So one day I was feeling like drawing/writing something angsty, so here we are

The arrows got a meaning, can you guess what it is by the colours?

Okay I tell you, they represent the symbiotes that Soundy had lost and the emotional impact it had on him

I feel like Laserbeak's might've impacted a bit more which is why his arrow is bigger than the rest

I didn't dare to guess who else Soundy might've lost, so I only relied on the very old Soundwave and Ravage asks where this topic was in (I think they were one of the first ones? Flashbox literally interviewing them back then xD)

I gotta admit tho when I first time read those asks, I looked at Garboil and was like "who are you?" And for some reason kept mixing them up with either Slugfest or Overkill, like I was very confused when I tried to compare (the Soundwave ask post's Garboil and the reference sheet) who is who pretty much IGNORING the names (or thinking there might've been a "mistake", don't know which) lmao until now during the research did I understood that Garboil was de bird, DE BIRD XDD

But yea, in case you don't recognise the colour palettes, it's Laserbeak, Wingthing, Garboil and Buzzsaw (I had a little struggle choosing the palette for Wingthing as in don't know if I go with yellow, reddish brown or dark grey but ultimately decided to go with yellow despite it being kind of a highlight more than dominant colour)

This was also the first time I drew Soundwave in full body and I'm damn happy with it and this whole piece in general, I think I struggled with the legs tho xD and I also didn't know what to do with his right hand so now it's just kinda not really grabbing the arrow but just being there

Anyway, I should stop rambling before this gets too long xD guess I got a lot to talk about

The point of this digibash was to provide a new member for the Cobalt Sentries, whose ranks include only two other members. Since the Rumble version of this mold is already associated with Frenzy, I used the Rewind version instead.

Flashbox, meanwhile, is based on a generic Mini-Con from the Armada cartoon, who got a bio years later. I based him off of the Thrilling 30 version of Reflector.

そして色々な曲& バンドに夢中になった。

その中で『生きている中で好きになったバンド』(悲しいかな、Jim Morrison やJimi Hendrixのように好きアーティストが死んでるパターンが多過ぎなのよ)で、一番夢中になったのは、Oasisかもしれない。

River Cartwright versus a flashbox Slow Horses

Just finished a very productive session of Kenshi.

After a few false starts with the Wanderer start and not really getting into it, I instead tried the Slaves start, starting with a pair of characters as slaves of the Holy Nation in the mass slave camp Rebirth. On day 5 Ahkla managed to slip away, because by chance she managed to get work outside of the gate wall on a quarry vein behind the outside guard tower, out of view from everyone. She slipped away once night had fallen, then made her way to the lone shack, a small supply area for runaways left by the Flotsam Ninjas. After eating her fill for the first time in a long while and changing out of the camp uniform, she made her way to the Flotsam village and joined their cause.

Raime, my other character, tried to follow her footsteps many times, but got caught each time, until finally in desperation and with no other plans available to him, he decided to brute force it. On day 15 Under the cover of night he freed as many slaves as he could find and bum rushed one of the gates, as there were only 5 guards at each gate, and about 6 of them (many freed were unwilling to flee or tried to go it alone). In the end he, a shek lady named Beanhop, and another human named Flashbox managed to make it through. Flashbox went her own way, but Beanhop decided to stick with Raime out of loyalty for helping free her from Rebirth.

They found their way to the Lone Shack, and after licking their wounds and filling their stomachs they made their way to the Flotsam village, and Ahkla was finally reunited with Raime and introduced to Beanhop.

Now together, they will work with the Flotsam Ninjas to strike back against the Holy Nation, and one day free everyone in Rebirth.

And I am incredibly invested in this story that I’ve made now.

I didn’t get any mermay requests, so I suppose I’ll just be trying to do some scattered ficlets with different characters. If anyone does end up thinking of something they’d like to see, I’d still he happy to do it!

This is is a another story concept I have to credit to my friend @mama-nana, who suggested the concept of lamprey!Slayer and his pointy teeth being beloved by the local edgy goth kids.

“Yo, JC, check this one out!”

Slayer was always amused by the strangers who came to see him from the other side of the magic wall. They came in such a fascinating variety of shapes and designs. While they largely lacked fins, he found their propensity for self-decoration incredibly charming. All of them draped their bodies in a variety of colors, sometimes even adorned with shiny stones in their bodies. He wondered what it would be like to possess such ornaments.

“Woah, wicked! Look at those teeth!”

He noticed that a significant amount of the strangers who came to visit him liked to dress similarly. While others enjoyed wearing every color of the rainbow, these ones preferred black and red- definitely a good choice, in his opinion, however biased it was. They were bigger than the smallest but smaller than the biggest- juveniles, perhaps? Certainly younger-looking than he was. Some were very pale and quiet, while others had wild, spiked hair and liked making noise. They all seemed fond of metal decorations in their skin, just about everywhere they could possibly manage. Slayer could only assume they had to be the same breed, despite the slight differences.

“Hold the camera, Snake! I wanna get a photo!

Slayer had been swimming back and forth up until then, but he decided to swim closer to the magic wall. One stranger broke off from their group and approached him. They seemed an interesting fellow, with pitch-black lips and several metal decorations in their nose and ears. 

They seemed happy that he was interested in them. “Check it out! Think it likes me?”

“Pfft. No way, man. Probably just likes your studs. Fish are supposed to like shiny things right?”

“It’s a lamprey, dumbass.” The one by the wall pointed a finger at the plaque. “See? ‘European River Lamprey’”

Another one rolled their eyes. “A lamprey is a kind of fish, dumbass”

“Maaan, whatever. Just take the picture!”

Slayer watched them make a peculiar gesture with both hands, curling them into fists before straightening out their pinkies and index fingers. They raised both hands towards the rest of their group and thrust their tongue out. “Oh yeah! Check me out! Do I look cool?”

He was used to watching strangers pose by his space, though he was never sure if he was supposed to do anything about it. Most of them seemed perfectly happy with him swimming by or simply watching, but if the black-and-white strangers were a different breed than the rest, did they have different customs?

How curious. One of their group raised a flashbox (also black, naturally) and pointed at the two of them. Yet another odd habit of the strangers, flashing lights at him. He didn’t understand the concept behind it. But humoring them seemed polite. Everyone else was grinning, so he bared his razor-sharp teeth, too.

“Wo-ho-hoah!!” The group immediately burst into wider grins and an assortment of laughter. “Check out those fuckin’ fangs, man!”

“Wicked!”

The one by him eased his posing momentarily to look over his shoulder, then turned back to strike an even more enthusiastic pose. “Hell yeah! Snake, take the pic!”

The flashes soon followed, as expected. They immediately ran back to their group, which clustered around the one with the flashbox to chatter and whoop among themselves. “That is so friggin cool!” They said, beaming almost as brightly as their metal decorations. “Text it to me! I can’t wait to show my mama!”

Slayer merely watched in amusement. He never understood the strangers’ bizarre customs, but he always enjoyed amusing them so.
