My SVU rant

I’ve been watching SVU for about two years now. It’s been like therapy for me❤️‍🩹. I watched the older season as well.

For Season 25 to be so legendary, it’s soooo boring. The only episode I loved was episode 4 with Chief McGrath and his daughter.

The fandom don’t know what they want. They want character development but little to no screen time for said character.

The way they got rid of the female characters was extremely uncalled for.

Bring back GRACE MUNCY

Bring back TONIE CHURLISH

Bring back KAT TAMIN

I didn’t like Rollins until season 21 but I 100% agree with movement, Kelli deserved better. But that is not Molly’s fault. Molly is was not an executive producer of SVU.

I love Grace Muncy and she was written off way too soon. Her outfits and her sneakers are TDF. She is not perfect, but neither was the old squad but they were given time to grow into the great characters they are now. I am glad her and churlish made up at the end of 24x17. I loved the Churlish and Muncy duo investigating in 24x21.

Veluncy could have been the best ship in SVU:

- they are both single

- They don’t have any baggage in their lives (unlike Bensler- being stuck with Kathy and the Stabler kids AND Rollisi (i don’t like this ship) but Rollins dating/hooking up the wrong men, dissing Carisi for years and having 2 baby daddies before giving Carisi a chance

- They spend a lot of off-duty hours together

- get along really well and care for each other

- They have the cutest banter

- They are loyal to each other

- They obviously ride hard for each other

- Velasco telling her she is his only real friend

- THE WAY THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER IS SO BEAUTIFUL🥹🥰

Tonie Churlish irritated me at first, but she had potential. I could have seen her in ADA position ( maybe 2nd chair to ADA carisi) because she was genuinely interested in the law aspect, when talking with benson and carisi, in 24x16. I think the writers should have created a scene as to why she recorded Velasco- she clearly saw corruption while working in Bronx SVU so maybe that is why her guard is up to spotting something shady with cops.

I miss Kat Tamin everyday. I love her husky voice and her personality. I adore the way she stands up for women’s rights and truly strives to seek justice for women.

Another thing- Why is sykes getting more screen time than Detective Velasco, especially when he is in the main cast? Can at least get a scene where Velasco talk about how much he misses his ‘only real friend’ AKA GRACE MUNCY

Well, I've just edited the two AO3 Rollisi fics of mine that referred to baby Rollins-Carisi as Ollie to now refer to him as Nicky.

In the end, my near-compulsive need to be canon-compliant overrode my general feeling of blahness about the name Nicky. I'm just going to go on believing his middle name is Oliver unless and until I hear otherwise.

He's definitely a cute kid; I hope we see more Rollins-Carisi family moments in s25.

And I knew the possibilities were low but a little hope was still there, instead they really went there and called the baby Nicky uuughh, that baby is adorable, so so cute but a big nope for the name, I feel like they went with their idea and didn't ask Kelli and Peter I fear, she wouldn't have gone there I believe, fuck DG, also who the hell call their kid their ex name?! both of them! Carisi ex was Nicole, Amanda had a fwb situationship with Nick and yeah call him ex is definitely not it lol, but still?? weird af. Carisi has also a cousin called Nikki??! something different maybe?? especially if it stands for Dominick for me, like again? a third? it's so old 'patriarchal' school I don't like it, it's 2024. For me there's no way Amanda and Sonny would have gone for that. This is why I wanted a girl, I feared they were gonna go there and look, they did. Give him is own name. Anywayyyyy baby name rant over, sorry not sorry I needed to get it off my chest. I'm cool now lol.... -ish. Also tho, why did they cut half the baptism scene and there was NO SIGHT of the girls???! like why the hell do you call them to be there in both scenes, film them and then you cut them out?? also rude? 3 seconds of their back running doesn't count. but oh Noah had to go on a tangent about the baby, at least this time he didn't interrupt the scene. I wanted the girls to talk about their brother, a 'dad' line maybe, a family of 5 little scene at the party. We got more bts than product filmed ffs. At least we got a damn good Rollisi scene😍😍 I missed them soooo much it's been a year without them. To bad they had spoiled all the scene already. I miss them already. One good thing is, if they're going with Rollins-Carisi I love it?! I always prefer when they include both names especially in het relationships, and not making it all about the man, I like 'Rollins', Amanda made her name a good one she fought to be better and defy the legacy of her father name, I would hate to lose it.

