similar, but they really aren’t really...
Basically I was testing every general midi instrument against the original song instrument and I was trying to put the most similar sounding general midi instrument, I still do this nowadays, I recommend recording all the original music channels individually so you can compare with the midi easily, the diference is that back then I had no idea how most instruments sounded so I was literally trying every general midi instrument on the list until hopefully the original instrument sounded like the midi one, also back in the day I didn’t really record the channels separately, I’m pretty sure I would just play the original midi and it’s soundfont from the original game in a midi player and mute all but 1 channel which meant that the original wasn’t reproducible directly on the DAW mixcraft nor was it in sync with the midi I was editing, so yeah it was pretty rough, but this start made me learn how most general midi instruments sounded which it’s pretty important, nowadays I can most of the time pinpoint which exact instrument it is by just how the original sounds.
Well that is the basic gist of it, get a ripper, get a midi from that ripper, record all the original game channels 1 by 1 to compare with ripped midi
(there are several ways to do this and it depents on what system you wanna rip, for gba the easiest is to just use the midi file converter from virtualmidisynth with the sounfont of the game ripped loaded and then throw the unedited ripped midi in there and hit the 3 arrows button to activate separate file per channel recording mode)
Just and use DAW of your choice to fix up that midi with the help of the original channels into a general midi compliant state and then you can play that midi with any general midi soundfont you want, with virtualmidisynth you can even change soundfonts meawhile the midi is still playing which is pretty fun.
If you read all that congratulations, you now kind of know how to rip a midi and make it general midi yourself, have fun with that, download 14 soundfonts and try them all!
This might or might not be the last post here, we will see if I have the will to write all this amount of text again
Cheers

Episode #83
WHAT THIS?
Tumblr media
Cape Feare Season 5 - Episode 2 | October 7, 1993 One of my all-time favorite episode from childhood! This was definitely my favorite episode up to this point. This is mostly a parody of Marty ScoreSaysHe parody of Cape Fear, which I literally never saw before maybe a year ago (Fun Fact: I have spent most of my life never having seen a single Marty movie. Not on purpose, but there came a point where I realized I somehow managed to never see a single one well into adulthood, and this revelation DID *sorta* make me resistant to seeing any, for no other perverse reason than it was a mildly unique trait I had; I broke my cherry on Goodfellas in the last few years... pretty good!!). I realize watching this now, Sideshow Bob really turns a corner here, officially becoming a revenge-fueled homicidal maniac, intent on murdering Bart just out of pure hatred. The classic era of the show tends to have him go back and forth in the severity of his villany, even appearing reformed at certain points. But this is the Sideshow Bob that we see during the post-classic episodes; he’s almost always cartoonishly homicidal, almost always trying to murder Bart. Even if that’s not what the episode is about, it’s always alluded to as if it’s fall-back position. This episode is pretty funny, but it’s not as funny as I remember. I think I liked how gag-heavy this one is, because in the early 90s I was obsessed with spoof movies. Take the last scene, and if you really wanna go deep, listen to the audio commentary for it on DVD. This was actually the final episode produced for season 4 and held-over. So, reportedly a lot of the gags that wound up in this show were typical of the type of gags that were regularly put in the storyboards and promptly deleted by producers seeking to keep the show grounded. The final scene where Bob performs for Bart’s final request, we see Bart holding a Playbill and a mysterious pair of flesh-colored hands hand Bob a bouquet of flowers from off-camera: two impossibilities that at this point in the show would never have made it. I seem to recall Matt Groening saying that everyone was tired and the more privileged members of the Simpsons staff went home early while the animators went buck wild without anyone to reign them in. Another thing about this show was that it ran short. The couch gag is the give-away, but there are so many gags with limited animation in this that may or may not have been created after the episode’s first record: Lisa receives a pen-pal letter from a third-world country experiencing a coup. The scene is accomplished with voice-over while the camera slowly zooms in on Lisa’s mostly-static, but concerned-looking face. Grandpa rambles on, and it just seems like a lengthened scene with recycled animation. And the gag that might be the most memorable of all: Bob steps on a lot of rakes. This scene goes on forever, and it’s really funny. But it goes on so long that my wife left the room during it and thought I paused the show for her. Anyway, this episode is super funny, and I’ll always love it. But it also makes e think of some moron on twitter who tried to meme the joke where somebody in the court remarks “no one who speaks german could be an evil man” with that screen and quote and adding “ain’t you heard of hitler tho?”, as if the show wasn’t making that joke already. Fucking IDIOT. STUPID. FUCKING STUPID IDIOT BITCH. THE B-SODE:
Tumblr media
Goof Troop: "Goof Fellas" Season 1 - Episode 58 | November 25, 1992 Goofy and Pete witness an attempted murder and get put in the witness relocation program! And the title parodies a Marty movie! How about that! Part of me wishes I didn’t limit the B-SODE to cartoons, so I could use that Fresh Prince of Bel-Air episode where Will is playing poker with his friends and tells a story about how he and his family were put in the witness relocation program and got tracked down by a scary mobster, only to reveal the whole story was just a gag. The punchline of the show is that jazzy jeff puts on a rubber mask of the scary villain and spooks Will at the end of the episode, which is bullshit because it’s impossible for there to be photographical specificity in a fake story Will was telling. Pissed me off. I guess I found a way to complain about it. Good.

