I have always loved vintage-style haired model horses, and this might be my favorite homage to them yet! This is Breyer's Classic Arabian Stallion, made over to a lovely fleabitten gray and haired with Icelandic sheep's wool. I envisioned him as a Section B Welsh pony, but he could also be a Welara or perhaps a Crabbet Arabian.
This handsome fellow is available at https://www.etsy.com/listing/1560914957/cai-custom-fleabitten-gray-breyer

Part VII - working on it!
Sorry guys, this isn't a 'coming soon' post - but a 'working on it' post! I'm travelling all of next week, so I probably won't be able to sit down and finish up Palomino VII until the weekend after I come back, which is mid-May. In any case, the chapter will definitely be posted within May 🦄
As always, thank you for being so patient! I hope this super pretty banner of Jack makes up for it. Seriously, this one takes the cake out of all the banners I've made.
In case you missed it, I did post some Palomino-related content for my recent follower milestone. Hopefully that scratches the itch until Fleabitten is ready (hehe get it?):
Palomino!Jack's guilty pleasures
Palomino!Jack and horses
Palomino!Jack is king of the two step
Palomino!Jack and Grays!Frankie: what action of theirs is most beloved by someone close to them that they're not aware of?
Palomino VI - Mustang moodboard
Palomino song rec: Carrying Your Love With Me
Palomino: a playlist (!!!) created by lovely Britt @vermillionwinter. I am obsessed and I'm listening to it while I write Palomino ❤️
I'll only be online intermittently for the next week or so while travelling, so if I take some time getting back to you, I'm not ignoring you! I've queued up some posts for when I'm away. See you soon lovelies!

I just had to take some pictures of Liv's two horses together
you can read some oc-lore about them below if you'd like
From left to right we have Domino and Cato. These are the two horses that Liv actually owns. She takes care of a few more but these two beans are her own.
Altough Cato often annoys Domino they still love each others company.
Domino
Domino is a 12 y/o Lipizzaner gelding. He is the first horse Liv ever bought. She got him when he was six. Domino is a very calm, hardworking and reliable horse. He and Liv fully trust each other. Domino's willingness to do anything for Liv has been greatly appreciated during rides and adventures. He also has a very cuddly side and he loves his grooming time. Which is perfect considering his fleabitten gray coat.
Cato
Cato is a 5 y/o Kwpn mare. She has been with Liv almost all her life as Liv got her when she was only a yearling. Cato has been quite the challenge for Liv. Cato is very curious and not easily satisfied. Which has resulted in many escapes and break-ins. Her mischievous side is accompanied by her very loving side. She will force her love upon you while getting in your personal space. Besides some spookes she has been great her first year under saddle and her and Liv's bond keeps improving. Cato loves to keep her mind busy with learning new things which makes her try very hard when Liv asks her to do something.
These first few interactions I got for Cato describe her pretty good.

Hello 👋
I was wondering if there was a specific model horse/toy horse/etc. that best visually represents your thereotype? When my friend and I were young kids and making horsesonas and stuff, it was always fun to browse websites and stores looking for something that looked like our ocs and going "it me" lol.
Sorry if this is a weird ask
Not a weird ask at all!
Black appaloosas are common enough among horse toys but minihorse/shetland shaped ones, not as much. Breyer's Pony Gals Jasmine is close (minus the cartoony style) but she's also grayish. I like to think the gray is where the varnish roaning is in the coat. >>
While not my theriotype, I used to roleplay as a horse OC that was just this Grand Champions Fleabitten Gray Mare. She was basically a horsesona at that point in my life.
Bonus: I also found this Breyer foal that's very similar to my theriotype's coat and I must share it

Hello it is time for Lourdes headcanons
- In addition to being a MASSIVE DRAMA QUEEN she was kind of ditz. Not unintelligent, but like the type to miss stuff very easily. Coming from a sheltered rich girl background helps. Definitely had a few “it’s banana, what can it cost, $10?” moments that made Shaw double-take. Also has drama-queened so hard she’s fallen off balconies before and made Shaw freak the fuck out for a good split-second before she teleports back up there and continues.
- As a friend put it, she has chihuahua energy. She is small and dainty and ladylike and also aggro as fuck.
- Which is why Shaw never corrects her English. He just lived with trying to work out what “horse tornado” and “spider lobster” meant.
- Despite her being the one with chihuahua vibes, she frequently treated Shaw like a purse dog or a baby instead of, you know, a wild mountain gorilla
- Would have loved boba, but it wasn’t popular in the West when she was alive, alas
- She loved Easter lilies
- This one came up in a fic by @sammysdewysensitiveeyes and I’ve never forgotten it---she wore orange blossom fragrance.
- Lourdes introduced him to horses. Shaw was a poor city boy, he’d probably never even MET a horse before, let alone been on one. I think he was probably very freaked out by these animals and very wary of hurting one or fucking up. I’ve been acquainted with horses and riding since I was a toddler, so I’ve never been afraid of them in my life, but a lot of people who meet them in later life tend to be intimidated. Which I get, horses are big and their body language and mannerisms are VERY different from cats and dogs, and they’re EXTREMELY nervous and squirrely and there are all these rules you have to follow like not standing in their blind spot or walking behind them, and fucking these rules up can genuinely result in your death. I’ve never ridden somewhere that didn’t have me sign a waiver stating that if I get fucked up or killed, I promise not to sue.
Now, Shaw can’t get hurt, but like, I think he was still nervous about these animals because THEY are so nervous. Especially since I see Lourdes liking really slim fine-boned breeds like Arabians. And they are BEAUTIFUL, they are undoubtedly the supermodels of the horse world, but they are VERY high-strung. One of the reasons I love drafts so much is because they are CHILL AF. . .and one of the horses I learned to ride on was an Arabian, so like. . .it gave me the reflexes to be ready for anything, but I’d also rather just take a calm horse, thanks. There’s also the fact that Arabs and Akhal-Tekes are built like greyhounds and I think Shaw just looked at them and was like “ok I cannot get on that, I know I’ll be fine but I don’t want to kill my girlfriend’s horse in front of her” (I’ve heard Arabs can actually carry surprisingly heavy people, especially if the person is tall because of how the weight distributes or something, but Shaw doesn’t know that and he’s not risking it) She eventually got him a fleabtten-grey Lipizzaner to learn on. Yes, that’s actually the name of the color, fleabitten-gray. It’s actually much prettier than it sounds, it’s basically a white horse with an abundance of tiny grey freckles.
