fuck this website's godforsaken gif search system; it's now easier for me to go make my own than it is to look for them, even when i know they exist. i don't understand how i can be looking at a post of gifs, type a specific tag the post uses, scroll for literally an hour, and reach the "end" of the gifs without seeing it, even though i'm literally looking at it.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMEONE IN TUMBLR MANAGEMENT FIX YOUR FUCKING GIFS!! OR LET ME COPY PASTE THEM WITH THE ORIGINAL USER'S NAME ON IT AUTOMATICALLY!!

At this point I'be reported/blocked so many spam bots that tumblr should be paying me, because clearly whoever is in charge of this shit isn't doing their fucking job.

Why should I pay for ad-fee browsing when I'm getting spammed with bot follows and staff begging me to use a feature I have absolutely no use for?

Don't you just love when you try to report something for posing a potential harm to minors (to specify, this person who i was trying to report was a self-proclaimed pedophile and zoophile), but tumblrs god awful reporting system prevents you from doing that?

Whether it be from not having anything for this kind of situation to the point where you gotta use the incorrect report category to do it, limiting the explanation down to 350 characters, or finally once you DO manage to get everything done around the system they have in place, it just doesn't let you send it because the direct link to the person's blog was considered an invalid link

If nothing else, at least this hellsite is keeping the consistency of nothing ever fucking working

When I hit on the name of the blog you reblogged from I dont want to see what samfuckerforever posted an hour ago, I want to see their tags that youre preving.

ALRIGHT I’m so fed up, let me show you what the fuck I have to put up with while making my posts.

Here’s the three GIFs from that post that I want to use:

When I browse for a scene, if I need more than one GIF from it, I try to keep it consistent, so I’ll pick one, then go to the original post to see if they did the rest of the scene.

While browsing the main tags, like “rwrbsource” or “firstprince”, I found one of Tyler’s, so I looked and added two of them, no prob:

But somehow, the entire GIF set doesn’t show up even though I can literally see the tags and already got two of them:

Somehow, I scrolled to “the end” of the results for those tags, even though I can LITERALLY SEE THE OTHER GIFS!!

Here’s a screen recording of me scrolling for those who are skeptical or think I missed them (you can see that I’m making this post):

I do not understand how or why this happens, but it happens on my phone AND my computer, so it’s not an app thing or a browser thing, it’s a TUMBLR thing.

But THIS is why my posts take so long to fucking make. About 40% of the time is spent actually writing, and then the other 60% is LOOKING FOR GIFS AND WANTING TO STAB MY SCREEN WITH A PENCIL.

When this happens, I have try different tags over and over again, scrolling for literally hours. This search was much more specific, because Tyler uses that unique tag, so you can see it ends quickly, even though there are clearly more GIFs under the tag that aren't showing up.

If I were to just put in "rwrbedit" or "rwrb movie", I would literally be scrolling for hours, and possibly never find what I'm looking for. I have had it happen for pretty much every essay you see of mine that uses GIFs. I am not exaggerating about the hours claim, at all. A response I wrote last week I started at 9:30AM, and did not finish until 4:20PM, because I spent so long looking for GIFs.

Writing comes quickly to me because I've been doing it in copious amounts since I was a child. I'm fast, and I'll admit, fairly skilled after all this time. I would be getting more posts out so frequently, but as you can see, I literally have to fight the Tumblr GIF search system to get the visuals I want.

So, yeah, now you know, and you see my suffering 😑

Okay so it's easy to find who made the reblog I'm talking about here but just to be completely clear, I am NOT calling this person, or any person out for anything, I'm just using their reblog as an example of some weird shit with Tumblr.

Their reblog from me actually starts with a whole other statement before this, but this is what I see when I look in my activity, and so somewhat understandably I saw this and was like: "Wow, what dumbass is telling me to suck dick for defending kids?" and as it turns out, nobody is! They agree with me, but because Tumblr decided to cut off the first sentence I'm going in under the belief that this person is being hostile towards me.

Like look, I'm not saying there's some grand conspiracy here where Tumblr is trying to aggro me or whatever, but I think it's really weird to randomly decide to show me someone's reblog starting from the second paragraph as opposed to the first.