Hi, what a long absence, I'm still alive, MPlayerX too. Now I'm planning some, relatively, big feature into MPlayerX for the next major release. It may cost some time. Before doing it, I thought I'd better release once. So actually 1.0.1 isn't a exciting release, just a little step forward. MPlayerX is armed by FFmpeg and MPlayer, which means it could handle any media format in the world without extra plug-ins or codec packages. Dance on your fingers. NOTE: The MPlayer App is optimised for iOS 7 or later.Download the MPlayer App free of charge before your next Monarch flight to enjoy our exciting.
It plays most MPEG/VOB, AVI, Ogg/OGM, VIVO, ASF/WMA/WMV, QT/MOV/MP4, RealMedia, Matroska, NUT, NuppelVideo, FLI, YUV4MPEG, FILM, RoQ, PVA files, supported by many native, XAnim, and Win32 DLL codecs. You can watch VideoCD, SVCD, DVD, 3ivx, DivX 3/4/5, WMV and even H.264 movies.
Another great feature of MPlayer is the wide range of supported output drivers. It works with X11, Xv, DGA, OpenGL, SVGAlib, fbdev, AAlib, DirectFB, but you can use GGI, SDL (and this way all their drivers), VESA (on every VESA compatible card, even without X11!) and some low level card-specific drivers (for Matrox, 3Dfx and ATI), too! Most of them support software or hardware scaling, so you can enjoy movies in fullscreen. MPlayer supports displaying through some hardware MPEG decoder boards, such as the Siemens DVB, DXR2 and DXR3/Hollywood+.
MPlayer has an onscreen display (OSD) for status information, nice big antialiased shaded subtitles and visual feedback for keyboard controls. European/ISO 8859-1,2 (Hungarian, English, Czech, etc), Cyrillic and Korean fonts are supported along with 12 subtitle formats (MicroDVD, SubRip, OGM, SubViewer, Sami, VPlayer, RT, SSA, AQTitle, JACOsub, PJS and our own: MPsub). DVD subtitles (SPU streams, VOBsub and Closed Captions) are supported as well.
What's New:
After a long pause, we decided that it might be a good idea to make a new release. While we had our fun with the naming scheme with lots of 'pre' and 'rc' it seemed time to move on and with everyone incrementing major versions between weekly and monthly we hope to be forgiven for jumping ahead to 1.1.
This release is intended to be compatible with the recent FFmpeg 0.11 release. We hope it will be useful to distros and other users relying on FFmpeg 0.11. Everyone else is encouraged to follow Subversion HEAD to always get the latest features and bug fixes. You might still want to read the release announcement to get a short summary of any bigger changes and improvements.
Mplayer For Windows 7
Among the bigger news is that we found a maintainer for the X11 gmplayer GUI, so those holding out on it against our earlier recommendations will get a lot of bug fixes.
There is also support for more subtitle types (Bluray, DVB, DVB closed-caption for example), many improvements to -vo gl including output of 10 bit video, very basic but usable OpenGL ES support and much better SDL support which makes it a usable choice on OSX (particularly on older PowerPC variants much faster than corevideo or quartz). MPlayer will now also try much harder to handle intermittent network failures, for example trying to reconnect.
As part of the code cleanup efforts, the internal libfaad2 copy has been removed since the FFmpeg decoder is working well. Also the internal mp3lib copy is no longer used by default since the many alternatives (FFmpeg, libmpg123, libmad) avoid its recurring issues like incorrect decoding with newer compilers. However it can still be forced at runtime for easier tracking of regressions. Please do not rely on this since it will be removed in the future. If you do not actually need it consider disabling it at compile time with --disable-mp3lib.
As a first for this release, the tarballs are available in two variants: compressed with xz and compressed with gzip. Please get the xz variant if you can to save bandwidth, the gzip version is for everyone that cannot use it. Should you never have encountered xz compressed files, newer versions of tar can uncompress it via 'tar xJf MPlayer-1.1.tar.xz'.
What's New:
Upgraded gcc to 7.3, enabled lto in FFMpeg
Enabled dash demuxer in FFMpeg
Enabled libopenmpt in FFMpeg
Updated gnutls to 3.5.18
Updated libvpx (git)
Updated openh264 (git)

I needed a simple command-ling media player, and this was perfect! Extremely lightweight and very versatile. I use it for some custom clip management and window capture for streamers to use when broadcasting using the OBS Studio streaming/broadcasting software on Twitch. I take chat commands that create a text semaphore/trigger file, and when the script sees the trigger, it uses this Mplayer utility to play. I am just doing this for fun, and to help streamers offer a little something extra. if a streamer wants to rotate 8 different 'Hug' clips when a viewer runs the '!hug @somename' command in chat, there should be a utility that can launch the clips when the commands are run, then rotate the clips so if 4 or 5 people use the 'Hug' command to hug each other, it doesn't just play the same clip over and over. The fact that you can title the player window allows a streamer to have a few different windows captures set up. Maybe 1 for fullscreen clips with a chromakey filter, a regular fullscreen clip fo speciual event clips, and maybe ones for subscriber 'intro clips' they use when they join chat to announce their presence in style. Maybe another for 'accent clips/memes', so users can add commentary by launching clips at proper moments, like a '!rip' command that plays a rotation of funny 'I'm dead' clips when the streamer dies playing a game. The streamer just ads these 3 or 4 window capture sources to each scene they want clips to be available, then the script/utility launches each clip with the appropriate window title to have it play at the right size and location. I'd love to see someone actualy do this properly. I have it all working. I just needed a 'lighter' player that was flexible enough to support all the different clip types. I was using VLC Media Player, but it did noy play smoothly, often hitching/lagging for a split second when launching clips, making it seems rough and 'unfinished'. This gives a smooth and polished feel when playing the clips.
