Feels like home (@thegrayness) **RPF**  “In this absolutely lovely fic, Dan is a novelist whose research on small towns puts him in close proximity with the charming Noah. Complete with Hallmark vibes and just the right amount of pining, this fic is perfect for anyone looking to get in their holiday feels. It's sweet, fun, and absolutely worth a read (or two)!!”

Fifteen hundred miles (morehuman) “This is the one that started it all for me. The one I stumbled upon after falling down a Schitt’s Creek internet rabbit hole and found myself on AO3. The one that made me fall in love with this concept of taking characters that I had fallen in love with and placing them in different situations and have it work. It showed me there were all these people in the world creating unique, compelling and brilliantly written stories. This is my favorite fic for so many reasons, but mostly because of everything it brought to me. New friends, a renewed love of reading, along with reawakening my own creativity. I know it’s already well-known and well-loved but I felt the need to share how much it means to me.”

Halloween whiskey (@missgeevious) “A fine Halloween fic. I love the way this writer is so concise, creating this little gem with nary a wasted word. A tight 5K that's both sweet and scorching hot. Come for Patrick's "do-over" in the beginning, linger for the intense heat in the middle, and leave with the image of Patrick's adjusted costume firmly planted in your brain.”

Into a million pieces (rosieboo98) “This is one of my go to fics when I am looking to read angst. It brings me to tears every time. But then it gives our boys their happy ending. I really appreciate the fact that once they get their happy ending, the story does not end. Instead, the author gives a few chapters of them building their new relationship after it has been so broken.  Highly recommend if you need a good angst with happy endings!”

Language of Love (pandorasdaydream) “If you’ve ever wondered what happened between the episodes, these series are for you. Such attention to detail and explanations for David and Patrick’s thoughts and behaviors. I loved exploring this series.”

The last first kiss - a series of alternate first kisses (poutini/@cheesecurdsgravyandfries) “This piece eighteen alternate “last first kisses” that all take place before the S3:13 grad night kiss we all know and love, hits a bit differently. It’s soft, sweet, funny, and a wonderful bit of evidence that David and Patrick will be together in every universe- sometimes sooner than you’d think. 11/10 would read again and again and again— and you should too!”

Smoke gets in your eyes (@this-will-be-our-year) “This Mad Men (remix) AU is freakin gold!!! Its set in the 60s yet its SO David & Patrick. I cried, laughed, and fell in love with the characters. I'm not even kidding when I say that a fluffy sequel where we see them as "husbands" or a present time fast forward where they marry legally is in my DAILY MANIFESTATIONS. So, so good!” 

Stab: The Elmsboro Murders (@dinnfameron) “I am assuming that everyone knows the quintessential October fic “My Heart is Like a Haunted House” by dinnfameron, so I don’t need to tell you to go read that. Right? Okay, well, after that one, check out another seasonally appropriate one by the same author, “Stab: The Elmsboro Murders.” You’ll love this flirty, lighthearted meet-cute based on a slasher movie. Dinnfameron is such a clever wordsmith—weaving together canon lines in unexpected ways, capturing the tone of a detective story, and including plenty of affectionate and true-to-character banter. The point of view alternates, and the parts in journalist David’s head are particularly fun and sweet. So don’t be scared of this little horror fic. It might kill you, but only in the best, most metaphorical ways.”

6. Who drags along a friend into everything they do?

Lugard. That's basically the plot of that fic I fail to write every year. Him dragging along a new coworker. Unfortunately for the coworker Lugard is at the Labyrinthic Cliffs solely for business.

7. Who would prefer to find a quiet spot away from the crowd.

Lugard again. As much as it is somewhat comfortable to disappear in the crowd he'd much rather find a quiet spot and read a book.

8. Is any of them being recognized? What is the general reaction to them

Faladlain of course. He has to sign many books and people constantly want to talk to him.

9. Who gets a little too drunk?

Dak and Charrlotte. Dak has on several occasions fallen of platforms while drunk. Fortunately he has spent so much time in the air that gliding is basically in his blood.

10. Is there anyone who works at the festival?

Gekk is leasing some of his clubs equipment and crew to the organisers of the Queen's Gauntlet. There isn't much use of keeping the Arcana Obscura open with a bigger attraction a portal away. And of course Gekk himself comes along to superviseneak around

Most likely that'll be Lexii and Oraed, maybe joined by Iovita if their warband hadn't joined.

