had a dream last night about a world where people would get like sponsored by different aliens that would turn them into magical girl esque superheroes but my alien sponsor was a more of a uhh venom symbiote type character so my transformation was more like getting cocooned by a suit of weird pink and scabious alien flesh and like i was bummed i didnt get a cute outfit but otherwise it was a pretty sweet deal

- She’s vaguely anomalous, keyword vaguely. Her anomaly is somewhere along the lines of absorption, sorta? A little like 590

- She was briefly put on a research project concerning SCP-2192 and one accidental exposure later she became radioactive

- Other than the radioactive thing she’s pretty normal, actually

- uhh she suffers pretty badly from radiation poisoning

- Her main job is analyzing radio waves and locating where anomalous broadcasts originate from, but nobody can work near her for more than a few weeks at a time bc. yk. radiation

- and ALSO bc of the radiation thing, she has to live on-site so she doesn’t contaminate public spaces or arouse suspicion

- Dyatlov is sometimes called Dr. Geiger and she hates it

- The broadcast locating thing probably ends up getting her into some shit with Westhead Media specifically, though she’s also worked on projects like trying to find where 2030 tapes originate from

- Also as a result works pretty closely with the entire squad of an MTF dedicated to pinpointing certain GOIs/POIs. aka Fleshfriend’s squad from before she got demoted to Keter guard for 610.

- in a better timeline, Dyatlov and Fleshfriend would be dating

Can you tell more about fleshfriend?

Oh sure!! Here’s a few points:

- Fleshfriend’s actual name is Mackenzie Valen (though I think I already have said that before. just to bring it up again)

- Her infection is (mostly) sentient and kind of an asshole. They don’t really have a name but she calls it Blair

- Fleshfriend starts off only partially infected by 610- mostly because Fleshfriend was “chosen” as an ambassador of sorts to spread 610′s influence, but she needs to retain her consciousness if they want to avoid suspicion

- SO for the infection is primarily in her left arm, which she sometimes puts in a fake cast to, again,, avoid suspicion

- Valen is a former single mother with one son!! Keyword former.

- 610 has a MASSIVE vendetta against the gods and their entire goal with infecting Valen was to infiltrate the High Pantheon and infect all the gods

- Absolute horror movie fiend- her favorite movie is (ironically) The Thing and she always makes references where she can. 610 does not appreciate it

- It also does not appreciate that she specifically named it after the doctor from The Thing

- As infection progresses, Valen starts kinda just. losing it. and goes full-out Aggressive Atheist(tm) in part bc of Blair’s vendetta against the gods

- Fleshfriend overall is really friendly and nice but does eventually go bonkers fuckign yonkers

Nobody actually knows they’re infected (except 049, bc, yknow, pestilience sense and all that). There is 1 imposter among us and it��s Fleshfriend

so, is fleshfriend completely 610-infected (like in the entry, he's died and revived but like a zombie) or has he developed some sort of agreement with it?

Sorta.. both? At some point the 610 hivemind turned its focus to religion and needed a missionary to “spread the gospel” so to speak and chose the all-too-enthusiastic-about-610 guy who guarded their area to do it

Basically, they’re mostly infected but 610 doesn’t go all the way bc it has no sense of how to act normal and human, and in the environment they’re in, if Fleshfriend isn’t acting normal 100% of the time they will be incinerated on sight and they don’t want that

But it ends up just being a sort of Parasyte-esque relationship

not gonna lie i was sorta hoping someone would ask BUT this is gonna be a rant so im putting it under a cut if yall are interested

OKAY so just to get somethin straight: they’re not part of limited edition. like Fleshfriend, they’re a focus in stories i hope to make after LE :)

their whole thing is that they’re trying to force a Broken Masquerade scenario by exposing the Foundation.

except they’re a normal person. no anomalous powers, no actual affiliations, NOTHING aside from their older brother “disappearing”, knowing SCP-2521, seeing the Google Maps Site-50 mayhem, and a Parawatch account.

they pose a really, REALLY big threat to the foundation despite being a completely normal person, bc of a) their motivations, b) inability to be stopped with reality anchors bc they’re a normal person, and c) weaponization of SCP-2521.

bc here’s the thing! it’s a long story but they accidentally discovered SCP-2521 by writing about a similar fictional creature for Parawatch and got their laptop yoinked, and after a lot of “study” they ended up figuring out that they could befriend 2521 like a crow simply by writing lots of stuff for 2521 to take.

and, also like a crow, 2521 likes to bring things back for people they like, which leads to Problems(tm) bc it allows Jae to connect the dots between their experiences, and now they have an EXTREMELY strong memetic hazard as a friend and they know how to use it to their advantage.

going forward i imagine their story would revolve around setting off a full WWI-esque scenario of multiple GOIs fighting to stop them or encourage them and some feigning neutrality.

i know that’s not exactly summarizing them but it’s the best i could do bc i had Many Ideas whille drawing them and. yeah. i love them. they're here to cause problems

Are any other scps besides the misters in limited edition?

Oh yeah absolutely!! The SCP universe is MASSIVE and im hopin to portray that by just having other parts of the universe in the background. this includes but is not limited to:

- ads for dado products

- SCP-3001, not quite “in the background” but there

- a 2030 episode

- iris dark and draven kondraki, probably. they’re too cool to leave out

- fucken uhhh, yknow,, talman_corvett?? gamer against weed?? yeah them

- fleshfriend!!

- a sarkic and mekhanite, who get into a fight in a grocery store

- references for 2521, 682, 610, and 3999, bc they are also very cool

- 4199, 073, and 2662 all show up in the same scene

- 105 sold presented separately

- dado and 2030 are the only ones here that only show up for the sake of plugging in another part of the universe and i REFUSE to reveal how all the others show up and why