This is awesome. No more need to fire-up some heavy graphical user interface just to listen to audio streams! (Sorry I couldn't do this, due to a complete lack of free time here!) The only thing lacking, instructions how to install mplayer.exe and instructions concerning how to use with Cygwin. Basically, the mplayer.exe goes within your $PATH. I'm not sure where the other sub-folders should reside, but I simply created a symbolic link using Cygwin for my usage here. (ie. See below Cygwin Instructions) Initial execution of mplayer.exe seemed to search all of Windows fonts. Successive exections of mplayer.exe appeared to forgo the font searching, resulting in the usual quick start of the program. For cygwin users: 1) Unpackage the mplayer package to a folder. 2) Start cygwin and make sure you have a local bin folder (ie. /home/user/bin) within your path. If not, create the folder and modify your local $PATH to include your /home/user/bin folder, replacing the 'user' with your user name. 3) Type 'ln -s /place/where/you/unpackaged/mplayer/mplayer.exe /home/user/bin/' 4) If you prefer using .exe' command suffixes or are required to, and you have 'mplayer' aliases within you Linux bashrc and are copying the Linux bashrc over to Windows' Cygwin, then open the bashrc file within vim and type ':%s/mplayer /mplayer.exe /gc' without quotes. The command will aide in replacing the 'mplayer ' with 'mplayer.exe '. Most Cygwin users can skip this as Cygwin seems to recognize commands without the '.exe' suffix!
Nice work ! Version 37051 has not any more WMV bug. Really nice Job ! Don't stop working on mplayer, i use it everyday for a project i'll publish soon... Thanks again ;)

New top story from Time: Teens Are Going Viral With Theatrical History Lessons on TikTok. These History Educators Are Thrilled.
It’s no surprise that teens are trying for their 15 seconds of fame via TikTok. After all, the short-form video program only allows in-app recordings of up to 15 seconds. But while users often gain millions of views on the social media app by participating in goofy memes and dances with popular background music, a new trend has emerged — and, shockingly enough, they are history reenactments.
Brooke Pavek, a 17-year-old high school senior from Jacksonville, Fla., is pretty sure she got a 100 on a Cold War exam in her International Baccalaureate history class. But this isn’t just any history student. Pavek has amassed more than 78,000 followers and 3.5 million “hearts” on TikTok by sharing her history knowledge in the form of funny, theatrical 15-second clips. And she’s using her notes from Advanced Placement (AP) history classes to make them.
Pavek is one of a group of teenagers doling out their own history lessons online. “I take a lot of notes from those classes to make the videos, trying to fit the audio to those topics, and those key ideas in order to basically help kids learn,” she says. Some of her TikToks were included in a viral Oct. 25 Twitter thread that highlighted some of the trend’s most popular snippets.
Pavek started her account to help other students study for AP classes (what’s a better mnemonic than one involving a hip-hop song?). Some historians and educators say they’re delighted to see kids clearly enjoying history class.
“In order to be this irreverent and this playful with a subject, you have to gain some mastery of it. So the hardest thing to do is to synthesize something — to summarize it in a sentence. And these teenagers have done it in 15 seconds. It’s not the whole story, but it’s certainly a really aggressive and exciting way to look at it,” says Alexis Coe, a historian and author of the forthcoming You Never Forget Your First: A Biography of George Washington.
Tumblr media
Courtesy Brooke PavekBrooke Pavek, a high school senior who uses TikTok for funny videos about history, dresses up as Maximilien Robespierre, an important figure in the French Revolution.
One of Pavek’s most popular videos tells the story of how the League of Nations, an international organization formed after World War I, began. “U.S. showing up to create the League of Nations,” reads the text flashing across the screen, as Pavek dances toward the camera. “The U.S. when France and Britain expect them to join the League,” comes next, as Pavek dances backward.
Of course, the video quickly aims to retell a much longer story. Though U.S. President Woodrow Wilson had first proposed the league in his January 1918 “Fourteen Points” speech for a vision of peace in Europe post-World War I, the U.S. never joined the league. (Those 14 points served as the basis of the Treaty of Versailles.) Wilson battled the Senate Majority Leader, Republican Sen. Henry Cabot Lodge, who was opposed to the League of Nations, and Congress never voted to join. “Most historians hold that the League operated much less effectively without U.S. participation than it would have otherwise,” according to the U.S. State Department’s Office of the Historian.
While a TikTok tells the story in simpler terms, Grace Leatherman, the executive director of the National Council for History Education says this interpretation of history is “as good as you can do” in a short clip, and it should inspire students to do more research on their own. “I don’t know how else you would explain the League of Nations in 15 seconds,” Leatherman tells TIME. “But that certainly shouldn’t be all a student learns about it. This is a helpful tool, it’s a great way to help summarize and identify some of these key things, but obviously we certainly want students going deeper.”
But where is the line between interpretation and inaccuracy? “That’s what we do with history, is to try to figure that out,” says Leatherman. “So I think that’s wonderful, if they make a TikTok that describes key ideals about a time in history, but I would want to make sure that student is also looking at a variety of primary documents.”
Beyond your textbooks, she recommends using the Library of Congress and National Archives Leatherman highlights the importance of using a variety of sources to learn about history to help your understanding of a subject.
One example of a video that shares key ideas of a subject, rather than a specific snapshot of a moment in history, depicts European settlers intruding on native peoples who are “minding their own business.” It’s one of Coe’s favorites.