Lexii is good not being percieved and just being on the beach, thanks. Oraed doesn't feel the need to compete in the Pavilion, and she enjoys the salty air of the beach. Iovita doesn't like the festival in general unless they're doing things with the 'band. They're too old for this, they joke.

6. Who drags along a friend into everything they do?

Madeline, absolutely. And that friend is either Suibhne or someone she brought over from DR. She loves the festival, she loves showing her friends how fun everything is!

9. Who gets a little too drunk?

Havardr, absolutely. He's known to drink a lot during festivals, and this one is no exception. He's on the beach at least. And he's a rowdy drunk. Though Cicero is very likely to get drunk off his ass too.

10. Is there anyone who works at the festival?

Aurora and Dion do! Aurora is happily teaching people about the zephyrites and answering any questions children might have about their people. Within reason of course, she knows what the Aspect Masters have said.

Meanwhile, Dion spends time as a skimmer handler. She'll even teach people how to ride if they need. She loves being able to relax and catch up to her old friends between the work.

4. Who would win a mount race? And who is the most competitive in race events?

Sent would win a few races I think. She has probably the most experience thanks to her journeys in Elona, and she is also excellent at handling animals, so even without her own mount she would fare very well.

As for competitiveness, it's most likely Nym! But she isn't a good rider, therefore she probably only tried a mount race once and then spent the next twenty minutes rambling about how much losing upset her. The others buy her a drink and try not to laugh too much.

10. Is there anyone who works at the festival (baristas, fight managers, mount handlers etc.)?

While it's technically not work, Sent basically only appears in the Pavilion to be a nice, presentable decoration, to mingle, and to ease people's worries.

Out of the rest, it's probably Ciranan who would end up helping out at a bar or with mounts if he gets paid for it. He's very opportunistic in this sense, living from day to day in Ascalon taught him the value of quick and easy money quite well.

12. Are there any returning or new competitors in the Queen’s Gauntlet? Who challenges them the most?

I'm pretty sure the entire Rose guild is out there, making bets among themselves and trying to cash in the most wins for future bragging points.

As for returning competitors: Nhorah is having an absolute blast with the Gauntlet this year. She claims it's good for staying in shape. It absolutely has nothing to do with Tyrus and his two daughters and all three of them cheering loudly for her from the crowd.

9.) Who gets a little too drunk?

Fexx. He gets his ideas on how parties should work from Norn after all. It’s not a celebration unless you’re wasted.

10.) Is there anyone who works at the festival (baristas, fight managers, mount handlers etc.)?

Wynoc. He’s still to some degree an active Whispers agent and you don’t just turn that off. It’s still mostly a vacation, he just always is listening for useful information too. He can multitask.

11.) Who would prefer the activities in the Crown Pavilion to the Cliffs?

Gonna be honest I haven’t been to the Crown Pavilion yet. But from what I know of it, Fexx and Wynoc would have a better time there. Fexx is a rowdy Vigil boy so I think he’d enjoy it.

12.) Are there any returning or new competitors in the Queen's Gauntlet? Who challenges them the most?

Both Fexx and Wynoc would be first timers. And I don’t know who competes in the Gauntlet so I don’t know who would give them trouble.

13.) Who would most likely become the crowd favourite in the Queen's Gauntlet?

Fexx. He might but a thief but he knows how to work a crowd. And that fact that he repeatedly attempts to headbutt his opponents if they get too close, despite the facts he barely tops three feet, endears him to a lot of viewers.

This morning I was treated to the ultimate crowing. It was like I was a kid again watching you crow about how you did all this great stuff. That would be Halving of that, with you rising to that internally, but expressing that externally in the exact complement to that, so it happens but it doesn’t happen.

What were you crowing about? Your great victory over every other victory ever. It was great, absolutely classic you.

The twist in the inversion really throws you. It’s like when you need to reverse grips: the difficulty is mentally mapping the movement to the hands and the connected structures. I’ve been experiencing that in great detail. Like now my left hand plays harmony on its own, on any surface, because the movements exactly match the patterns of the melodic side with the patterns of the rhythmic side.

I remember talking about that with rep, that you’d reduced the structure to the minimal accompaniment which suggests to the melodic.

