Things I vaguely want to add to Them Thar Hills:

aqua regia.

TTH adds nitric acid, and some other mods (krastorio, bz chlorine) add hydrochloric acid. if both are available they are both needed for gold processing. this is a problem because gold is a resource you need a huge amount of for circuits and shit, and the tileable ways of getting two fluids and gold ore into a chemical plant, and gold powder and depleted acid out, are really low density, as well as having a bunch of fiddly pipe work that would be annoying to make without early bots, even with blueprinting.

yes i know this is not enough to process a full belt, i screwed up. this is the densest design i could figure out outside of boring "one machine in a beacon box" designs that wouldn't be available for most of the game anyway and are inviable with SE or SE-style beacon reworks like I use.

the solution is either a) one of those mods that lets you swap the fluidboxes around, or b) mix hydrochloric and nitric acid together into a single fluid before sending it to the gold processors, and i like the latter better just because it ends up with a higher potential density in this sort of design even if it's much easier.

this would be controlled by a setting for now so people don't have to rebuild, and then become the only behavior if a mod adding HCl is detected in the Great Base Breaking 2.0 Update

b) RAM?

the problem is people seem to only play my mods (or at least, to only mention playing my mods) in fuckhuge packs with all of BZ, krastorio, space exploration, and sometimes bob's circuits and 248k.

this is an issue because one of TTH's intermediates is integrated circuits. this overlaps with krastorio's electronic components item, and bob's integrated electronics item. i am sure there are players that do not mind this and are playing a game of match-the-icons, but having multiple intermediates representing different takes on the same object bothers me. so i was thinking if TTH is loaded alongside either of these mods, replace integrated circuits with some other more specific electronic thing, and my current thought for this is RAM but it could be something else instead. it would be more expensive but needed in lesser quantities and somewhat narrower in application.

the issue with this is that maybe i am the only person bothered by this? and if so, this is just introducing more volatility and edge cases into the mod. also, RAM would probably end up just being another Lump Of Circuitonium intermediate with the same precursors as everything else. enabled alongside mods that are already somewhat overfocused on the electronics side of production, this is just a lot of extra conditionals in every recipe modification for what, a new icon? if anything it should just make integrated circuits not exist at all separate from the intermediates from these other mods.

idk, divided on this point. wish i had more feedback beyond "XYZ mod combination is outright broken" on the 3 new mods in general.