Another viral TikTok hit focuses on the colonization of Africa, illustrating a complex topic — European imperialism — through different dance moves for different European nations. Sharoon Bi, a high school senior from Lincoln, Neb., demonstrates how European colonizers began to impede on the lives of Africans in the 1400s.
colonization of the continent of africa, 1400s pic.twitter.com/xZlFUPSnu7
— nadia jaferey (@nadiajaferey) October 25, 2019
While the video depicts Spain, Britain, Portugal and France all invading in the 15th century, history books tell a different story. Only the Portuguese invaded African nations in the 1400s. But the British, French and Spanish followed suit in the subsequent centuries. “By the early twentieth century, however, much of Africa, except Ethiopia and Liberia, had been colonized by European powers,” Hunter College Professor Ehiedu E.G. Iweriebor wrote in an essay for the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at the New York Public Library.
Bi, 17, didn’t realize that he’d gotten the dates wrong when he first posted the video. But he’s glad that commenters pointed it out. “I’m happy that they said it, because that let me know I should do more research,” he tells TIME. “For me, it was an actual learning experience.”
Despite the fact that historical accounts can inevitably can spark debates on the internet, both Coe and Leatherman had a lighthearted perspective on the videos — accurate or not. Coe says the overall point of the clip gets across so powerfully that it supersedes factual accuracy. “The message that he’s trying to communicate is really important here, and even in the act of fact checking what he’s saying, [students] are learning,” says Coe, who adds that these videos fill her with “pure joy.”
“This makes me so hopeful for the future,” she says.
The videos also demonstrate a student’s unique interpretation and understanding of history — and many history teachers nationwide are starting to use TikToks to assess students, according to Leatherman. TikTok is just one way “that students can show us what they know,” she says.
Pavek’s contemporary history exam on Thursday may not have happened through TikTok. But on Friday, as views continue to rise, she won’t be spending too much time on her phone. She’s headed to tour a college where she hopes to major in history, before getting her Ph.D.
Naturally, her dream job is to be a history professor.

Five keys to work-from-home fulfillment all through coronavirus times
You and your team are stuck at domestic - that’s the present day truth. By means of following these guidelines  Digital Marketing Company in Bristol you may increase everyone’s paintings-from-domestic (wfh) morale and productivity. Coronavirus wfh
Your clients don’t care in which you work
due to recent coronavirus revelations, it’s now not simply you that’s working from domestic (wfh); your complete group might also have long past remote. And pressure can simply accompany this transition. But in place of succumbing to fears and pulling inward, it’s time to push outward — with strong leadership and tight collaboration, even as additionally meeting your crew’s emotional wishes. In any case, your clients don’t care where you work, however how effective you're and the way you care for them. Do this properly and also you stay a market leader; flail at wfh and watch your clients bail. Fortuitously, with the latest proliferation of project management apps, and a few useful leadership, your team can still get its paintings achieved. And who knows, with fewer visible and social distractions you can even end up extra efficient remotely than in-character. Wfh management
key 1: lead proactively and flippantly
now, as a frontrunner of a advertising crew, it’s important to create clarity out of chaos. First matters first: decide that you’ll remain as calm as possible. If you’re not already cool in the face of crisis, you may make this manifest with the aid of:
 placing clean, prioritized desires
training mindfulness each day
committing to listening more than speakme
cautiously deciding on your mission leads
Tumblr media
regarding dreams, make sure you’ve reprioritized your organisation’s desires lately. Now more than ever it’s crucial to keep anyone’s minds and paintings priorities aligned. On the subject of fostering calm, i really like how former military seal (special forces) commander jocko willink put it: ‘calm is contagious.’ while coronavirus isn’t a physical battle, it’s an emotional struggle — a warfare towards fear, and the distraction, disorder and miscommunication that accompany it. If you’re at risk of ‘snapping at’ team contributors, i strongly advise starting a day by day mindfulness exercise. You don’t need to reach a deeply transcendental kingdom; simply consciousness your mind on respiration, gratitude or other mindfulness practices for five minutes an afternoon. Within a couple of weeks you, and your crew contributors, will start seeing consequences. Assume you’re too busy to spare five minutes? This harvard business overview article, which includes ‘micro meditation tips,’ will cast off this excuse. Apps like calm and headspace paintings remarkable, too. Grow your team’s emotional intelligence
‘concentrate extra than communicate’ can be more difficult than it sounds, mainly for extroverted enterprise proprietors and entrepreneurs. However by using making a personal commitment you can make this show up. In status meetings, as an example, promise yourself that you’ll only ask clarifying questions before all of us has had a risk to talk. Share your evaluations and directives toward the end of conferences. Now not most effective will your remarks be higher informed, but you’ll soon benefit a reputation as a terrific listener. And you’ll be on the path to turning into a servant-oriented chief. Sign on at no cost club
In relation to your marketing task ‘lieutenants’ (mission managers etc), choose them very cautiously. Don’t pick out them solely based on their technical competency. Also include their team facilitation and emotional intelligence talents to your decision blend. Because those people have interaction with the most crew participants, they’ll enlarge the ‘emotional reach’ of your branch. Wfh messaging
key 2: facilitate close crew collaboration
don’t just send your coworkers domestic and say ‘i’ll see ya once i see ya.” alternatively, purposely create possibilities to connect and collaborate. The very best to do that is by deploying an online messaging software. Slack is the first-class-known messaging app in recent times. However others, such as glip, twist and zoho cliq also offer wonderful messaging studies (and feature pretty cool names, too!). All will let you without problems insert screenshots or different media into your messages, and some support the sharing of files. This pc mag article offers a complete listing of the quality messaging apps as of march 2020. For conferences that require close collaboration, like venture fame updates and agile ‘scrum’ meetings, it’s excellent to agenda these with video conference gear like zoom, skype or google hangouts. In the long run, although, it’s much less about the device and greater about making sure clear, open communique. So pick out the gear that paintings quality for the general public of your crew. Preserve in mind this downside: these apps may be a challenge for older people or the ‘typing challenged.’ proactively address this by way of telling younger group contributors to workout endurance whilst interacting with slower typists. And for team contributors who prefer voice calls, display them a way to start audio and video calls inside these apps. Foster ‘water cooler’ conversations
when operating remotely, those impromptu ‘water cooler’ conversations don’t occur. So you need to create mechanisms that foster those informal interactions. One manner to do so: create channels for your messaging app. As an instance, you may create a ‘weekend adventures’ channel in which crew participants can percentage their weekend pursuits, along with the associated joys and ‘epic fails.’
