concertina book with hand drawn pictures of all of the places i grew up. ie- lang st, saratoga, camper trailer when we travelled, lang st again, flametree, appartment, aunties house.

a big part of my identity is how much i moved around as a child due to bullying, and life troubles within my family, so it’s personal but cool.

Flametree Foundations of Black Science Fiction presents Darkwater: Voices from Within the Veil by W.E.B. Du Bois, cover images (there is only one?) from Shutterstock and Krakenimages, this edition printed 2022.

Ok I am not a fan of the way this book was produced, but I am a fan of Darkwater coming back into publication as previously this story was only available in an old anthology that wasn't very easy to find. This book is a collection of short stories, essays, poetry, letters and journal entries by Du Bois. If you can look past the flametree advertising at the front and back of it, its an excellent read.
