One of the things I constantly think about is bathing with Jason. Even a shower! I would love to wash that soft black hair! I also imagine a moment where Jason is cooking and he just sits you on the counter to watch him cook, talk to him and sometimes he goes up to you to steal a kiss or two. And that's where the issue of music and culture comes in!! Jason could easily be trying to cook something from your culture while your country's music plays in the background! and you get down from the balcony to dance with him!! AAAAH!! do you think fk’s friendship is the reason why they’re so popular? i’ve been thinking about this since the news of their fanmeet in brazil and why they’re the first gmmtv pairing to go outside of asia

I think it definitely plays a big role, but to say it’s the only reason would feel like a discredit to their abilities as actors. I’d say it boils down to three things: their friendship, their chemistry, and their talent. Also the fact that they’ve been casted in three shows that have done relatively well (TE, MC, and now OF…don’t want to speak too soon on OF, but it seems to be fairing nicely).

I could go on a whole tangent about fanservice in the BL community, but I’ve never gotten the impression that they’re pushing some kind of relationship just to gain a following. They’ve never portrayed themselves as more than besties who would destroy the world for each other. Also, the way they get emotional about their friendship likely draws in a lot of fans. Everybody loves seeing their faves love each other.

Lastly, they’re just…unproblematic. Which shouldn’t be a lot to ask for, but you’d be surprised. Normally I hesitate to say because we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, but several people have commented both on their talent and their kindness. They’re always very appreciative of their successes, and I think they know that small gestures like regularly thanking their fans go a long way.

(Also made me think of First saying he hopes we support them but only if we are happy doing so and it doesn’t trouble us…he really is the sweetest.)

It's only March and it scares me that people are already freaking out about FK's partnership 🫠 I was thinking that the lack of promotions right now aren't a bad thing? Actually the opposite? They had the fanmeet in Brazil, they'll have another one in Rome, both of those sold out their tickets. They have one in Manila as well, they've been flying a lot. Isn't it good that they're at least having a bit of time to rest? Perhaps next year's promos will depend on how well the new series will do. But seeing all this comments makes me anxious 😰 I think FK are so loved and they have a good fanbase, they seem to still be very happy together and interested in doing more things as a duo? Or do you think not really?? Have I been delusional in thinking that them resting is good 😭😭😭😭 especially now that we know First is taking on a new degree, like you said.. 😕😕

I’m certainly not worried about it. I don’t like that they make them do those events anyway. The sponsorships I don’t mind so much because that’s money in FK’s pockets, but the fan meets every weekend has always seemed a bit much to me.

My surprise comes more from the fact that GMMTV decided not to milk them like a cash cow after Only Friends, but I’m grateful for it. And aside from the month where they were both literally on vacation, I feel like they’ve actually been pretty active—at least for them.

I think the problem stems from people having different ideas of how much access they should be allowed to have with their faves. This is especially evident over on Twitter, which is why I don’t spend too much time there. I remember during FK’s month-long break, a lot of the fans were literally throwing a hissy fit. There was a whole campaign where they were tagging GMMTV and accusing them of negligence for not booking FK at events and like…they were resting???!

I know Twitter skews younger and a lot of them probably don’t understand what having a job entails and I also understand that eastern fandoms have always allowed fans more access to actors than I’m used to as an American, but things like that still rub me the wrong way. These boys don’t get weekends or holidays off. Even when they’re not working, if they’re out in public, they always have to be in work-mode. Let them go off the grid when they want to.

Anyway, all that to say that I agree with you. My comment about them maybe taking on more individual roles next year had nothing to do with me questioning whether they wanted to keep working together or whether they would have the opportunities to do so. I just personally wouldn’t mind seeing them in other things, too. They are still two of the biggest actors at GMMTV and seem to be booked for events as often or even more often than bigger names like OffGun. They’re just quiet on social media because they’re introverts. I’ve seen nothing to suggest they want to stop working together. In fact, all evidence seems to suggest that they would be really sad to have to work with anyone else 😂

PLA Chinese Air Force Y-20 aircraft transports air defense missile unit for the first time

An air-to-air missile unit of the China People's Liberation Army (PLAAF) air force recently participated in a systematic confrontation exercise, in which it first tested its rapid deployment capability by flying aboard a large Xian Y-20 transport aircraft.

This method will significantly increase the flexibility of China's air defense, analysts said on January 18, according to the Global Times.

Parked in the border region of southwest China, a land-based missile battalion affiliated with the air force of the PLA Southern Theater Command participated in the Red Sword exercise and won the maximum prize, the Golden Shield, China Central Television (CCTV) reported on January 16. The exercise marked the first time this battalion tested its rapid deployment capability by flying with Y-20 transport aircraft, CCTV said.

The rapid and long-range deployment of heavy land-to-air missiles has great tactical and even strategic significance, as it allows the PLA to improve regional air defense in a flexible way. This is possible thanks to the commissioning of the Y-20 transport plane by the PLA Air Force in large numbers, since an air defense missile unit usually consists of many elements that require a fleet of strategic cargo planes

In April 2022, many large Y-20 transport aircraft flew from China to Serbia for several consecutive days to deliver FK-3 air defense missile systems that Serbia had acquired from China. Observers called the mission at the time the largest operation outside the Y-20.

The Y-20 Kunpeng was developed by Xian Aircraft Industrial Corporation. The aircraft is nicknamed "Chubby Girl" in the Chinese aviation industry because its fuselage is much wider than the aircraft previously developed in China.