 simply make sure that:
the channel and content with the intention to populate it fits your organization culture, and
you emphasize that every one posts have to be ‘appropriate for a commercial enterprise context.’ (to make certain this, monitor those posts sometimes, and delete beside the point ones.)
some other timely concept: create a ‘coronavirus humor’ channel. Tell your group it’s an area to submit funny comments, images or memes associated with covid-19. Regardless of our dire times, our minds nonetheless want some comic alleviation. Key three: use a assignment management (pm) app
earlier i mentioned reprioritizing your goals. That’s a brilliant begin, but you should pass in addition. Ensure there’s a clean mapping (linkage) between your excessive-stage kpis and your tactical undertaking desires, and among those goals and your venture-degree work. More moderen assignment management apps consist of task venture breakdowns and status views. It takes a chunk greater effort to link those assignment timelines and responsibilities lower back to organizational goals. But doing so is well worth the attempt, as most intention-oriented teammates need to look how their work affects the advertising and marketing department’s and employer’s ‘scorecard.’
the quality pm apps available these days encompass monday, asana, trello. If you use the hubspot advertising automation platform, hubstaff responsibilities provdes an smooth-to-combine pm solution
even as i’m a quite frugal guy, i might genuinely no longer advise ‘cheaping out’ on pm software program. Take into account the possibility value of bad task communication. If you installation terrible tools, the miscommunication (and ensuing downstream trouble) prices will in all likelihood exceed your monthly app subscription costs. Most importantly, some of your customers will witness those communique gaffs, so one can tarnish your brand image. Digital transformation playbook
download our enterprise resource – virtual transformation playbook
this playbook will offer you and your business with a comprehensive shape to comply with. It'll help you intend and prioritize transformation sports throughout exclusive advertising communications within the patron lifecycle the use of the smart insights race planning framework. Get entry to the digital transformation playbook
 tune your crew’s time
i realise it could be tedious and you could get a few pushback, but insist for your team individuals tracking their time on a day by day basis. Nearly all strong pm apps include a time monitoring characteristic. Insist that your crew makes use of it. That’s the handiest manner you’ll analyze, in advance than later, which tasks are past due and over budget. This may permit you to do more ‘management with the aid of exception’ than finger-pointing. If you simply need a stand-by myself time tracking app, harvest and toggl are value-effective alternatives. Persevering with training
key 4: usually hone your group’s abilities
finances for the continuing professional development (cpd) of group members tends to be the first factor cut at some point of hard monetary instances. But it shouldn’t be, and mainly now not now. Of course, tour to onsite conferences ought to be cancelled or delayed. Rather, you must are looking for out respectable virtual conferences and meetups on the identical subjects. The upside of virtual meetings: your group of workers may engage extra extensively — with international professionals, for instance. Encourage your team of workers study thru faraway activities:
attending online webinars. Pick those targeted more on sharing knowledge and facilitating q&a than promoting the sponsoring dealer’s logo. Don’t overlook about nearby meetups (which are now in most cases on line); those permit your team contributors to connect to nearby contacts remotely now, and in-character later. Signing up for on-line publications. As an online teacher for the college of california, san diego, i’m nicely privy to the pros and cons of on line mastering. The most important project for individuals who haven’t achieved it: time control. See this project as an opportunity: group participants who exercise suitable time management and get their coursework finished need to be rewarded at performance review time. Completing self-directed studying - through videos, books, online, and many others. Simply make sure you specify an predicted deliverable or studying outcome. An example deliverable could be a 30-minute ‘lunch and learn’ presentation. A studying outcome will be as easy as a venture record based on information gained, or a path letter requirement of ‘b’ or higher. Sign up without spending a dime club
the quality a part of expert development: group members, inspired by latest learnings, eagerly observe their competencies in your projects. The payoff, in terms of recent ideas, execution, and motivation, will likely be instant. And, now which you’re now not purchasing airfare and accommodations, plenty less costly. Key 5: prioritize your team’s wellbeing
Read Also:-  Can Google ads alter your brand presence?
staying properly bodily and emotionally is constantly an ‘a’ priority for me (and that i desire for you, too!). Even if you want to upward push at 5am to squeeze in a exercising, do it! Your body, mind, and ego will thanks. In case you truely can’t squeeze in a 30- or 60-minute exercise in the course of the day, harken returned to the ‘micro’ subject i referred to for meditation. Squeeze in two or 3 five-minute ‘well-being’ breaks for the duration of the day. Easy things like wall push-ups, planks, and jumping jacks will do the trick, as will a quick-paced 15-minute stroll. Wfh well being
a brief tale; my spouse works as an account supervisor at fidelity investments, and her boss today just granted all of her group members 5 additional unwell days due to the coronavirus crisis. The stated purpose: to permit employees to guide elderly dad and mom, or to take time to address their personal well being desires. That’s what i call a super example of putting people and their households first. Coronavirus infections will  Creative Digital Marketing Agency in Cambridge subsequently subside (honestly!) given our social distancing practices and vaccination improvement efforts. However responding to the urgent wishes of your loved ones shouldn’t wait.

