Checkout my Dawia BG 8000 in the picture above. I have 30lbs mono by bullbuster on this reel. At 30lbs I can put up to 370 yards of line on this particular reel. All reels will tell you what line capacity your reel can hold. If I wanted to put braided line on this particular reel. I will just use the chart on the side of the reel. Braid: 65lbs - 590yds 80lbs - 440yds 100lbs - 300yds Notice the pounds to yards. The lighter your line the more you can put on your reel. For this reel. I can put 100lbs on my reel but only put 300 yards vs putting 65lbs on my reel and only able to put 590 yards of braid. It actually depends on what you you are fishing for.
