And the evil is done in hopes that evil surrenders / But the deeds of the devil are burned too deep in the embers / And a world of hunger in vengeance will always remember.
-Phil Ochs, folksinger
This particular Tom Lewis (it's a pretty common name) is pretty big in the contemporary British Sea Shanty/folk music scene (He's the one who wrote "The Last Shanty").
In this particular video he gives background info for, and sings, a song about old time music hall life.
For some reason, it's classified by YouTube as "for kids" (even though the live audience is all adults, and there's a humorous verse about an extra marital affair). So I can't leave a comment saying how much I liked this one.
12. a performance you think is underrated: beating a dead horse here and for the upteenth time saying barbara shelley in cat girl (1957) and sally hawkins in maudie (2016)
16. a trilogy/franchise you like: the ringu and ju-on franchises cause there's nothing that makes me happier than a vengeaful and sad spirit girl spreading curses
20. a movie you think looks beautiful: soooo many but the first one that came to my mind is the red shoes (1948)