Musical.ly Has Merged With Tik Tok an additionatik tok tiktok tiktok followersl Chinese video app
"Do it for the Vine" was the unofficial slogan of the now-defunct, as soon as hugely preferred short-form video app Vine. You would certainly listen to individuals shout it from behind their phone cams as they shot their friends dance, planking in public, or blowing big vape clouds. The Chinese application Tik Tok offers mainly the same function that Vine satisfied till its closure in 2016. Its tagline, "Make every second matter," is like "Do it for the Vine" for the "wellness" period. As well as if you're over the age of 18, you have actually probably never ever heard of it. Just recently, Tik Tok combined with an additional Chinese video clip app called Musical.ly. The last launched in 2014. By 2015, it was currently reeling in millions of international users with the United States teen market as its centerpiece. This year, four years after its inception, Musical.ly flaunted 100 million month-to-month active individuals-- whose accounts have actually been transferred over to Tik Tok's the same system-- showing growth at about the same rate as Instagram during its first 4 years. By comparison, Spotify remains in its tenth year as well as records 180 million regular monthly active users. You can boost your followers and likes count by using Tik Tok Likes Hack Tik Tok harmonizes the significantly visual social networks landscape. Yet what sets it apart is its main focus: lip-syncing. Tik Tok's homepage suggests an electronic playground, largely comprised of tween ladies performing viral dance moves and mouthing verses to Top 40 tunes. In what appears to be an effort to draw in as well as keep young individuals, Facebook and Instagram have just recently introduced brand-new attributes that simulate Tik Tok's version. Instagram's "music stickers" allow users to include music to their pictures and videos. Facebook's "Lip-Sync Live" is exactly just what it seems like. These new enhancements could very well capture on, but they do not have the gripping result crucial to Tik Tok's charm. Tik Tok's no-frills user interface gets right to the point, nearly boldy so. Immediately upon opening the application, trending miniature video fill your phone display for 15-seconds to a min at once-- an endless stream of quick, commitment-free ruptureds of dopamine. Tik Tok has 3 fundamental functions: watch, search, and create. It's easy to browse. A retreat path, nonetheless, is tougher to carve out. The web content feed is oddly addicting, like an IV drip of effortless amusement. You don't even need to scroll: as soon as one clip surfaces, an additional plays instantly. There's something practically corrupt about these hand-held efficiencies. Twelve-year-old kids flex their preadolescent biceps. Women belly dance in full-face makeup and sporting activities bras. Tik Tok's typical customer drops within the 13 to 18 age variety, a constantly-entertained and easily-distracted generation whose needs, national politics, and also tastes govern the future of social networks as well as, for that matter, culture. The platform is developed to nurture the habits of today's young people. It echoes and also informs their way of living-- the shortened hit tunes, Kylie Jenner-inspired outfits, viral dancing steps-- like a 24/7 teen publication. Unique designs as well as trends establish across the application. One of the most enduring as well as widespread technique sees users quickly rotating electronic camera angles and miming in addition to sped-up tracks. There are "difficulties" to take part in. Some include lip-syncing a particular line or carrying out a preferred dance. Others are much more puzzling, like claiming the floor is lava and also attracting acnes on your face. The "area" is shaped by these shared activities. There are typically a couple of tracks that reign supreme among lip-syncing videos. As I compose this, the #InMyFeelingsChallenge, which entails dancing beyond an auto to Drake's "In My Sensations," is among the top hashtags, yet that difficulty and also its coming with tune will soon be replaced with an additional and discolor right into irrelevance. In his publication Just how Music Functions, David Byrne purports, "Background and society can't actually be preserved by technology alone." Without a doubt, when decreased to trending clips, music leaves a fleeting influence. Any emotional or experiential relevance amassed from a performance's social environment, or the perception left after listening to a cd from front-to-back, is lost in this digitized "social" sector. We experience music extra frequently, delicately, as well as passively than before. A document isn't limited to the home; we could pay attention to it on the commute to function or at the fitness center. Not just that, we could browse through and download thousands of documents. We can also videotape our very own record. The downside of this endless digital grab bag is how it can minimize the music itself. Listeners are encouraged to take in as much music as is humanly feasible. Tik Tok's bite-sized snippets, made to consume one-after-another, see this growth in its most extreme, crystalline type. Tik Tok distills the ongoing meme-ification of music, cut and also squeezed to fit our focus periods. Injected into social media sites's communion of performance as well as self-involvement, music is merely fodder for content. Tik Tok's most-used audios loosely correspond with Signboard's Warm 100 chart. The remainder of the clip library responds to just what's hot as well as reproduces it. Take 2018 It Girl Ariana Grande, for example. Along with her hits, blurb from Grande's character on the 2010 Nickelodeon show Triumphant flood the platform. Bazzi's chart-climbing solitary "Mine" is among the best tracks on Tik Tok. So prominent that its universality exceeded the track itself: the opening notes have been recreated as wacky AutoTuned squeals in a brand-new viral blurb. Tik Tok resembles a post-radio maker where you're perpetually skimming networks and they're just the same. The branch of pop music as soon as geared towards radio plays-- the appealing ones intended to hit a nerve hyper-specific to the current moment-- flourishes under this system.