Thankfully! Amanda Rollins and the Rollivia scene saved the episode, I absolutely adored LOVED their scene, Amanda first concern: How is Liv 😭😭 and Liv opens up only with her😭, this kind of talk was like their usual talks in her office, when Amanda would knock, come in, ask how she was and the talk would unravel. I missed this. And here as soon as she started talking about the case Amanda went into detective mode, -investigating thinking face activated-! adfghjkljhgfdsfghjk the OUR PERP, Liv face 😂, her 'when are you coming back' face lol. Also 'Don't make me miss you more than I already do' I'm dead! we all thought that!! This is so so telling tho bitch come back soon, Liv misses you, that team definitely misses you and your brain. Too many men, it's not acceptable! and I don't want random rotating female detectives just to fill the spot (they could have kept Churlish tho??), women are not interchangeable thank you, we need Amanda back! the scene says it all, again. Also also also, holy shit Amanda/Kelli she was soooo hot in that scene, like wow. Blouse, pants, hair everything perfect! this was filmed during the 'lil boo thang dance video' right?!😂😂

Also I love the idea that Liv didn't even bat an eye when she goes all 'Carisi told you about the dolls right?' like it's a given that Amanda knows everything about the cases anyway lol. Does Amanda grill her husband when he comes home in the evening?! 😂😂 "Tell me everything about the case, I'm listening (I'm bored I need a challenge)" so if this is what happens there's no way Carisi doesn't know she's bored and miss SVU, come on, like Liv, he knows her the best, he's just waiting for her to come clean I believe, and I get it, maybe she doesn't want to burst the bubble, also with baby number 3 challenge added, and probably the writers want us to see the moment it happens and with this strike it prolonged everything, I will accept the fact that they haven't talk already as long as they really show it tho, because it needs to happens, she wants back! and she's so needed!

Honestly all the dick wolf shows ended on such an amazing finale that this past week and so of the finales has just totally wowed me (although ngl my favourite ending cliffhanger was FBI International's).

And my shipping heart has been put through the feels with allllll my dick wolf ships. From Rollisi having a baby together, to Liv, Laugh, Love and Scott and Jamie having a Moment and fucking brettsey getting a proposal and my Burzek content. Even getting stellaride feels from Stella going to get her man and my plouch feels even if we didn't get a Trudy cameo in fire and Will going to stay with Natalie, I was so fucking fed.

I have such a love hate relationship with all these shows sometimes, and especially this year I've been quite annoyed with quite a few, but these are the days why I stay honestly. I love all these ships with my whole heart

Think about this AU: Stabler never left, Carisi came early (no stache included) and the squad now had 6 detectives in their unit.

As for the partners, Cragen has Stabler, Benson, and Fin pair up with the new detectives as their partners to train them.

Fin is paired with Rollins (like before)

No but IMAGINE that (also imagine SVU being and staying fully staffed)

Maybe Kathy still goes to Italy and they finally just divorce like they should have done in season 8

We could have gotten more time with Carisi/Rollins/Amaro (cause come on - that was a trio we deserved more of)

Amanda and Elliot butting heads constantly because they're more alike than people realize FIGHT me on that

Elliot and Nick BUTTING heads and Elliot giving him a bit of a hard time until he comes to realize that he can trust Liv with him

Elliot getting someone to talk about his faith with - Elliot and Sonny no longer being the only Catholics on the squad at a time

Cragen getting hints of something between Rollins and Carisi and thinking not again

Elliot believing Amanda about William Lewis from the start and that whole arc with Liv never fucking happening because ain't no way in hell Elliot was gonna let her go home alone.

ELLIOT IS THERE TO SEE OLIVIA ADOPT NOAH

He steps up and helps out with anything she needs - maybe gives her some of Eli's old baby clothes

Since Nick is thriving out in California - maybe he still leaves and does the same thing he does in canon but they still keep in touch and maybe they video chat him if they ever need his help on cases

Maybe Elliot still eventually leaves for Organized Crime (this is just me still wanting Jet in the picture) but he doesn't just vanish - and they still work together a lot

Hell Maybe Rollisi would have happened a little bit sooner (maybe in 19 and maybe Billie would rightfully be his)

Sonny still leaves for the DA's office because "If there's a chance that our daughter doesn't have both parents with a gun in their faces, I've got to take it" and they still fight about it; but it's not as bad as in 21x05

Thinking about how Jesse and Noah would be the catalyst for pushing Rollisi and EO together

Liv still moves up the ranks and they still get Kat (and she stays this time)

I totally just hijacked this ask; but like you can't drop an AU on me and expect me not to daydream about it....

I could probably get so much more out of this; but this is all that my brain came up with at the moment.