I’m trying to take the chirals and put them into the irreducibles. That’s going to stretch from gs5 over hexagons to gs7. This is fun! So that makes 11 and 13 as well, meaning there’s the SBE2 identity function over the gap from gs5 to gs7, which is exactly what we be needing ‘cause that puts the hexagonal spin between.

I’m starting to remember some of what was whacked into me yesterday AM. Can’t recall until I can grasp. And you know my grip is compromised.

So, I have this fairly simple relation: gs5 - hexagon - gs7. And this rotates over the shared space. Such a pretty sight because when it takes on angles then it has all these different attachment places.

Attachment angles are also depth of read, meaning trend, meaning the CM100 conception is attaching again! I’m a little over-excited. The reason is I heard a negative, and I realized that if I flipped it at the chiral then it meant the opposite because it became me saying that which connected to you internally so that was you saying it when you is the you I talk to.

We need testosterone controlled rock music, all that energy but without the specific element of bravado that infects male music. That reached the point this morning where I could see the Sam I AM unite to the SAM to the Samson story. I saw the origin as the animal level of the males kicked out because they’re competition, with that taking on what was meant to be a positive message, that Samson puts your group in that other group. At the irreducibles where awareness shifts animal to human - did I just type that? - that both generates and comes out of - see yesterday’s work - a chiral junction which flips meanings. So what comes in is that you’re related, which means the potential for cooperative existence through management of shared attributes. Animals recognize traits they can recognize. They don’t use these concepts but they enact them because their 2nd order processing is tightly constrained to the 1st order. (The birds teach me this every day. There’s remarkable thought in them.)

So, that says the process inherently confuses at two distinct levels, and that those are joined by SBE2, so that extends 5-7 to 11-13. The obvious conclusion is that isolates SBE3, which is 9. This is really complicated, isn’t it, but incredibly beautiful. Think of it: the square of SBE, meaning the count of Start-Between-End, meaning the essential identity function of me-(not)me-me.

Maybe I can reach another fundamental. Maybe with the accent on the fun.

The identity function becomes 1-0-1 and 0-1-0 when 0 represents the junctions, meaning the first iteration isolates a node within segments and the second isolates a segment between 2 nodes. Never saw that clearly before.

The bravado even shows up in FofW: the loser image inverts but doesn’t remove the bravado because it makes the girls into characters of male desire where the competition is among men, meaning this is a conscious ranking. Little Red Light has almost none. Great riff. Too bad they couldn’t take it somewhere. It’s interesting how they could have made That Thing You Do sexual but didn’t. It’s denuded of passion.

That puts the point in the middle, connects it to the triangles as identity, which spreads through the 0space because that’s literally the map of 0space being drawn. As in, here’s a length: identity is? All defined through the 0space. This is intensely joyful. I’m trying to keep it together. Now, there’s scaling of identity over the triangles and thus over the boxes and the squares. And that scaling uses the gs5-gs7. And that doesn’t Halve but rather thirds at SBE3 (also Halves, but to emphasize the character of 9 - which also includes 4-1-4, etc.).

Why gs11? The obvious answer is 5 + 6 is 11, but that means something. Like the handedness of 10 Halves into hands of 5, so that implies 1 + hands. Which is perfect because that is the nature of dimensional enclosure. That makes another 13: the count of SBE + hands. I’m having trouble seeing that. The dimensionality can’t be experienced without 3 hands or 15, which means there’s a chiral choice issue in the next hand, and that means I connected to the image of the 13 as the leader, as the pointer: it now literally points into a chiral. That is gs13: it takes 2 hands, counts SBE, AND that count relates to gs7 over SBE2, meaning bidirectional identity. This means the count reaches into a chiral that relates to the other end of the identity, so it’s like you take gs7 and extend it as far as SBE2 can reach. That’s the queen and king in a chess game. That’s why the multiple queens was so exciting: defines the space from different angles.

And that asks: chiral to what? That extends the concept out over scales, which means we’re back to 0space thinking.

Why IC of family and CM16? Isn’t that saying CM16 + IC of family makes an IC of CM16? I remember that. Which is perfect because IC of CM16 makes 8 out of 2 Things in each CM16. That means we can say CM64 is 8 Things. And that hits exactly the irreducibles in square form.