youtube
Exactly what we're entrusted is an ouroboros of recyclable pop stars, a comments loophole in between the possible pop celebrities utilizing the application as well as the megastars whose music is being lip-synced. The equation for success in this overlooked competition doesn't make up musical skill. Music, in a feeling, is repurposed for customers' individual brands. However, prominent customers-- frequently revered for the attitude, sense of rhythm, trendy closet, as well as face balance they offer already-existing songs-- have actually gone on to rack up record offers. On the planet of Tik Tok, risks are low, yet the benefits are high. A Tik Tok customer plays both candidate and judge on this figurative game program, carrying out from a platform and also deciding that of their equivalents to support. It's American Idolizer, yet nobody is vocal singing and also the program isn't confined to a regular hour-long time block. Contestants have just a few secs to stand apart as well as for a little while stop briefly the unlimited scroll they're competing with. First impressions are whatever. Top place owners win a foot in the music and entertainment industries, together with the successful benefits of being social media influencer. Seventeen-year-old Ariel Rebecca Martin, called Baby Ariel, signed with Innovative Artists Company in 2016 as well as launched her debut solitary "Aww" the list below year. It's not bad; it has the familiar circulation of a generic 2010s pop song and the music video, which has actually been seen over 44 million times, features adorable youngsters, charming animals, as well as Infant Ariel sporting fashionable clothing. This previous January, she shared her next solitary "Perf," followed by "Gucci On My Body" in June. She won the Teen Option Award for "Selection Muser"-- "Muser" was the portmanteau term for Musical.ly individuals-- in 2016 as well as 2017 and also is amongst Time's a lot of prominent individuals on the web, as well as Forbes' 2017 list of top enjoyment influencers. The iHeartRadio Music Honors additionally has a "Muser of the Year" group, for which Infant Ariel was nominated. She has over 26 million followers on Tik Tok, 8.8 million on Instagram, as well as greater than 3 million subscribers on YouTube. Signing Up With Baby Ariel on the conveyor belt to fame is 16-year-old Loren Gray Beech. The recent Virgin Records signee's only publicly documented attempt at producing music is an Auto-Tuned cover of Dua Lipa's "New Policy" on YouTube. At the same time, 3rd as well as second area Tik Tok users are recruited to content production companies like Flighthouse and Picture Studio. Flighthouse's Chief Executive Officer is 19 years of ages. He collaborates with the media brand's moms and dad company Produce Music Team and also their Chief Executive Officer, who called Flighthouse "this generation's MTV as well as Nickelodeon." Along with pop songs, these teams generate funny illustrations, dancing tutorials, and vlogs. To call music a mainly irrelevant facet of "this generation's MTV" would be both exact and stark. Today, home entertainment relies on its viral possibility. The genuine MTV has also refocused its programming with this in mind. "The means we are thinking about TRL is not as a one-hour program, [yet], preferably, 10 viral moments," MTV president Chris McCarthy told Rapid Business in a meeting. Yet traditional success has constantly been linked to some kind of virality-- an artist's capability to reverberate with a broad target market. Traditional charm and also sense of rhythm typically aren't new consider this formula. Tik Tok simply amplifies the equation with "improving" face filters, streamlined video editing, and also pitch-shifting. The product is a new kind of pop star, shaped by net trends and crafted for online consumption. The rise of playlists anticipated the once-crucial beginning factor in an artist's ascent to fame: a launching album. A punchy appeal a popular Spotify playlist suffices to place you on the map (see: Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow," which exploded after appearing on Apple Music's curated playlist The A-List: Hip-Hop as well as Spotify's RapCaviar). Victor Luckerson sums this for The Ringer: "Music fans are progressively opting to arrange their paying attention around ear-catching minutes, in playlists, as opposed to sifting through hr long cds to excavate their favored tracks." Tik Tok's limitless scroll presses the playlist right into a stream of these hit-making moments. The playlist pop star led the way for the Tik Tok pop star, that-- in addition to passing up full-length albums-- price cuts one more characteristically crucial element: making music. A Tik Tok-bred artist could be compared to the old-time industry-plant pop star. That's to state Britney Spears was born with even more skill compared to lip-syncing Child Ariel? The longstanding industry-plant objection is the assumed insincerity of a musician molded to generate income from. However Tik Tok users are one action ahead: They have actually been honing their star high quality because they downloaded and install the app. A Tik Tok individual is a content designer, a social media influencer. And the influencer-pop star crossover was unpreventable. Instagram is loaded with lovely preference manufacturers trying to find their next job. The shift is even more seamless, and also anticipated, on a "music" application. This isn't really to disavow the ability and creativity involved in creating viral content. At its best, Tik Tok provides a room for youngsters to reveal themselves. Aspiring professional dancers as well as artists can construct followings as well as seek what delights them. The concern is the area this particular sort of aspiring pop star occupies within the already-saturated music round. Under contemporary industrialism, lots of talented musicians are devalued, discouraged, and evaluated of a sector that significantly favors the star over the artist and also revenue over creative thinking. Jazz shed its mainstream momentum decades earlier, and rock gets on its final legs. This isn't really a bad point, necessarily. The styles continue to thrive within their particular niches. Still, when internet candy is packaged and marketed as music, it's simple to picture a future overrun by brainless, homogeneous pop. Individuals desire pop celebrities they can project themselves and also their wishes into. The Tik Tok pop star-- airbrushed and existing on your display-- is the excellent solution, one action listed below cyborg.

NO GAME, NO LIFE: Game Making || Chapter 4 Performance [Part 1]
Hardwork was nowhere to end, for what it seems. Time after time it seems like you were all destined to bring your utmost efforts in order to do the evil celebrity's bidding whenever she desires. How could be able to make a video game in a single week? Was that even possible? Who knows... But you know going against her would end probably with someone having the things they like most being stolen or even getting a bullet on your head.
Games aren't all that easy to make and you found that out in process of making it. Was there even a way of making it easier? Well, the boosts were there to help you during this process and in many cases you have suceeded. It was hard to make it come true, but in the end... You did it.
The day when the performance was going to be held came by. Waves of people flooded Oasis once again, enjoying their time there. Too bad you couldn't come in contact with those people - Sekai made sure to take you to The Theater, where she made sure to have you watch what was going to happen through a big screen placed there. By the time they have gotten to Pixel Land, it was clear an event was going on: the release of the brand new puzzle-based rpg with supernatural/mystery elements - Night Terrors. The name seemed to have caught their attention and soon they gathered by there to play it in the Arcade.
It was evident by the way people were playing they were quite invested in what they are doing seeming quite interested in the game itself. The gameplay was very practical and friendly to the player, people not being able to hold back amazed sounds while going through it. The Tester, according to them, must be someone who was highly used to play games, someone incredibly very capable and competent. Whoever they were, their jobbing going through this game was impeccable in every sense. The programming was decent, however, not much to be said about it.
Another strong point in the work was its soundtrack: every original BGM played on it was great, specially those where the piano was more noticeable. Matching the enigmatic plot it held to itself, the melody from the piano was able to make the hearts of those people be touched by it... Although some guitar parts right there were pretty much out of place not very well paced there, the piano certainly saved the soundtrack. Meanwhile the audio could be ranging from good to extremely bad some times. Some sound effects including there were just... Why did a fairy made a airhorn noise upon disappearing? Was that supposed to be a meme of some kind or did someone just inserted the wrong one in the wrong place after the game's final production?
The art of the game was certainly something - while many found it to be extremely cute and fluffy with fairies which design made one remember of Kirby and some cat-like things around, other things were just... goodness, where did those drawings come from? It was almost like someone made a huge mess with some designs right there, a complete amateur work. It was almost funny to the people playing that some characters were so well-drawn were others were compared to badly drawn stickmen.
Story-wise, the game evoked some memories of good RPGs from the past mixed with some brand new ideas that made an overall enjoying experience: the little boy you played, being aided by fairies in order not to die in the middle of the nightmares he was going through, were full of puzzles, plot-twists and challenges every now and then. Who could have thought that person was behind all of this, huh? Well, once people beat the game they came as far as clapping to it. It was amazing.
Night Terrors was quite something for the audience that night, that was for sure. Many people came to Kuro Sekai, that was right there as the host of that big night of the crowd. They were all coming to her, begging for her to give them more of that game and she, naturally did not oppose. People gave them money and, in exchange, the diva gave them the newest production of the first-timer Team Teddie.

17th April 2017: Poila Talks Art-ing Episode 01 Artist's Comments: First off, I apologize that I wasn't talking to you folks more often. However, recent events in my life have taken a lot of my time off this site and perhaps other social media. One, I am now in-transition, i.e. trying to find a new job and successfully land, but was unsuccessful. In case of you folks not familiar, I specialize in software and web programming - mainly on web apps. But the current economy and job market in my country aren't doing that well this year, so I just have to keep trying. Two, some issues were cropping in my family that I cannot disclose as it is too personal. I just wished that people's health would be in better shape now than ever. Three, I am spending more time learning game engines and game programming, which are time-consuming and breaking into that digital media market is challenging, considering that I have to compete on a national level with others who are more privileged and capable to access full-time course content at places such as FZD and Digipen. As a result, my rate of churning out drawn art has dropped, so I am posting mostly my WIPs and other nonsense to my Tumblr and Twitter. (Feel free to ask me your questions here or thru PM!) Now about this audio submission: I was browsing those funny gaming Youtube videos and noticed that some Youtubers like to use some text-to-speech voices - often associated with MLG memes. Upon research, I found the software and played with it. Note that this is an experiment and in itself a constant work-in-progress; I haven't set in stone as to whether I wish to make a true podcast or video series or Youtube/Medium.com whatever as to share and talk about my thoughts and creative processes I use in making my art. But if interest increases, I might consider making it a regular thing. Tumblr note: This file is also posted to FurAffinity at https://www.furaffinity.net/view/23240906/ Transcript: Hello world. This is Poila, and welcome to Poila Talks Art-ting. Quick point: Snooty people should be thrown under a bus. Apart from their toxic "critic" behaviour, they project this sense of negativity unto their unwilling victims, causing some of the newer and growing, amateur artists to being beaten and discouraged. However, artists themselves must be mentally conditioned to be able to accept criticism and critique professionally. Like, stop being overtly defensive. And be more reflective than reactive in attitude. This sounds like I'm beating the dead horse, but it  does take two to clap. Moving forward, learning to provide critique is just as important. One should learn not to mince words when pointing technical faults objectively. That takes sincerity and artistic competence, which is not the same as being blunt - though being blunt and frank sometimes overlap. Draw more, but also draw smart, and GIT GUD. Hope you folks enjoy what I made. Please leave your comments down below if you wish to. Take care! -POILA
